What a beautiful place! Conveniently located to all the valley has to offer. Views at night and during the day are spectacular! Clean bathroom and camp site. Kids and dogs had wonderful time. Great communication from Allison. Only tip I can give is pay attention to her email about the turn off Ln 6, it’s easy to miss😁

Dune Camp 5
We loved staying here! We spent 2 nights here with 2 dogs at site 5. We wanted to stay outside of the Great Sand Dunes National Park campground so that our dogs could have a little more freedom and we wouldn't have to have them leashed the entire time. It all worked out perfectly. We were 15 minutes from the sand dunes and Zapata Falls. The campsite was super level, had absolutely gorgeous views in every single direction and it was profoundly quiet. We will definitely come here again!

We had the place to ourselves and had a blast. Very convenient location to sand dunes, alligator farm, and Alamosa. We towed a pop up and it was easy to park in site 1, where we stayed. We also would have had plenty of room to park both in site 2, 3, and 5. Not in 4 or 6.

It is nicely isolated. Allison left us some firewood for the raised fire pit. I'm not sure if she does that all the time, but it was a nice touch. Finding the place at night by GPS coordinates was a challenge because Google led us about 1/8 mile North of the camp and it is very dark out there. Luckily Allison answered her phone and talked us to location. Before the moon rise we got to see the Milky Way and a shooting star that lit up the land.

Allison was a wonderful host. She was easily the most responsive host I've ever dealt with on hipcamp, gave us recs for hot springs and stuff to do. We were the only ones camping at any of the spots we had the place to ourselves, the porta potta is a great addition, and the fire pits are prolly the coolest I've ever seen with multi leveled grills to cook. Only negative was that it rained as soon as we headed into the tent to sleep and rained all night, but that has nothing to do with Allison or the property. 5/5, highly recommended if you play on doing Great Sand Dunes stuff

With a stunning view of Sand Dunes National Park and stocked fire pits Dune Camp 3 has stood out among the camp sites in the surrounding area. I frequently camp at the dunes and Dune Camp 3 has become a quick favorite!

This camp was perfect! The site was private and well away from other sites. We were surrounded by mountains on all sides with great views of the sand dunes. The stars were overwhelming. The huge, modern fire pit was a nice surprise and the port-a-potty was clean and well stocked. I appreciated the different colored flags to identify your site and see the camp from the road. The solar lights to help you find your way on the path were very helpful, and not so many that they distracted from your experience. It felt very remote even though it’s not too far from the road. The traffic was minimal at night and the angle meant you didn’t notice their lights.

We loved tent camping on Allison’s land! Appreciated the metal fire pit and canopy with picnic table and distance from sand dune nat. Park. Really enjoyed the seclusion and ability to see a more beautiful view of the stars than I’ve ever seen. No light pollution and truly able to see for miles and miles. Highly recommend! Thanks Allison!

It was a good spot and 20 min from Great Sand Dunes NP. Solar lights made it really easy to find after watching sunset on the dunes.

Great star gazing. Cold at night even during the summer and bring mosquito netting. Close to the sand dunes. Nice little set up.

This is a great camping spot on private land that is really close to the Great Sand Dunes National Park. Easy to find, very well setup, very clean. If you are a star gazer this is the area for that. Would definitely stay here again!

All the entrance were lit with solar lights, so it was easy to find the entrance and site. Better location than the default dunes campsite, as it's centralized for access to Alamosa, the UFO watchtower, the sand dunes, and Zapata falls. The standing firepit, table with benches, shade covers, and tent square made camp activities very convenient. This site is just a hop, skip, and a jump from the very cleanly portapotty.

This campground was awesome! A short drive to sand dunes park. Wonderful views of the mountains, unbelievable sunsets, and and unbeatable night sky. Really quiet and serene. Driving in was super simple and the campgrounds are well marked. Would 10/10 recommend.

My wife, our dog and I really enjoyed our night at the Dune Camp. It is super close to the Great Sand Dune National Park, Zapata Falls, Colorado Gator Reptile Park and the UFO Watchtower. We loved watching the stars while grilling on the well-designed fire pit. Our host was extremely helpful.
