Located in Beattyville, Kentucky, Firefly Hills is a brand-new RV park near the Red River Gorge. We offer 15 full hook-up RV sites, RV rentals, and bedroom rentals in our beautiful farmhouse. Our RV park is committed to providing a safe and inclusive space where individuals can explore the great outdoors, experience homesteading skills, and foster a community atmosphere. We offer family friendly camping with several natural play spaces. Explore the birthplace of the Kentucky River, Red River Gorge, Natural Bridge State Park, Daniel Boone National Park, and more. We are just a short trip from Lexington, KY, Cincinnati, OH, Knoxville, TN, and Louisville, KY. There are many activities to do nearby in the Red River Gorge including hiking, rock climbing, underground kayaking, zipling, and enjoying the many great farm to table restaurants. Together, we strive to build an inclusive space where all people feel welcome and safe to enjoy the outdoors regardless of gender identity, age, race, sexual orientation, physical or mental ability, ethnicity, language or religion. The main floor of the house is a common space. Our living room is perfect for relaxing or socializing with a library stocked with books for all ages. The kitchen is stocked with all the pots, pans and utensils you need for cooking. Enjoy your meal in our lovely decorated dining room. For writers and those who brought their work along on vacation, the house has several workstations equipped with a printer and basic supplies. The house has great cell service and Wi-Fi. The spacious back deck overlooks the garden and fire pit area. Firefly Hills has a swim spa, gazebo and an Oklahoma Joe BBQ smoker/grill for use during your stay.

Site 02 - Standard RV
By far, the best camping experience we have had in our decades of camping! Sites are large and spread out, area is super quiet, bathhouse is super clean with great water pressure. Best part is the community feel; owners encourage interaction with things like a community fire pit, and we had a lovely night with our fellow campers! There is even fresh produce for the taking, a huge dog park, and a wonderful outdoor play area (with clay pit!) for kids. We will be back!

nice little campground with nice people! clean, they have planted gardens throughout to pick from and just nice place. if I had to offer one suggestion it would be to have gates with openers put in. I noticed alot of dogs from neighboring homes like to come in the through the night and day and bark at guests and pets.

Had a fantastic stay! Our kids, 3 and 6 didn't want to leave and now want to move to there. It's small and clean. The vegetable and herb planters you can pick from, is a nice touch. And the mud kitchen was a winner! The bathroom, showers and wash facility were top knot and the staff and owners all made us feel super welcomed. This is a top facility and I would visit again. (pro tip, don't go to a state park after this one!)

Site 10 - Standard RV
We can't say enough good things about Firefly Hills. It is the best set up we have used to date. You will get your spot number the day of your arrival and I have to say that every spot looked like a good location. We would have been happy staying in any of them! Troy and Tonja greet you and let you know about all the fun things to do in the area along with recommendations for places to eat/drink. They were easily accessible at any time during our stay. Each RV spot is roomy with a really nice concrete pad (ours also had a picnic table). The sewer hookup drained perfectly (we've had troubles at other sites before) and the WiFi worked great. The workers were there working on the bathhouse and it is going to be really nice once finished! Our favorite part was the large fenced in field for our dogs to run and play. Our beagle and GSP have a lot of energy and strong hunting instincts so we do not let them go off leash when traveling unless they can be contained. We took them EVERY DAY to the dog park at Firefly Hills where they ran freely and played catch. Tonja also offered up food from their garden and extended an invitation to their 'community' campfire one evening as well as Trivia Tuesday in town. We plan to come back to the area and will absolutely stay here again! Highly recommend the Gorge Underground Kayak Tour (book in advance - they fill up FAST), Southeast Mountain Guides (we did the Via Ferrata), and Red River Gorge Ziplines (book in advance as well).
