Located between Sugarloaf and Saddleback Mountains, The Maine Roadhouse is the perfect base for skiing, hiking, biking, fishing, and exploring the High Peaks region. The Appalachian Trail passes nearby, with easy access to the Bigelow Range, Flagstaff Lake, and miles of scenic backroads and rivers. We’re a small, family-run lodge set on a peaceful 2-acre property with a 16-bed bunkhouse and five private rooms. Guests have access to multiple common areas with a cozy fireplace, ping pong, air hockey, and a book library. Outside, you’ll find a large fire pit, cabana, and BBQ grill for gathering after a day of adventure. The fully stocked kitchen and on-site laundry make it easy to settle in and feel at home. Whether you’re here for a weekend adventure or just passing through, you’ll find a clean, comfortable place to rest, recharge, and enjoy the best of Maine’s mountain country.

Campsite At The Maine Roadhouse
Absolutely wonderful people and great space! Chris and Lisa were kind enough to let me sleep inside as it was snowy and cold at nighttime when I arrived with my dog, as only one other guest was staying. Lisa also offered the other guest and I breakfast; she makes great gluten-free vegan pancakes & the Appalachian Trail hiker had eggs, too. They have a beautiful philosophy of giving back, very cute donkeys, and I just feel so fortunate to have met them… all! Thank you so much! Hope to see you again, soon!

Fun place to camp with great amenities - real bathroom and use of kitchen. Pitched my tent near a meadow with two friendly donkeys. Really enjoyable couple of days.

Chris and Lisa are over the top kind, professional and caring. As soon as you walk in, you are family. The main building is rustic and awesome and we camped in the back field and it was wonderful. Every amenity you could imagine and hikers fresh off the AT. They are all very nice and interesting. We extended our stay.
