We (Tim and Victoria) moved out to our place in the desert in February 2008 along with our many plants. We have continued to grow our little farm of 6 acres to what it is today, which includes an orchard with about 50 fruit and nut trees and enclosed garden/greenhouse structures with veggies and herbs that are protected from wildlife and the elements. We have a seasonally heated pool with 3/4 wraparound deck and amazing views of the Tucson Mountains. We have a basketball court, a ping pong table, cornhole court as well for recreation. Our Beach site has a domed 'chill zone' with heaters in the winter, comfortable chairs for relaxation and a great spot to let your dog hang out unleashed. Our Prickly Pear site has a pull through for campers and RVs. Our RV site has 30 amp electric and black water dump station. All of our sites are fenced in, and have many, many cool amenities such as fire pits, sinks with fresh, pure water, table with 4 chairs, gas grills and lounge chairs/porch swing. Our property in a 160-acre neighborhood surrounded by open desert state lands. In our sustainable community/neighborhood are like minded, peaceful people who are as connected to and respectful of the land as we are. We are looking forward to hosting Hipcampers and sharing our lovely slice of heaven.

The Beach site has three palm trees that form corners of the shaded camp site, with a raised pad for tents, sink with excellent water, table and four chairs with an umbrella, a chaise lounge chair, a gas grill and fire pit. We have recently added an enclosed domed lounge area adjacent to the Beach site with low chairs and end tables, as well as a tall top/fire pit table and an outdoor heater to chill and hang out. We call it the Playa Tortuga Ultra Lounge. It is an awesome spot. It is also just a hop, skip and a jump from our new Kokopelli Cornhole Court.

Vehicle site · Sleeps 6 · Vehicles under 35 ft
RV spot for up to 35 ft. trailers/campers/5th wheels. Private, quiet space w/views of the Sonoran Desert and Tucson Mountains. Full hook ups: 110 outlet and 30 amp RV receptacle hookup, septic, water, WiFi, fire pit, grill, patio table and chairs. Single RV space with beautiful views of the Sonoran Desert and Tucson Mountains. Quiet, serene and surrounded by nature. This part of Southern AZ is considered Dark Skies area (no light pollution) and as a result, night sky/stargazing is epic. On clear nights you can see the Milky Way, the constellations, shooting stars etc. Share this slice of heaven with a great variety of local wildlife including doves, quail, cactus wrens, jackrabbits, cottontail rabbits, ground squirrels, etc. You can hear coyotes howling in the distance, and if you are really lucky you might even spot a Gila Monster, Javelina, Red Tail Hawks or Great Horned Owl. We have many more amenities than most Hipcamps in this area and competitive with other RV parks in the area. Laundry, on site potable water (exceptional filtered, structured, deep well water - it's all we drink and best we've ever had!!!).  All utilities (electric, septic, WiFi and water are included, no extra fees like most RV parks.  We also welcome stays of 1 week or more (up to 4 weeks) and offer an applicable and competitive long term discount for reservations of that length.    Other onsite amenities include meditation/yoga space, swimming pool, ping pong table and hoop court. Area attractions include the world-renowned Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum (only 16 miles away, 23 minute drive from our place: Saguaro National Park West (15 miles away, 22 minute drive), plus Madera Canyon, Sabino Canyon, Mount Lemon, Colossal Cave, Kitt Peak Observatory, Kartchner Caverns, Biosphere 2, and many bird watching hot spots including Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge. This is an Ideal location to base camp from and enjoy all that the desert Southwest has to offer. We love being out in the open desert, quiet and secluded, but with easy access to downtown Tucson on the other side of the Tucson Mountains (about a 30 minute drive). The best of both worlds!
