We really liked it because we had plenty of room and it was wide open. Great view of the mountains in the prairies. And the wine tasting was super fun and good we bought a couple bottles.

High Lonesome Vineyard Experience
We used this spot as a basecamp for attending the Sidepony Express Music Festival in Bisbee. Tom was wonderful and greeted us upon arrival. There are plenty of spots to setup camp on the property. It's far enough away from the road and main house so it was very quiet. We heard plenty of wildlife at night. There are two porta potties near the vineyard for guests to use, but we ended up not using them because we are self-contained. Tom did offer a wine tasting, however, we weren't able to fit it in on this trip. Next time though! We highly recommend!

Our camping experience was great. The hosts were super friendly and helpful. We arrived and did the wine tasting which was really nice. We had some trouble with getting the tent set up and Tom went over and above to make sure our tent was set up and secure for the night as it can be windy early in the evening. The camping experience was as described
The bathroom is a portable potty, but it was extremely clean
The property is beautiful and I am glad we chose to stay there.

We totally loved this experience! Hosts are wonderful and inviting! Loved the vineyard and the wine! We would definitely return here! Awesome scenery, plenty of room to camp and all the privacy you want!

Loved staying at Thomas's vineyard. We didn't get there until late but he was there to welcome us and show us where to set up. And got us some wine that was absolutely divine since we missed the time for the wine tasting. The morning after, we watched the beautiful sunrise. Would definitely go back again.

What a wonderful experience ...the hosts went out of the way to make my 1st time camping alone with my pup a great time! They made sure I was in a great spot, had wine and great cheese and full access of their beautiful winery. I can't wait to take my mom! Thank you again what a special time.

I really enjoyed my stay here. This area of AZ is beautiful. The wine tasting was a lot of fun. I felt safe the entire time. The restrooms were clean. I would stay again.

The land is spacious, the wine delicious. The hosts are down to earth, welcoming, and kind. The whole experience was a light in the wilderness for someone boondocking across the west solo. The gorgeous guard dogs are no bother and make you feel quite safe. A sleep under the stars with incredible views listening to the coyotes yip & waking to frost, is a refreshing thing. Thank you both.

What a great experience at High Lonesome Vineyards! The wines were awesome and the location was just as described. I enjoyed stargazing since there's very little light pollution .I really appreciated Tom's detailed directions and timely communication. I'll definitely be back in the spring!

Such a great spot! Centrally located between Bisbee, Tombstone, Chiricahua, and Fort Bowie. A wide open parking spot, great hosts and really good wine!

The location was beautiful and tucked away from the road so I didn’t hear any noise from vehicles. Tom greeted me when I arrived and offered the facilities available, very friendly!

Let me sing the praises of High Lonesome Vineyard!
Fabulous selection of wines. Both reds and whites. All grapes grown on site. We started with a wine tasting even before setting up camp. The casual atmosphere (and wine!) help us relax after a day on the road.
Beautiful scenery. You are surrounded by mountain ranges of varying topography that enhance the stunning sunrises and sunsets.
Cleanest port-a-potties I’ve ever seen.
Easy camp set up. No matter if you are tent, car or even the largest RV set up, the grounds can easily accommodate you.
Tom and Edie are the most gracious hosts and just darn good human beings. Their extensive knowledge of the area added to our adventure. And when I had a suspension malfunction on my rig,,Tom helped with tools and muscle to get me back on the road.
We can’t thank Tom and Edie enough for all they did to make our trip memorable. WE WILL BE BACK!

Tom and his wife Edie were the perfect hosts. I have been travelling around America and this is 100% my favourite place thus far. I messaged Tom on the day of to see if he had any room, he replied within minutes and when we arrived they were ready with everything. We had an amazing wine tasting watching the sunset. I would come back here for the wine alone. These guys are in the top 10 vineyards in the state! We all shared drinks and stories then we went to bed under the stars in the peace and tranquility of the Arizona countryside. Tom and Edie are wonderful and knowledgeable hosts and WHEN I come back to this area I won’t stay anywhere else.

Very enjoyable stay! Friendly and low keyed hosts, offering just the right amount of attention. Lovely shaded patio to enjoy the wine tasting—and they also offer a cheese board. We enjoyed the wines and bought a bottle (the souvenir glass is really charming). I liked that I could bring my little dog along. Plenty of space for camping. And oh my! The night stars were amazing!

The combination of a camping spot surrounded by mountains and a winery makes for a great Hipcamp experience! The wine is delicious, as well as their smoked cheeses. The large open space for camping was very peaceful. Thomas and his wife are amazing hosts. Thank you!

Wine tasting and camping. It was an amazing accomplishment to complete our tent site preparation *after* tasting their wine! 4 bottles were purchased for enjoying at home. They are both military veterans - and so are we - so there was some interesting discussions at the wine tasting. The lot is clean and ready for a major party of some kind. We settled into our longe chairs on one morning and watched some large birds (guessing = hawks) circling overhead. Best “fly by” / air show we have seen in a while. Recommended and ready for a repeat visit.

This vineyard is a great place to be and enjoy the beauty of Arizona. Tom and Edie are gracious hosts and learning about their vineyard and wine making process was amazing! And to top it off the wines are delicious! If you are near Tombstone or Bisbee, we highly recommend High Lonesome Vineyard. It’s at the top of our list!

We enjoyed a great stay stay at High Lonesome Vineyards in McNeal, AZ. Our Host Edie, greeted us upon arrival and directed us to our site. She also provided suggestions on area attractions and restaurants.
The best part of the stay was to learn the story of their dream as Edie and her husband Tom, bought the bare land and turned it into a working vineyard. It was a dream that was made with the will to succeed and some really hard work. We attended a wine tasting and purchased a couple of bottles of their finished product which outstanding!
This was our first HipCamp booking and we were thankful to have such great hosts. We look forward to future Hipcamp bookings with hopes of positive outcomes based on our stay at the Vineyard Hipcamp.

Tom and Edie were great hosts. We enjoyed the wine tasting and their beautiful property. The outdoor tasting room was very relaxing. Great location between Tombstone and Bisbee. The dogs never bothered us.

The vineyard, tasting area with a fire, and camping area were better than I anticipated. T&E, the hosts, were available and friendly. The scenery in the area is breathtaking... it could not have been better. Better than advertised. The dogs were there, but never annoying or overly noisy. There will be a next time for us here.

The host and site were awesome! The land is clean and there's plenty of room. The hosts run a vineyard and have wine tasting on site. Although we don't drink, we picked up a bottle of their award-winning wine as a Christmas gift. Bonus: the site is about 35 minutes from Tombstone, an awesome day trip to check out.

One item that may not appeal to everyone is that there are a few dogs that live on the property. They are fenced but do like to bark at anyone they see.

The stars are incredible from this open field. Lots of space to setup camp, easy access. If you're inclined, there is wine tasting available on a beautiful patio. Tom and Edie were easy to communicate with. There are dogs, if you're walking near the house, you'll disturb them, they're just doing their job. Once camp settled down, we never heard a peep out of them. Would definitely recommend!
