I had a great time there on my first solo camping trip. It’s a beautiful sandbar on the river.
However, there was only that one trail that led to the sandbar, other campers had already set up on the beach right where the trail ends, so I had to trudge through their campsite, tents, tables, food, bbq grill, etc., to get my camp set up.
I didn’t like being so far from my car either, being a solo camper, and it wasn’t cleared enough to set up the tent anywhere but in the sand.
I like to set up camp near my car so there’s not so much to carry a long distance.
As it turns out, the other campers were from my town, we knew each other, and they were super kind and considerate.
It’s a pretty spot, I will be back!
