Such a beautiful location, we felt so secluded! We saw deer, an eagle and a little downy woodpecker gave us a show on a tree just outside the screened in porch which was a favorite spot for our morning coffee and to listen to the rain. So peaceful .
The water crossing was indeed a challenge with glacier cold water I decided to take a wrong step on a slippery rock and do a face plant in the cold water!
With pretty much only my pride hurt (and a video my hubby happened to be taking of me at the time) it definitely made a memorable trip!
We would definitely come back! And I were not to step now! ;)

We had a great time. The adventure crossing the stream was fun for the kids. Felt very private at the cabin spot. The short trails to hike around were fun and the kids explored and were very excited when they found the old car in the woods. Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful secluded space, other campsites are far enough away that you only run into each other if you want to. Creek was lovely as well. Calming background sound. Will do again!
The luggage loo worked great!
Almost prefer able to a pit toilet, as u can put it however close or far away as you want it. The haul out part, wasn't too bad either. Just knot the bag and seal the dlb ziplock. It was easy enough to drop off at the gas station garbage.

We absolutely loved our stay at Island Blue! There were other campers at the next site over but we felt so secluded and couldn’t hear a thing. The creek was so beautiful and we really enjoyed sitting and admiring it from our camp. The bathroom was a little ways away from the camp site, but they had luggable loos available. We also weren’t quite sure where the bluff hike was, and we didn’t have service to ask JT. So just a heads up to maybe reach out before hand since there isn’t much service. We loved the solitude and the camp site was absolutely perfect! Would love to come back and bring our bikes to go on the Cannon Valley Bike trail which is right by the site!

We really enjoyed our time at the cabin at Belle Creek Bluff. A great mix of roughing it while having a shelter for sleeping, playing board games at night, and getting away from bugs if needed (there weren't that many). Fording the stream was a highlight, adding a sense of adventure and seclusion. Even though there were other campers on the property, we rarely heard or saw them. The surroundings were beautiful and the firepit area was a great place for cooking and campfire discussions. Would definitely go back here again!

I came to Belle Creek Bluff on a solo camping trip, and I loved it 😭 At the Green Canopy site, there are multiple short trails into the woods that you can use to gather downed wood. The cabin area is shady, with dappled light in the daytime. For full sun, there’s a large grassy area between the creek and the cabin that’s also perfect for stargazing at night. My favorite part of the trip was kayaking! They have a little supply station set up outside the blue campsite (there are 3 campsites, color coded by blue, yellow, and green, which is also the order in which you come across them as you drive in). That supply station is where you’ll find a couple kayaks & paddles, life vests, luggable loos, firewood for $1/piece, etc. After lugging your kayak to your campsite, you can paddle upstream—heads-up: you’ll be pulling the kayak over the very shallow areas—and float back down to your site (JT recommended this idea to me!). The entire site is well-kept, inc the outhouse. I miss Belle Creek already and only wish I’d booked a longer stay <3

10/10! We arrived at night which made arrival extra exciting. But it was worth it to have more time and fully enjoy the creek. Amazing bird watching, fun to fish and my dog had the time of his life. My only regret was packing lighter and taking more time off of work. ;)

The cabin was amazing! A nice screened in porch when it rained. There’s even marshmallow skewers hanging on a tree to use. What a great place to explore!

Felt remote without being in the back woods. Easy drive from road to parking. We had a lot of rain and stayed nice and dry in the cabin with it's screen porch. Would recommend bringing bright lights as it can be a bit dark if cloudy. Nice and clean. Wagon was a blessing for getting a few things over the creek. Nice paths mowed for walking throughout the property. Lots of birds and the creek as a soundtrack.

What a beautiful site. We felt very secluded despite there being two other sites on the land. We could not see anyone. Absolutely gorgeous view with the stream which was perfect for playing in. We were also able to bike right over to the Cannon Valley trail and spent a beautiful day biking to Red Wing. We will absolutely be back. Our two children loved it!

Yes, you have to cross the river to get to this cabin in the woods. Try it at night just for fun. You wake up take your folding chairs and sit in the river and enjoy.

This spot is beyond lovely! We stayed at Island blue site. It was easy to access, private, quiet, and with easy creek access to dip toes. Our hosts were easy to communicate with answering a few questions we had before the trip. 7 minute bike ride to Welch mill tubing. 10/10 would recommend.

I absolutely loved this place. The sites are very private and perfectly spaced. Feels like you're alone aside from seeing other campers while looking upstream.The cabin is by far the best of the 3 sites if you have the ability to haul your stuff across the river and up a small hill. They even provide a cart for you to make the trek! The cabin was simple but clean. You can purchase firewood but with the trails around this site, it was very easy to find downed trees/branches. It is somewhat picked over near the cabin but a short trip up the hill was lucritive. There were very few mosquitos. I don't wear bug spray so I brought 2 thermacells and kept them going and barely saw any bugs. The River water is very clean and refreshing. Bring a chair to sit in it! The owners were accommodating in letting me bring my small travel trailer to the parking site. I didn't sleep in the cabin but had I known it's excellent condition I would have left the squaredrop at home. Book early. These sites are picked over for good reason!

Rented the cabin with a friend and her kids, the kids had a blast. No one around so they could run and play as loud as they wanted. Our dog loved running off leash like a wild woman!
We jumped in the creek and played around that felt great. Only thing I would have done different was to pack lighter and bring a big lantern.

Campers from another camp site kept coming across rapids and walking into our site which had dogs worked up. I go camping for the tranquility and to avoid humans. Asked nicely and got attitude and hostility so we ended up leaving early. This is 1st time we have had this happen. No chance of relaxation after couple interactions like that. Beautiful site, people suck sometimes!

We're had a great stay and will definitely return! Short walk to the cabin. Creek crossing was below knee level even after significant rain. Our kids loved playing in the creek. The screened in porch was perfect.

Getting to the site was easy, directions were clear on getting to the site and they had firewood to get us started! We set up tucked under the trees knowing the second night would be rainy.
There was plenty of sun, space to spread out and truly enjoy the beautiful evening that was the first night.
If there’s anything that was worth griping about it was access to the creek from the site. It has rained a lot lately and it was already steep. So coming up from the creek proved to be a muddy endeavor and now I’m at the top and can’t rinse my feet, legs etc off.

This place was perfect for us. We loved everything about it. The creek (and all the steams in the area) were at high water levels during our time there (water up to our knees and higher carrying our stuff across) but it was not a problem for us. We will be back!

It was a very sweet setting. We saw incredible amount of native MN woodland plants, and so many kinds of birds, butterflies, dragonflies, and had an amazing firefly light show both nights. The green canopy cabin was a perfect hangout, even in the rain. The only issue we had is we had to cross Belle Creek to get to the cabin, and after 2 days of heavy rain, the creek had a much stronger current and was quite a bit deeper than when we arrived, so the return was very tricky, even a little scary!
