Set on five acres surrounded by National Forest, this solar-powered camper offers a quiet glamping getaway with fresh mountain air and easy access to Colorado’s best adventures.Set on five acres of private land surrounded by National Forest, this cozy solar-powered camper offers a quiet glamping-style getaway with big skies, fresh mountain air, and easy access to Colorado’s best outdoor adventures. Inside the camper, enjoy a comfortable queen bed with a warm down comforter, a small kitchen stocked with dishes and basics for simple meals, a shower, a cozy dinette nook, and propane heat to keep you warm on chilly nights. A small couch folds into an additional bed suitable for a child. All linens are provided. Large windows fill the space with natural light and views of the surrounding trees, creating a relaxing retreat after a day exploring the mountains. While the camper has a toilet, guests are asked to use the private pit toilet just outside during their stay. Outside, the land is yours to explore. Sip morning coffee among the trees, wander the property, watch for wildlife, or simply relax in the quiet foothills. Deer, foxes, owls, and the occasional moose or black bear pass through, and with minimal light pollution, stargazing here is spectacular. The property features a couple of rustic cabins and a shed clearly visible on the way to the camper. They were built years ago by Geno, who once lived off-grid here and wrote Welcome to the Mountains, Now Behave. The book is available to read in the camper. The cabins remain as a quiet piece of the land’s history, passed down within the family—a nod to the independent mountain spirit that shaped it. Please enjoy them from a distance; they are not part of the guest accommodations. Located in the foothills near Boulder, this retreat is a perfect basecamp for hiking, mountain biking, skiing, rafting, or exploring nearby trails. Catch a show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, ski at local Eldora Mountain or drive into Boulder and Denver for restaurants, breweries, and culture. Experience true off-grid living in the solar-powered camper. During extended cloudy weather or heavy snow, power use will need to be conserved. Bring a headlamp! Come for the adventure, stay for the quiet, and leave with the feeling that you’ve discovered a little piece of mountain magic!
