Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.

Welcome to Firefly Field. Here you will enjoy a private rustic camping experience near a large pond with plenty of wildlife. You can hear the frogs, watch the fish, view ducks, and see deer running. As the name suggests, you'll also get to see fireflies all around the field. Grab your camping gear and a few jars and enjoy this beautiful spot. At Firefly Field you'll be 15 minutes from Fletchers pond, 25 minutes from Alpena, 15 minutes from Atlanta, and only 5 minutes away from ORV trails in Hillman. You will have easy access to the camp site off M32 and privacy as there are no surrounding houses.Firefly Field Campsite is a flat grassy space adjacent to a pond and farmland, perfect for relaxing and fishing. Guests will enjoy 5 acres to themselves, but please note that swimming will be done at your own risk. There are no hookups at this site. Guests will need to be self-contained, take waste with them, and leave no trace.

Rustic retreat

Firefly Field

Randy's place is awesome and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for outdoor recreation / Up north camping retreat. It is very rustic and this time of year "July" The heat along with bugs are expected so bring the necessary supplies and you will be fine! No toilet onsite along with electricity but we knew that coming in and made the correct adjustments and didn't impact our trip much. So much future potential as I was told it is under constant improvement but regardless Randy was a spectacular host and I look forward to visiting again someday!
