Due to the sharp entrance from the road to the driveway, we CANNOT accept rigs over 34' long. We cannot accept 5th wheels (due to height) because of some lower hanging tree branches along the driveway. WE DO NOT ACCEPT LONG TERM STAYS! This land has previously been a tobacco farm, a hay farm, and is now home to a few beef cattle. We have blazed trails through the woods for hiking, created campsites with fire rings, farmed hay, and grown various vegetables for self-consumption. We love the proximity of the farm to town, yet the seclusion we feel when we are on the farm.

I really enjoyed Farm and Forest! We picked the site nearest the road, but the tree line buffered the sound quite well. If you're on the fence - hit reserve!

I love tent camping here. Jennifer is wonderful and the location to everything in Lexington is perfect yet still feels like you are out in the country. Had a deer visit very close to camp on this trip. I highly recommend.

Easy in, easy out. Full hook ups. Close in but not to close to city. Located amongst horse farms and estates. Local restaurant has great food. What's not to like?

Let me start by emphasizing that you should follow the host's directions to camp, especially if you're arriving from the south. We went exploring during our 3-night stay and the way Google would have sent us would have been tight with our 29ft travel trailer. When we first arrived, we were a little apprehensive about the property. The drive was overgrown and it was a bit difficult to make out the entryway. The yard was also a bit overgrown, the fire ring looked like it hadn't been used all summer (there were weeds growing in it), and there were kids' tricycles laying on their sides in front of the house. That being said, the yard had been mowed before we got back from our first day of doing tourist stuff. We were also pleasantly surprised by how level this gravel site is. It didn't require any leveling at all and the hookups were easily accessible. Once we got set up and got our fire started, we felt more comfortable. After our first night, my husband declared this site was his favorite of the five campsites we had stayed at during our trip, three of those being 3+ night stays. The second back-in spot next to us was unoccupied when we arrived and remained so the entirety of our trip. As such, other than the highway noise, it was a pretty quiet spot and felt very private. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again. We highly suggest you visit the Lexington Peddlers Mall. We spent a good amount of time browsing and even found a few knick-knacks and gifts there.

One of Our Favorite Spots

The back barn
This is a peaceful, well-maintained country property near the city. I think they use Mosquito Commander because we have zero problems with mosquitos. Overall, the place isn’t very buggy,. We like that for a few extra $ we have access to a clean bathroom and shower. There are trails for short walks and we like stopping at the pasture to say hi to the cows. We have camped at two sites, Creek Peak and The Barn. Both are very comfortable sites. You do have to take a short walk to get to these. The property feels safe. The owner is very responsive and communicates well.

We just spent a perfect weekend at Farm and Forest, so peaceful and quiet. The site was level and stress free to get into. The trails were well mowed and a treat to walk on. We will be going back! Thank you Jennifer for sharing your beautiful land with us!!

We have camped here several times and always have a great time! Our dogs love it to! The site feels so secluded and remote, like we have the farm to ourselves. And yet it is a quick and easy drive to everything Lexington has to offer!

We had a great time exploring the property & were amazed that such a place exists so close to the city. It’s the perfect place if you have an event in Lexington. Creek Peek is a very spacious site and feels secluded despite being just a short walk into the woods. We especially enjoyed the shade and ambiance of the creek! The bathroom is a plus & the hosts were super friendly. Thank you!!

Perfect camping location to visit Lexington. Only 15 minutes from Rupp arena, but secluded on a farm. Worth noting that our site in particular was a great option if you do not need power. While the grass was tall during our visit, it was out of the control of the host as Kentucky had non-stop storms for the preceding week. The entire state had tall grass during our visit, so we were not surprised and nothing an outdoor rug didn't solve. We are only the third review on this particular site (Water with a View) but I would recommend it. It is very private. While the description may give you the impression you are on the road, you are really about 150 yards away. Not only that, there is a bank of trees right by your site giving you privacy. We really didn't even notice the road. There was plenty of space for us (18 ft RV) and the double farm gates makes it very easy to pull in and out. Truly, if visiting downtown Lexington or catching an event at Rupp Arena, you will not find a better option for camping/RVing.

I had a wonderful stay tent camping on the electrical stage. The shade provided by the roof, flat ground, and three walls surrounding my tent made for a perfect site to set everything up! Having outlets on the walls at this site was a really nice added perk. This hosts land is very nicely maintained, they provided wonderful amenities such as Porta potties, spigot water, a fire pit, an indoor toilet, and a hot water shower. The communication was great. Detailed directions to the property were sent to me before my arrival, and any questions I had were answered clearly and promptly. Given the easy and short 15 minute drive to city and the amazing experience I had while staying here, I will definitely be back again when visiting Lexington!

Truly lovely camping experience Beyond expectations. We were warmly welcomed and walked to a space that revealed itself as a woodland lovers delight. The trails, the barn, the birds, the flowing water, and the overall general accommodations made for a weekend escape from the big city that is already calling us back sooner than later. 10/10 Certainly recommend to campers at heart.

Amazing property! Super close to town and very well kept. Pasture had a small herd of cattle in it and the main grounds were very clean. Super friendly folks who were very accommodating with my camping setup (rooftop tent). Overall highly recommend!

Jenn’s place is the perfect spot if you have activities in Lexington! It’s an easy 6 mile drive to downtown which makes it a great place to enjoy the big city while also relaxing in the country to camp, have a bonfire, and chill from being in the city all day. We will definitely be back:)
