Tres Lagos Farm &amp; Garden

The pictures of this place are incredibly deceptive. Notice that any pictures of the RV are from a distance. This unit should have gone to the junkyard about 15 years ago. It’s just so rundown. The little refrigerator smells like garbage. The toilet overflowed the first time we used it. There’s no space heater so it was freezing cold. The so-called lake was empty. It’s just hard to believe that this place gets a 92% rating as old and nasty looking as it is.

Allergy attack skewed my experience

The hosts were very nice and the place was clean. The bed was wonderful. I enjoyed being able to have a fire. But I couldn't figure out how to get water in the toilet to flush it. I also would have preferred to be further from the host house, but changing that is not conceivable. And, I'm afraid my time was colored by a bad allergy attack. Being winter, it also wasn't as pretty and green as it would be otherwise.

Peaceful stay and friendly people

Such a peaceful location with a lovely family. The site has trees on either side to offer privacy and your only visitors are the chickens and their extremely friendly dogs. Even when my dog freaked out that a random dog came in the area he deemed his, theirs did not and stayed as calm and friendly as could be. We didn’t use the pool because the pool because the evenings were cool and I our kids were playing so well together while I worked but it was cleaned and maintained while I was there by a professional company. The screen structure is gone from the hurricane though, if it matters… I would definitely come back.

First, the positive: the site was scenic, peaceful, near a pretty little pond. We had a nice view of an orchard. We did set up some tents and if we were only tent camping, I’d give this a much higher rating. However, I had been looking for a listing with a small camper to accommodate us in terms of bathrooms/shower, and for extra sleeping space as well as heat in the January cold snap . This camper was pretty awful, though. I intended to sleep there with my baby and toddler, and the mold/animal urine smell alone was intense enough to keep me away. Some of my family members slept there and said the bed was decently comfortable, so that’s a plus. As it turns out, the bathroom/shower combo was so tiny and uncomfortable, that we effectively had no bathroom to use during our trip. (At least for #2 trips.) the shower was cold water only, something that was shared on hipcamp but not made so clear to me. In addition, the temps dropped to 36• the last night, and we found out too late that the camper had AC but no heat. I left early and some braver members of my party stayed to freeze it out. The site is pretty private, there is only one other camping spot listed (for RV) and it’s not too close, but FYI, you are basically in the host’s front yard. the family gave us space, but it still did not feel as private as I had been expecting. I would only recommend this listing if you are tent camping and are using the camper for an emergency bathroom at most (if that. )

Tres Lagos was the perfect location for my friend from WPB and me to meet for one night in order to spread my mother's ashes in the Gulf. The Scamp was comfortable and the property was peaceful. The campers on here complaining about the smell and the condition of the trailer need to remember that it is vintage (old) and Florida is humid, so there are going to be odors and the weather will have taken its toll.

I love coming to Trs Lagos! The land is beautiful, George is a wonderful host, and the Scamper is a well kept and comfortable camper. The bed is probably the most comfortable I've slept in. Thanks again for another great night!

Super cute little vintage camper! Their assortment of trees are beautiful and you MUST get a bottle of the cherry juice that they offer! Definitely bring some gallons of water because the well water smells like eggs. The pool is refreshing and the quietness is super pleasant 🌴 🧘🏼‍♀️

The property was nice and peaceful, many trees, we seen a baby gator. The camper was nice, dont let the outside fool you. It’s an older style camper. Many people on here complaining about bugs and how the property looked, but keep in mind you are camping at someone’s house and they have children. We are in southwest Florida so bugs and fire ants are expected. George was very responsive with questions. Thanks for allowing us to share your property for a night away

Our campsite, Vista de Palmas was very nice. We felt secluded by the huge bamboo plants that made our site private. Electrical and water were provided and George had just installed a place to dump, but our 20 feet of sewer hose was about a foot too short. George was very friendly and responsive. Go to Hogbody’s and Lawhon’s grocery store. Both great little businesses. Thank you George!!

EXCITING ADVENTURE

Enjoyed my first time ever in RV. I WANTED TO EXPERIENCE STAYIN IN A RV FOR THE FIRST TIME AMD I CAN SAY THIS WAS AN EXCITING ADVENTURE, BY THE POND AND AT NIGHT ITS SO QUIET AND PEACEFUL.The RV EVEN HAD PLATES CUPS SOAP TO WASH THE DISHES .. Nice spot for two nights while visiting the area. The last mile is unpaved so we unhooked our tow when the pavement ended. It was a bit tight getting through the gate onto the property, but we were able to maneuver our 40ft class A in. The site was plenty big enough for our rig and truck. Would stay again if in the area.

Overall was an okay experience, was an outdated camper and the pic in the ad were not up to date.. had a bad smell in it, but the bedding was clean. Was a lil over priced for what it was and firewood was an extra price..

The site was a good place to relax - it was very quiet and the mornings were beautiful. The distance from the beaches were a bit of a drive from the location so factor that in if beach time is your thing.

Cat pee smell

We arrived to Tres Lagos only to find this is an old scamp with a flat tire that looks like it’s been sitting in this guys front yard for about 10 years. There was various yard toys and debris scattered across the property. We could have made it work until we got inside the scamp and though there was fresh bedding laid out that was clean and neatly folded, the smell of cat pee was so overpowering we couldn’t stay. I messaged George, but he didn’t respond. This was a waste of money and time. I’m really disappointed in our experience. I’m an amazed at the positive reviews. Buyer beware.
