Peaceville offers 2 campsites and the Safe House (lodging) for 6 people, one booking! At the end of the road where 40 acres meets Pike National forest, there are views of rock formations, snow cap peaks and never ending stars. On the ground are pine, aspen, wildflowers and semi precious minerals. Peaceville is accessible to most vehicles and RVs. There are no houses or lights in sight. Florissant is a certified dark sky place in Colorado. The stargazing is AMAZING! The Safe House is connected to but separate from the main house and is equipped with a queen size bed, full size futon, toilet, shower, utility sink, fridge and stove cook top. Two campsites are available. The Aspen campsite for tent and car camping. Boy Scout campsite for RV's, tent camping and campfire if Teller County has no fire ban. Bring your motor toys, but trailer them to nearby forest access, one mile away. Non motorized humans and toys enter the forest from the property. If you are looking for quiet solitude with access to amenities its here in Peaceville.....Enjoy Nearby attractions: 11 Mile Canyon 15 minutes 11 Mile Reservoir 30 minutes Happy Meadows 30 minutes (river float) Skagway Reservoir 1 hour Florissant Fossil Beds 20 minutes During the day, explore some of the richest fossil deposits in the world, including giant petrified redwood stumps, insects and plants; choose from 14 miles of hiking trails; and check out the visitor center and outdoor exhibit area. At night, amazing stargazing! Head to the Hornbek Homestead area, which has a parking lot and is open 24 hours a day for an amazing look at celestial objects after regular park hours. Night Sky Programs are also held periodically in collaboration with the Colorado Springs Astronomical Society, which provide telescopes, laser-pointer tours and plenty of knowledge. Most vehicles can access the site and park next to the campsite. The Boy Scout campsite is easily accessed from the private road through the property. RV's or tents are allowed on this site. Amenities include gas BBQ grill, picnic table and campfire (wood provided). You will have full access to the Safe House included in your stay! Amenities of the Safe House include Spectacular views, WIFI, sectional leather couch, BBQ grill, flushing toilet, hot shower, utility sink, refrigerator, stove top, microwave, wood stove, queen size bed, full size futon and dining table. All sites include Pike National Forest access on foot. Trailering ATV and Motor Cycles to Pike National Forest entrance is one mile drive.

BEAUTIFUL property with two campsites nestled in a large aspen grove in a "dark sky" area of Colorado. Amy and John were so welcoming and kind and communication was great! The campsites feel very private and remote, while still being accessible to activities and a few businesses. The Aspen site feels more shaded and woodsy, while Boyscout is more open with nice views. It was great to have the whole camping space to ourselves along with the safe house option a short hike away for food storage, indoor plumbing, WiFi, and escape from the rain :) Wish we could have stayed longer!

Pretty property, but John started obnoxiously chain-sawing at 7am for 3 hours straight. Him & Amy reside basically in the “safe house” - which is an extended bedroom from their nest. AWD is a must, as the roads leading to the campsites are extremely narrow & rocky - tuck in your mirrors!

My family and I would first and foremost like to say thank you John and Amy for lovely welcome, the caring texts, and exciting notifications! We had a perfect weekend at your gem of a resort, I mean camp site. Moments we will not forget. We are so lucky to have stayed here and met you two! Tent camping was a breeze, and the safe house is a close, well stocked refuge that is so cute. We loved the art inside and out. We visited the fascinating fossil beds, swam at 11 mile, and ate some good local food before returning for a second night. We had a hot shower, good coffee, and a genuine farewell with kindness and respect from these wonderful hosts who provided everything we could have needed, including a generous check out time! 10/10 We hope to see you in the future! Thanks again!

Wow!!! What a beautiful location, fresh air, mountain hiking and STARS galore! I absolutely loved this campsite, my daughter and I also enjoyed staying inside too, very comfortable and accommodating site. Will definitely come back next time we visit Colorado!
