Creature comforts
Enjoy the comforts of home at some sites—including flush toilets, showers, and a kitchen.
Excellent location for exploring Northern Arizona. This is a camping area just 5 miles from restaurants, bars, quaint little tourist stores, gas stations and even a hardware store. Located just west of Seligman with road access directly to the property and excellent access to Interstate 40 and Route 66. You can rest and gather your thoughts while enjoying the great outdoors. You can drive right onto the property and set up your RV or your tents. There are 6 sites available to book and a community picnic area that has barbecue grill, table, chairs, Putt-Putt, cornhole, horseshoes, and frisbee golf equipment for you to use. Just please put everything back the way you found it. All guests are welcome to use the main picnic area, during their stay. Even if you book a deck further away you still have 100% access to the main deck area and all of its activities. There are no services at this site it is a dry camping area for as many days as you need. Whatever you pack in you must pack out. No garbage waste or pollution whatsoever. The meadow is full of prairie dogs so be careful driving around so you don't drive into a prairie dog hole. All campers must have their own waste facility such as their own camping toilet and water source. Absolutely No dumping any waste on the property. There's no electricity on the property so bringing your own generator is a good idea, if you need electricity. I made a list of places I've been to that would make for easy day trips on a family vacation. Some of the most beautiful places you will ever see in northern Arizona are listed below. Search these locations on your Google Maps for the directions. * 26 miles to Grand Canyon Caverns * 49 miles Williams * 53 miles to Bearizona Wildlife Park * 54 miles to Keepers of the Wild Nature Park * 56 miles to Diamond Creek Beach, Peach Springs * 58 miles to Grand Canyon Deer farm * 78 miles to Kingman * 80 miles to Hualapai Peak * 82 miles to Flagstaff * 83 miles to Prescott * 91 miles to Havasupai Trailhead, Havasu Falls, Supai, Beaver Falls * 103 miles to Jerome State Historic Park * 107 miles to Humphreys Peak * 108 miles to Grand Canyon Village, South rim * 127 miles to Grand Canyon West Skywalk * 137 miles to Sedona * 175 miles to Phoenix **Because Seligman sits right where the Great Basin high-desert grasslands meet the pinyon-juniper woodlands, it supports a wide variety of wildlife—ranging from open-plains grazers to mountain predators. "Mammals" *Pronghorn (Antelope): Highly visible in the open grasslands around Aubrey Valley and along Historic Route 66. "Elk & Mule Deer: Commonly seen moving through the scrubland, foothills, and pinyon-juniper groves surrounding town. *Predators: Coyotes are very common, alongside bobcats, mountain lions, and occasional badgers that hunt the prairie dog towns. *Small Mammals: Beyond Gunnison's prairie dogs, the area has large populations of desert cottontails, black-tailed jackrabbits, and various ground squirrels. "Birds & Raptors" Because of the massive prairie dog colonies in Aubrey Valley, the area is designated as an Important Bird Area—especially for birds of prey: *Golden Eagles & Ferruginous Hawks: Use the nearby Aubrey Cliffs for nesting and hunt across the plains. *Burrowing Owls: Frequently seen using abandoned prairie dog burrows. *Peregrine Falcons & Red-tailed Hawks: Common hunters along the cliffs and high plateau. "Reptiles" *Snakes: Arizona black rattlesnakes, gopher snakes (bullsnakes), and coachwhips. *Lizards: Greater short-horned lizards, side-blotched lizards, and collared lizards. **So be careful out there, take a lot of pictures, and enjoy the wonderful wildlife around you. This is a magical healing area.
