The campground was great! Not too big, not too small. Beautiful pool, bounce pad and playground. Great hiking train right on the property. Staff was so kind and bathroom is were spotless!

It's a neat and clean campground. The restrooms were spotless. It's peaceful and beautiful. The linens package I received was a pleasant bonus. Comforter and pillows were plush, sheets were nice and towels seemed new. Very nice! Staff was pleasant and polite. It's been over 15 years since I've been camping and the cabin with linens was a step up I needed. I would book again.

Quick and easy booking. Lovely camping resort, beautiful grounds, perfect pool, cute store and even a huge “jump-o-line” for the kids. Celeste and her staff were stellar, welcomed and greeted me by first name🌻 I’ve stayed at the Austerlitz location and clearly-the SS Camping Family has high standards of service!

Walnut Grove had clean campsites and restroom facilities. Our daughter loved the Jumping Pillow (like a big trampoline) and we all enjoyed the pool. The staff were friendly.

My husband and I recently stayed at Spacious Skies Campgrounds - Walnut Grove in Alfred, ME, and we had a wonderful experience! We booked one of their tiny cabins and were pleasantly surprised by how comfortable and well-equipped it was. The cabin had A/C, a small fridge, a TV, and three beds — perfect for relaxing after a day outdoors. It also came with clean bed sheets and towels, which was a nice touch.
Outside, we had our own picnic table and fire pit, which made for some cozy evenings. The shower and restroom facilities are located in the main building, just a short 2-minute walk from our cabin — very convenient and everything was clean and well-maintained.
The campground itself is mostly geared toward RVs, but they do have three of these cute tiny cabins. There's a pool, some arcades, and a small shop on-site, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, a great place to unwind and enjoy nature without giving up comfort. We’d definitely come back!

We enjoyed our stay at Spacious Skies. It was during the off season and we were a little disappointed that the office was seldom open. With that said, the sites were big and they're were plenty of area around the campground for walking. We did take a hike on the connected trail (it appears to be a snowmobile trail) and our dogs came home covered with ticks! We would not recommend you take that hike.

Nice little campground. A bit out-of-the-way. Most of the campers are there for the season. We were put in a private spot. The toilets and showers are very nice.

Riverside Retro Camper Rental
Unfortunately, we didn’t get to stay here. A tree fell on our accommodations. They were very nice and tried to accommodate with cabins instead but there was not one with a bathroom and so we had to find another place to stay. Hopefully, we will get to stay there someday.

Nice campground. Experienced issues w water pipes. They fixed immediately but muddy site in rain. Power hookup would overload and had to reset. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and quiet.

Super accueil! Terrain de camping vaste, salle de bain très propre et salle de lavage disponible. J'ai adoré mon séjour et j'y reviendrai certainement.
Ha oui, il y a un terrain de jeu pour les enfant et un grande piscine que nous n'avons malheureusement pas eu le temps d'essayer. Merci beaucoup et à bientôt 🏕️

Good campground. Especially for families with young kids
A lot to keep them busy! They have the coolest bounce pillow...a huge pillow trampoline. Kids love it.
Spaces were pretty darn big. Affordable too. The park is fairly far out so bring a car or electric bikes. Lots of stuff to do in nearby towns and the area.

Beautiful campground nestled amongst the beautiful Maine scenery. Lots of seasonal campers; we chose this campground because we were able to book a single night stay on a weekend. That turned out to be just a bonus, what a family friendly getaway! Great pool with diving board, huge jump pad for many kids to enjoy at once, lots of open space, kan jam and horseshoes, basketball, arcade, so many fun activities included! Staff was friendly, bathrooms are updated and clean (FREE showers!), laundry on site, even the seasonal campers were friendly and kind. Nice size sites, we were tucked into the trees which was a reasonable walk to all the activities, and overall, the campground is quiet and peaceful. Really enjoyed our stay here, offers a great experience at a reasonable rate!

Perfect campground and NOT overcrowded!! Booked a family camping vacation Saturday to a Thursday! Our kids had a blast between the pool, Jump pad, Recreation room, basketball hoop and park! They always had something to do! Sites are spacious, staff is friendly. We will definitely be back the next time we camp in Maine!

Spacious skies - walnut Grove is a hidden gem in Alfred Maine! Nice welcoming small campground with all the amenities of actives of the big campgrounds. Very clean and well maintained. The young couple that runs this campground are welcoming, accommodating, and very friendly! They run all the planned activities as well as maintain the bathrooms and grounds.
The camp sites are very spacious and there are nice aged trees throughout that provide plenty of shade on those hot summer days.
The price for a full hook site is priced fairly which is what continues to bring us back here.
We stayed Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends 2023 and both stays were excellent!
Thank you for the opportunity to stay at a beautifully maintained campground!
The young couple that runs and maintains everything here are lovely and very hard workers!!
Thank you again and we hope to see you again next summer!!
