Site 1 - Elm Valley
Our host was great when we arrived and explained how we should park and respected our privacy after our arrival until our departure. Our site was relatively quiet and there were some nice walking trails off of our campsite so that we could walk our dog through the woods. The location was only about 2 mi from the Leelanau Trail and just a few miles south of Suttons Bay which made it very convenient for some touring and avid bicycling.

Amazing trip, host was fantastic. I would highly recommend!
My husband and I had an amazing stay at Jayne’s property. It was a great location to see the surrounding area and close to the bike trail. Very peaceful and quiet nights. Great communication with Jayne as well. Thank you for offering up your amazing property for others to enjoy! We’d 100% stay again if in the area. Thank you!

Site 1 - Elm Valley
This is our 2nd time at Elm Valley! Booked both sites and had plenty of space for 2 tents, 1 tear drop camper, and 3 vehicles. Firewood provided and the hosts are very friendly and quick to respond if there are questions. Quiet and conveniently located. Will definitely be back, we love camping here.
It was a great place to stay!!! Site#1 offered us privacy in the evenings around the fire and the joys of being greated by Barred Owls. Enjoyed listening to all the wild life. Jayne's spot was a perfect location in all directions to see things, visit surrounding towns like traverse, leland, and Old Mission. We had a beautiful time. Marty, the camp host, had wonderful suggestions for visiting near by foods and attractions. We were able to also meet Marty's wife as well as Jayne and husband, Mike. They are the nicest humans!!! Would love to return here again someday. 🙂

It was so peaceful and quiet and private. Our site backed into a small hill and the woods was right behind us. Close to many wineries and the bike trail. Jayne was very friendly from the first minute we arrived. The camp host Marty was also very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend staying here.

Absolutely perfect weekend. Jayne’s sites are excellent, easy to get into, and accessible to so much in the area. Getting in was a breeze and Jayne was a perfect host.
This was a great spot and great location minutes away from Traverse City, Suttons Bay, and Glen Arbor. We were greeted by Marty and Jayne upon arrival. They helped us get situated and filled us in on some extras they could offer. Recommend a few places to eat and explore.
Couldn’t have asked for a better host or place to stay. We are looking forward to our next stay!

Site 2 - Elm Valley
Jayne and her husband were excellent hosts. Jayne was there when we arrived and guided us right to our sites. When we mentioned our plans for the next day, she even shared tips on the best beaches to look for Petoskey stones. Marty, the camp host for the summer, was very friendly as well.
When we were hitching up to leave, the head of a bolt on our hitch snapped off, leaving the remaining piece stuck with no way to unscrew it. Marty had the tools to cut and remove it, then set us up with a new bolt so we could get back on the road. We were incredibly grateful for his help.
We will definitely stay with them again the next time we camp in the area. Great location and truly top‑notch hosts.
This is our fourth year in a row visiting this host's campsites. You can read my earlier reviews for more details. For this review I'll simply say we'll be back again next year!

Phenomenal hosts! Super accommodating and always willing to help with anything we needed!
The site was a bit tricky to back into but host was helpful in guiding me in. The campsite was spacious with plenty of room for my dogs’ pen with room to spare. Quiet and peaceful surroundings with a small decorated trail that goes to the neighboring site.
A little stick man mysteriously appeared on my bumper … we let him stay 😂
Will definitely stay here again if we are back in the area!
We loved our stay at Elm Valley.! The location was perfect; close to everything we love about northern Michigan! It was a short ride to the bike trail which took us into Suttons Bay and Traverse City. The hosts were very friendly. The site was beautiful and very quiet. I will definitely stay here again!
We love site one for our smaller camper. So cozy! This was our second time here. The hosts are so nice and helpful. We had trouble with our hose and Mike came over and helped us. It’s very quiet and private and very pretty. Our dog was welcome there. They had water and electric hook up. It’s so close to everything we wanted to do that we could come home partway during the day and then go back out in the afternoon. Would recommend!

We had a great time camping on Jayne's property. It was quite and peaceful, while still being very conveniently located for exploring the area. Would love to stay again!
The directions to her camp were perfect. The site was better than I had hoped for. She even helped us when our water hose was leaking. My hisband and I enjoyed staying at this site.
Perfect spot for everything on the Leelanau Peninsula! The camp site was perfect and backed up to rolling hills, trees and trails. The electricity, water and WiFi were fantastic and made our stay in our camper even more enjoyable.
Jayne is a fantastic host and met us in the driveway to ensure we were settled and then was only a text away if we needed anything.
We explore all over the peninsula and down around Glen Arbor, the camp site is perfectly situated for access to everything!
We had a fantastic stay at Site 1 – Elm Valley (hosted by Jayne). From the moment we arrived, Jayne greeted us warmly, offered firewood, and helped guide our 22-ft travel trailer into the perfect spot. The site was level, flat, with water & electric hookups—just what we needed. We were among the last campers of the season and feel grateful we were able to secure such a great location. The location was very convenient—several wineries were just a short drive away—making it easy to explore when time permitted. We were in town for the Iceman Cometh Challenge mountain bike race and enjoyed chatting with Jayne about the event and her family/friends who’ve done it. Upon departure, her husband stopped by to ensure everything was good—it wrapped up the stay perfectly. Jayne is exactly the kind of host you hope for: friendly, attentive but unobtrusive. We’ll absolutely plan to return—maybe next summer to make fuller use of those nearby wineries. Highly recommended.
The fall colors were incredible at our favorite Hip camp! Gorgeous weekend and wonderful place to camp!
We absolutely loved our stay here! The scenery was stunning—fall colors everywhere and peaceful views in every direction. It was incredibly quiet and relaxing, perfect for a weekend getaway. The campsite were large, clean, and perfectly level, which made setup a breeze. You can really tell the hosts take pride in keeping the place beautiful and well-maintained.
We’ve done a lot of fall camping, and this was easily one of our favorites. We’ll definitely be coming back!
Jayne’s land was beautiful! The site was spacious and level! Jayne was friendly and welcoming. There were cute little pumpkins waiting for us on the picnic table. Tons to do in the area, but at the site it felt like we were truly away from it all. Would definitely stay there again!

We enjoyed our stay there. The owners were great people and the sites were nice. Our group had both sites and it was just right for our stay. Close to Travers City and close to the bays and local attractions. would stay again

Our family of four had an absolutely wonderful experience camping here in Northern Michigan! From the very beginning, communication with the hosts was excellent, and the booking process was simple and stress-free.
The grounds were spotless and clearly well cared for, making it easy to feel comfortable and relaxed from the moment we arrived. The location is unbeatable—just a short drive to Suttons Bay, Leland, Northport, Empire, and Traverse City, which made exploring the area a breeze.
Setting up camp was effortless, with water and power hookups that worked perfectly—no issues at all. Everything was smooth and convenient, allowing us to focus on making memories together.
What truly set this trip apart, though, were the hosts themselves. They went above and beyond to share their knowledge of the area and even took the time to teach us and our children about their incredible talents in woodworking and Petoskey Stone carving. It was both educational and unforgettable, and our kids are still talking about it!
We would return in a heartbeat and are already looking forward to our next visit. This place is a gem, and we can’t recommend it enough!

The site (site 1) was very private. The electric and water hook-ups were new and worked perfectly. It was nice to have fire wood and trash services on site as well. The best thing was the location as it was very close to everything we wanted to do the entire weekend. We would certainly stay there again.
