If you want a place to getaway and enjoy the magic of the high desert, Cielito on Sunny Vista is the place. We're located north of Joshua Tree Village on 5 acres. The skies are dark, the stars are bright and all the stress of the city melts away. We're approx. 10 min to downtown JT, 20 min from the west entrance of the National Park and only 10 min from the Integratron, which was built by ufologist George Van Tassel. Pioneertown is just to the (wild) west where you can take a stroll down Mane street, go to the famous Pappy and Harriet's or belly up to the bar at Red Dog. Accommodations include Lucy, a 40' 1956 Paramount PanAm park model trailer with all original interior and some added modern comforts. When you enter, it's like stepping back in time! Lucy sleeps two adults and up to two kids on the sofa. There is also the option to add extra sleeping space (no bathroom) for up to 2 additional guests by booking Dessie, the yellow casita, as an add on to your booking. You will find this in the "Extras" when booking your stay. We are dog friendly and encourage you to bring your fur babies! Property includes all the necessary amenities (toilet, shower, cookware, dishes and utensils) as well as a kettle, pour over and French press for tea & coffee. You'll find a bag of Joshua Tree Coffee Co. beans and loose leaf tea in the pantry. There is also a picnic bench for outdoor dining, a shared BBQ, your own fire pit to enjoy when it's safe to do so and a shared pool for those hot summer nights. As for me, your host, I previously had a weekend property that included 4 raw campsites. I love Joshua Tree so much that I sold that place and chose to buy a cabin so I could live here full-time. Now that I'm settled, I'm excited to host again. This place brings me so much peace and I enjoy sharing it with others. Lucy, is a vintage 1956 Paramount PanAm trailer. She may not look like much from the outside, but on the inside she's filled with nostalgia and mid-century charm right down to the baby pink appliances and aqua countertops. This cozy trailer has one queen sized bed and a sofa that can accommodate two kids for sleeping if you wanna make it a family affair. It has ample closet space and comes fully stocked with all the usual comforts. Dishware, cutlery, cooking utensils, cookware, hot water kettle, french press and pour over for coffee or tea. A perfect peaceful retreat! Winsome is a great host, and her vintage trailer is a gem. The bed was amazingly comfortable, and the quiet surroundings made for a very relaxing trip with my son. Highly recommend!

Lucy - 1956 Vintage Trailer
We loved staying in Winsome’s sweet vintage trailer! The interior is spacious and so comfy and thoughtfully designed - and it’s fully stocked with everything you could need plus a great bed! The location is great - convenient to Joshua Tree’s west entrance and attractions such as Noah Purifoy Museum - while feeling secluded enough for a retreat and incredible stargazing. Winsome was so quick to respond and extremely friendly and gracious - we were so happy with this stay!!

Loved this site! Far enough off the beaten path to feel fully immersed in nature and also close enough to town to do some shopping! Also super conveniently located close to the park so you can easily take a trip by car each day. Super nice to have running water and a toilet as well. 10/10 would recommend staying here!

Great location, far enough away from other buildings, it felt like you were in the desert and stars were beautiful. nice sites with great fire pits. property a bit away host a wedding and noise traveled far, but that's what happens in the desert. thanks for the stay!

The sites are well spaced between neighbors. The sites were clean and the outhouse was in great condition. They even had up lights on the Joshua Trees throughout the property. We went to Pappy and Harriet’s for a concert. We’ll be sure to stay here when in town for another concert at Pappy and Harriet’s.

We had a great experience camping on Winsome’s land. Kid and animal-friendly. Very quiet and spread out, we had plenty of space for our family and animals. Very clean port-a-potty available. Highly recommend!

Loved that the campground felt remote, and that each site was spread out - while still having a communal feel. Winsome was also very quick to help with any questions. Had a great time here, and would definitely come back again!

Brilliant camp site. So lovely and cute and well maintained. Beautiful fire pits and nice logs. Simple checkin. Easy to find. All the little touches are simple and neat but perfect. Enough small lights on the trees to look lovely but not interrupt incredible star views. Fave spot so far.

Cielito was very nice. It's a little ways off the highway but there is hardly any traffic which is nice. The bathroom was super clean and there being only for spots you have plenty of room for your stuff. The only downside is there are spots with soft dirt so be careful to not get stuck if your vehicle is prone to to.

What a beautiful place to get away and breathe! The camp spots numbers are craftily painted on vintage tires so it’s easy to figure out “your spot”. There is an adorable “community “ area but the nice part is that the spots are set up so if you want to chill by yourself, you can. The natural landscape is so pretty! As it’s October, we got a little rain. Wow! The smell of the desert in the rain is something everyone should experience! The mountains around the hideaway are mesmerizing! A truly wonderful spot. I want to stay here again and again. Thanks for the amazing experience Winsome at Cielito!

Cielito Hideaway from the City!

We made a quick stop in Joshua Tree with our pop up trailer. The weather was perfect and the campsite was peaceful! Close enough to town to grab a bite to eat, watch some live music and enjoy a hike in the national park. Joshua Tree is a magical place to enjoy a camp fire while watching the stars…We will be back to this little slice of Heaven!
