This place was so awesome I almost wish I could keep it a secret. It was so private and the pictures don’t even do it justice. The hosts are great at communication while allowing space and privacy. I will be heading back!

We absolutely loved our stay on Joel’s land. Unbelievably beautiful spot. Spacious and quiet. Only ten minutes or so from amenities but feels a world away. We absolutely loved riding our bikes up and down the hill at sunset. We’d come back any time (and plan to!). One thing, we booked site one thinking it was the site at the top of the hill with a picnic table (as we car camp usually and don’t have a table handy). When we arrived, other campers were already set up in what we thought was our site. I based this assumption on previous campers reviews, and the fact that it says there’s a picnic table at the site on HipCamp. We found another great spot down the hill and set up there, but it was a little more difficult without a table and frankly a little confusing as to where to set up as sites aren’t numbered and we didn’t want to intrude on anyone else. A minor inconvenience as we still had an amazing time.

From the moment we arrived until the second we reluctantly packed up, our time there was nothing short of perfection. The views? Prepare to have your jaw on the ground, Seriously, they are beyond stunning – panoramic, breathtaking, and just endlessly captivating. We spent hours just soaking it all in, mesmerized by the sheer beauty surrounding us. Every angle offered a new Instagram worthy scene. But it wasn't just the scenery that made this trip so incredible; it was the entire vibe and, of course, Joel himself. He's an absolutely fantastic host – welcoming, helpful, and clearly passionate about providing an amazing experience. Everything was set up perfectly, making our stay easy, comfortable, and utterly relaxing. We had an amazing time – truly one of the best getaways we've ever had. If you're seeking a place that combines unparalleled natural beauty with a top-notch hosting experience, look no further. This Hipcamp is a total gem, and Joel is simply the best. We're already dreaming of our next visit!

Easily one of the best places I’ve camped in New England. We had the whole place to ourselves. The views are spectacular, it’s very private and peaceful, and there’s so much room to explore. It’s worth coming to this area of Maine just to stay here. The family’s farm store in town, Berry Fruit Farm, is a must visit! Delicious food! We will definitely be back!

We had the pleasure of staying at Joel's campsite, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The location offers a serene and peaceful spot, overlooking mountains and a a lake. The expansive space allowed us and our dogs to fully enjoy the outdoors and really take in the beauty of the surroundings. The night sky here is an absolute highlight—on clear evenings, you’re treated to a dazzling display of stars that feels almost otherworldly. It’s a perfect spot for stargazing. Finding the site was a breeze, thanks to clear directions provided by Joel. Additionally, the host was incredibly responsive and answered all of our questions promptly, which made the whole experience even smoother. We also visited the Berry Fruit Farm store in nearby Livermore Falls, where we picked up some goodies and had lunch. The store belongs to Joel's family. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway with plenty of room to roam and a stellar night sky, I highly recommend this place. It’s truly a gem!

Love it here! Second time back and will be back again! Joel is very nice and quick to respond The sites at the time of this review are first come first serve from what I can tell and are unmarked. Plenty of great spots so lots to choose from if the first two are taken. One thing to note is, as far as I know the only site with a picnic table is the first site, so I’d bring a camp table just in case you don’t end up at that site!

We loved this hidden gem! Beautiful land with very spacious campsite spaces. Lots of butterflies and other beautiful bugs. The wild fire smokes hid the stars at night but I’d imagine they’re absolutely stunning there. Can’t wait to come back.

Great camping spot for both ground tents and vehicle tents, super flat and easy to access. Great views from all areas (you can see a lake and mountains in the distance). We were the only campers the night we stayed here, but I believe there are 8 total sites. We will definitely return! Our only hiccup was that we could not find any identifications noting which site we were at, thankfully we were the only campers that night, so it wasn't an issue.

We had the best time at Joel's campsite! It is absolutely gorgeous and so peaceful. Before we left, we were already making plans to come back. I will wholeheartedly recommend this spot to anyone who wants to get off the beaten path.
