Within a 60-minute drive from the Hawai`i Volcanoes National Park Visitor Center.

We have a one acre of paradise. With a well used fire pit, a chicken coop, warm outdoor shower, a gorgeous view of the stars at night and a safe place to rest your bones. We live 15 minutes from South Point and an 2 mile hike into Green Sands Beach. We are about 30 minutes from Punaluu Black Sands beach. Or 20 minutes to Whittington.Aloha Friends, String up a hammock in the Christmas Berry or pitch a tent on the lawn. We have lots of space, sky and ocean breezes, delicious Ka’u water and stars blanket the sky. Outdoor warm shower behind the house provided. The toilet is a camp style bucket in the woods (so don’t come with high expectations). I also ask that you take your waste with you and dispose of it yourself. We are dog people. So friendly dogs and their people are welcome. If you are lost you may find yourself here. Mahalo Nui Loa.

Beautiful place. Host are very welcoming. We got free delicious oranges . Outdoor shower was great and nice decorated . Stunning sunset too

Good spot to park our campervan, getting there was a little confusing, road is quite bumpy and if raining, large deep puddles getting there just fyi for small cars or cars without 4wheel drive. Toilet is a bucket with a bag in the woods, outdoor shower is nice tho.

This Must Be The Place!

Excellent campsite with running water and facilities. We stayed at a few different Hipcamp sites on this trip, and Lindsey has a lot to offer that other places might not. We were able to fill up our RV water reservoir with her hose - that got us through the 2nd half of our trip and saved us from having to use pricey purified water (which is what we did for the first half of the trip). Excellent view, and wildlife calls enchanted us to sleep at night. Lindsey was also helpful and friendly. It’s a great spot!

Quiet place. The camping spot is right next to a small dirt street, but there is almost no traffic on it. Maybe one car passed there as we were there. Restroom is a Handicap Portable Toilet (a kind of a potty). Poop goes to a garbage bag. The host asked us to take our poop with us. It was OK with us. It was hard to find this place in the evening, as the address shown in Hipcamp doesn't list street number. Found it by comparing the map in Hipcamp with Google Maps.

Lovely peaceful place

Beautiful and peaceful property, we loved the outdoor shower 😍 Lindsey is very friendly and accomodate us when we arrived -a bit late. Definitely recommended!

Great place to relax

Lindsey’s place is charming, quite, and secluded. Great spot to hangout and enjoy some stars or a campfire. My wife enjoyed picking ‘wild’ cherry tomatoes while we prepared dinner. Lindsey is super nice and welcoming —we’ll come back!
