Gearing up for our 5th season as the new owners of The Sportsman's Port. We have made many updates and will continue to do so. We take pride in a clean bath house, and want everyone to have a great time at our campground. Sometimes it's crazy booked up and other times it may just be you. Feel free to ask any questions you may have and we will answer them as soon as we can. We look forward to meeting lots of new faces and hopefully starting family traditions for you and yours. We have spacious sites that are all different shapes and sizes. Depending on the site it may have 20/30/50 amp service depending on the site. There are currently only three that have 50 amp service. Also some sites have a septic hookup. Water fill station is located near the bathhouse. There is a private dump station also available for use just ask.

Site # 15 has a 20 and 30 amp plug in. Also has a septic hookup. Water fill station is near the bathhouse. One of the largest sites available. The pavilions are located right across from this site. Site 15 can be seen in the picture it starts where the big 5th wheel and truck are.

Site #34 is really big but a little harder to get into. We had our 34' camper in it for a few years it had 3 slide outs. there is a septic hook-up on that site as well. 20/30/50 amp box for all types of plugs. Kind of in its own area as well nice separated secluded site.

The camper is in Site #7. you pull in and unhook your vehicle and then drive out of the site. It will take pretty much any size camper. Also grassy areas if only using tents. 30 amp plug is behind the camper and also has a regular plug in. The bathhouse is right across the drive. The camper in the picture is in the site #7. Septic hook up on site. Water fill station is by the bathhouse.

Sleeper cabin is located in site #1. the cabin includes electric, a full size fridge with freezer, a table and 4 chairs, also a microwave and a bunk bed with a full size bed on bottom and a twin size on top. Sleeps 3 as is but has room for an air mattress or space to pitch a small tent. Bedding isn't provided with the rental so please bring your own. Also please no smoking or pets in the cabin. There is a small tv in the unit that only has a antenna for some local channels. There is also a window air-conditioner in the unit. It is centrally located between the bath house and campground office. There is a campfire ring and picnic table included with the site.

Great little campground, nothing fancy but everything was clean and well kept. The host was great and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Checked in with us to make sure everything was going good. Definitely planning to go back.

My husband and I rented a site here for our anniversary and we had a great time! The owner was very welcoming and super chill! The showers and restrooms are very clean and smelt good. We will bring our kids here too since there’s an open area with things for kids to do and places for parents to hang out! We came up to ride the trails and there are plenty of spots to start that fun! Thank you, Thomas for being a great host! I’m sure we will be back.

I would ABSOLUTELY camp here again. The (non-electric) lots were level and very private. The bathrooms and showers were clean and well maintained. The only thing I would caution anyone on is that there aren't quiet time hours. However, just remember to pack your earplugs in case there are any unwanted noises!

Nice and clean campgrounds. The bathrooms and showers were very clean and the water was plenty warm. We added on a few bundles of wood for the fire pit and the price was very reasonable and we were given a large stack of firewood. There is a basketball court and sand volleyball. If you want to play bring your own ball. The volley ball sand area is a bit small and a bit rough, so watch your toes if you play. Stayed at site #9 which has some nice tree cover and a spot in the back where we were able to hang up our hammock. The walk to the bathroom from this site was quite short. No complaints at all, would stay again!

Clean and quiet space. We had #9 and it was spacious and very nice. Bathroom/shower very clean. Great place to camp if you are wanting to get away to a less crowded, cramped space. And very popular for kayaking,canoe the river.

We had a wonderful 3-night stay at Tom's campground. We arrived quite late at night and weren't sure how to find our site, but to our surprise, Tom’s wife greeted us and personally guided us there. Both she and Tom are incredibly nice and run a very family-friendly campground. The entire place is well-maintained, with clean bathrooms, a playground for the kids, and everything we needed. We had other plans so didn't get to enjoy their canoe/kayak rental, maybe next time.

Great 2 night stay on site #15. Large, grassy and just what we needed for a few days of downtime. The host was super friendly, but not over bearing like some hosts can be. Facilities were clean and smelled good. Appreciate the stay and will recommend to others.

Perfect for a getaway!

Tom was an excellent host! The cabin was ready for us when we arrived. It was clean and comfortable. The bathroom and shower house were very clean and well lit. We took a float down the Pine River and it was incredible. The shuttle came right to our site to pick us up and bring us back. Highly recommend doing this. The location is just over 20 minutes away from the gorgeous manistee beaches on Lake Michigan. That was great for us as avid rock hunters. We will be back and have already told friends about the spot. It’s a great little hidden gem!

The campground was well maintained and spacious. We enjoyed access to clean showers and bathrooms and had electricity at our campsite. There was close proximity to great trout fishing. Overall, it was a very nice experience, we would stay there again in the future.

We had such a great time at sportmans and site #34 was perfect! Nice little park for the kids and nice clean bathrooms and showers with hot water! They were so nice and welcoming and helpful with everything we needed. I would definitely recommend to anyone! 10 out of 10 for sure!!!!

This was an amazing 3 night getaway! Site 36 was very nice and back away from the rest. Very spacious and Thomas was very accommodating and helpful! Having nice clean bathrooms and showers was just icing on the cake. Had a great time and would love to go back sometime.

Site #2 was pretty tight to get into with my TT. But once I got parked, we really enjoyed the campground. It has a very unique layout and all the amenities needed. Including a small camper store on site, and clean bathroom/shower house. The owners are super friendly and so helpful. The area is lovely and my favorite by far was our visit to Tippy Dam right down the street! I would love to visit again but for sure will call to make sure my TT will fit the space.

This was an excellent place to land and Thomas is an excellent host. I enjoyed my stay in the rustic area and loved that I could book a paddle trip on the pine River through sportsman's port, which meant I didn't have to worry about a permit for the river. The livery service was excellent and a great price. Thomas is well known on hip camp for his bath houses and they do not disappoint. Wood delivery is a great little bonus and the prices for rustic camping here are very reasonable. The rustic campsites are lovely, and even though it was busy during a holiday weekend, at other times you will have plenty of privacy in those sites. They're shady and grassy with fire pits and tables and vault toilets, although the modern bathrooms are not far away. There's also a picnic shelter and grill back there and plenty of trails and forest to wander. I'm planning to go back next year and felt like Thomas and his staff really cared about everyone having a good experience. It might not look super fancy but it has everything you need (including a camp store) and there is a large corner store just down the road. Love this place, and I truly appreciate Thomas' excellent service and care.
