Aloha! Welcome to our Off-Grid South Point Cabin! We are located on the Southern Coast of the Big Island of Hawaii in Discovery Harbor. Our off-grid cabin sits on about an acre of land over-looking the Southern Coast of the island and is self sustaining utilizing electricity powered by Solar and a rainwater catchment system. This cozy abode can easily sleep up to 4 guests as it is equipped with a queen sized bed and twin sized futon. Additional Amenties include : - Fully functional kitchen (sink, camping stove (propane included) , fridge, tableware, cookware, microwave ) - Nespresso Coffee Maker ( Coffee Pods included ) - Queen sized bed - Twin sized futon - Twin sized sleeping foam roll - Sleeping bags - Easy up canopy - Outdoor Shower (Water is sun-heated, so if its cloudy water temp might be a little chilly) - Outdoor Composting toilet - Lanai Sun Lounge - Water Filtration System Whether you are taking in a beautiful ocean view from the lanai, enjoying an early morning cup of coffee or relaxing by the campfire, our cabin is equipped with everything you need for a successful glamping getaway. The cabin is located approximately halfway between Hilo and Kona, so if you plan on visiting both sides of the island it is an ideal stop along the way. In addition, our South Island location allows you to conveniently explore the many landmarks that this side of the Island has to offer. Some of these Include: - The “Southern Most Point of the United Sates”, the South Point Cliffs, about a 10-15 minute drive. - Famous Hawaii Sweet Bread Punalu’u Bakery, about a 10 minute drive. - Green Sands Beach Hike, about a 10-15 minute drive to parking lot. - Punalu’u Black Sand Beach , about a 25 minute drive. - Ka’u Desert Trailhead Hike, about a 35 minute drive. - Volcano National Park , about a 50 minute drive.
