Want to feel like you're in the middle of nowhere but be only 1 mile from town? Pitch your tent or park your camper among numerous towering Saguaro Cactus and stunning mountain views. Bring your camera or your horses! Perfect spot for relaxing, stargazing, and a fantastic view of the famous AZ sunsets! My 2.2-acre private horse ranch has mountain views in all directions, a large private campsite, and 8 rescue horses, 2 donkeys, and 5 pigs to meet and greet on the property. Please note we are located in a neighborhood so please respect the neighbors. There are hiking/horseback riding trails right off of my property that take you to the Spur Cross Conservation Area, or you can head 10 minutes north to the trailhead. The Black Mountain Hiking Trail is also awesome, you can see the whole valley from the top! Or, you can even ride your horses to the cowboy bars in town! Note: I have 2 spots available: 1 Campsite; 1 Glamping Trailer. I will try to block off campsites that are not in use after your booking in order to keep the site as private as possible. Please note that landscape varies depending on time of year and rain. There will be no green grass in the summertime. Also, please do not touch or let your pets near any cactus, they bite! Wanting some adventure? Lake Pleasant, Bartlett Lake, Tonto National Forest, Seven Springs, and more are all just a easy drive from the ranch. Need to stock up on supplies? Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot, Tractor Supply and more are just a 10-minute drive. Want to explore a unique cowboy town? Cave Creek is an Old West-style town where it’s just as common to see horseback riders trotting along Main Street as it is to see a motorcycle cruising by. There is a variety of shops, restaurants, and great drinks. It's easy to find something you'll love! Loved that it is situated on a ranch. Very well-kept and had everything you might need. The horses and other animals around were a big plus.

Great site and views! Macy was a super host and her friendly animals were an added plus. Very convenient location to town. Nice and quiet. Our young pup enjoyed interacting with the animals in a safe environment.

Pretty ranch and friendly animals
Macy’s ranch was on a very pretty piece of land. We played with her pigs. They were really friendly and loved belly scratches. Her horses were beautiful. We liked having a quiet spot to park our camper van that was not too far from the Phoenix area.

PROPERTY UNSAFE FOR PETS
12 m fifth wheel · With pets ·
Macy was polite and responsive to our request to book her single site. But unfortunately the positive experience ended there. My family’s single night booking was spent at the Emergency Vet after our dog was severely injured while on-leash by a particularly dangerous species of cactus known as a “Jumping Cactus” (google for information) just a few steps off of her driveway. Dozens of barbed spines impaled our dog, requiring surgical removal under anesthesia. The spines were so sharp that I too was embedded when I carried my dog to the car to get emergency assistance. We spent three hours at an emergency vet that night, which cost $991.00. This outcome was entirely foreseeable and preventable, especially to a local resident. But Macy provided no warning to me, a resident of CT, about the single extremely dangerous cactus plant right off of her driveway. The property had no designated area to walk a dog (which is why we walked alongside the driveway), very poor lighting, and no barrier or border to provide warning or keep pets/humans safe. When I reached out to Macy, she apologized for not warning us, but refused to accept responsibility for our injuries because the cactus was a “native species.” (Macy refunded $65.00, the cost of our stay, but refused to pay any portion of the vet bill). When booking a site on HipCamp, one expects more than a hose hookup, parking spot, and extension cord for an RV. We expected a safe spot for the night. But we were let down.

Serenity under the Stars
Adorable little trailer in a quiet setting to just sit under the stars. Close enough to town to enjoy the nightlife but not have to drive far. Macy our host was very kind and informative...even had a chance to pet the pigs! Great time, thank you Macy!!
