I recently camped on the sandbar , just me and my pup. It was ,as usual a fantastic trip! Clean as always and absolutely beautiful weather. We've visited multiple times and will be back soon!! Thank you loaning us your piece of serenity!!!!

You won’t find this campsite. Especially if you come in the dark. The CIA won’t find it. The host tells you to text them, but you won’t get any signal so good luck

Loved this spot! Very secluded and isolated. Didn’t see or hear another person in three days. Great directions and communication from the host. My 2 wheel drive Tacoma got me within about 75ft of the sandbar. Any amount of recent rain would require 4wd for sure. Feels very safe while very secluded. Awesome hearing the coyotes howl/sing at night! Very limited cell phone service. Starlink worked perfectly!

Great and secluded spot. Photos of the signs at the entrance drive are out of date; just find the power pole in the photo (by number) and turn in at the drive at that location. Opens up into a small glade which is really nice, and continue on to find the trail to the beach. In a Ford F150 we didn’t think we’d make it through to very narrow trees on the way to the beach so we stopped short and camped in the woods. Really good spot though and had a great time lounging at the river.

Trip was awesome. River was very high when we went. Still enjoyed and had a great time. Land is spotless no trash from previous guests. Ran into some people who live nearby that were extremely nice and even offered to help us out if we get stuck. The drive onto the sand is a little steep but with an4x4 you should be fine. If you can’t get right on the sand there is a place you can stay not far that almost any car can get to. 10/10 would recommend

Great backwoods camping/overnight spot woth accesd to beautiful sandbar on the Escatawpa River. We visited with B+ camper, 8ft wide, 10 ft tall, 24 ft long and this is probably the size limit to prevent overhead and side limbs from scratching your camper on the access path. Very quiet site, and host provided good directions to access the site in the dark.

We cannot say enough about how beautiful Vikrum’s land was. It was so peaceful and quiet and the river view and beaches were amazing. We had a little difficulty finding the initial turn off from the dirt road but the GPS directions lead us right to it. We just didn’t listen to them 🙄. The trail to the campsite was totally passable for a Tacoma and a grand Highlander. We loved it and so did our pups! We will totally be back. Thank you for a wonderful little break from reality!

My fiance and I had a fantastic time on the river. It was secluded just like we wanted, quiet, the water was perfect!the drive down to the river was hard to navigate at some areas but we made it! Beautiful sandbar, didn't see a single person for 3 days. Perfect place if your looking to unplug for a few days!!

We’ve camped at this spot several times now, and every visit just reinforces why we keep coming back. The property is absolutely beautiful — serene, quiet, and nestled right on the banks of the Escatawpa River. Whether you’re relaxing by the water or waking up to the sounds of nature, it’s the kind of place that instantly makes you feel grounded and at peace.
The primitive camping setup is exactly what we love — no frills, just raw nature. It’s the perfect environment to unplug, reconnect, and even brush up on some survival skills. My two boys especially enjoy the experience; they’re always excited to explore the woods, learn new outdoor skills, and just be outside without the distractions of screens.
If you’re looking for a peaceful escape where you can truly disconnect and appreciate the natural world, this spot is a must. We’re already looking forward to our next trip.

This is my reply to the owner after he told me no one else is unhappy. Maybe I excepted more……
The trail is NOT cut. You can walk the trail in. If you drove in…… the trail from the road IS bottomed out plus the maintenance is lacking because your vehicle would be scratched up.
This is not rude. This is informative.
Your directions to the property are good. You give GPS DIRECTIONS without cellphone service in the area. “ Scott street is NOT labeled. You do NOT offer a physical address or landmarks. This pictures you offered are out dated.
This is information to make your place better. Plus RVs can’t not safely enter with the steep grade from the roadway. They can NOT turn around of the dirt road. Your trail is NOT wide enough or have the clearance for an RV.
I have pictures and offered them to the owner to help with better directions. He refused.

Our rig is about 13’5”, so we couldn’t get through the road to the beach due to an abundance of over growth & low branches. Didn’t explore the site after initial entry attempt so can’t speak on the rest of it.

Great place to spend with the family. Very quiet and peaceful. I love that you can pitch a tent just about anywhere from the beach to the woods whatever you prefer and still be right on the river. Will definitely be back and highly recommend to all my outdoor people.

Great campsite! We were able to tent camp in the shade of the woods and enjoy the sandbar on the river each day. Safe and clean. Isolated away from others which is what we prefer. Our dog loved it, too!

Loved the sand and the sound of the river. This spot is very unique and beautiful. Word of warning for those who have *full size pickup trucks* …. It takes some very skilled driving to get down to the water! Very sharp turn near the end of the road just before you get to the beach and not much room for error. And if it rains and the road gets muddy u better have 4WD I barely made it out on the morning I left the ground was fairly soggy. Just saying! Other than that there’s no spot like this one!

We arrived earlier than the scheduled check in and host allowed us to head to the site anyways which was great considering we had our young, tired kids with us. The off road wheeling (nothing crazy, but not just a dirt road either) to the site was fun and as others mentioned, you want a good 4wd vehicle to tackle it. The site itself is incredible; quiet, remote and beautiful. Do note there is virtually no cell service but we expected as much

Had a great weekend with a good friend and our two boys. Lots of area for kids to explore and play. The beach is always clean and also very secluded which is preferred fo me and my group. Only thing I could say would be maybe some better signage hard to find at night. But over all 9.5/10

We had a blast at the campsite! Such a beautiful place with great views. Plenty of land to camp on the beach or towards the woods. Definitely a place to go to to unwind and have family time. We'll be back for sure

Beautiful spot. You need a good 4wd to get down to the beach, and definitely not a big one or a trailer. It’s a night fit, some good off camber stuff. Super peaceful and private.

River was perfect. And peaceful. There was another family that came later on in the day, but they were super nice, enough room to space out. Only issue is there is absolutely no marking identifying the driveway. Wish there was a sign or something.
The drive way to the river is really grown, we brought a Machete and cleared a few limbs from scratching over the vehicles.
Will definitely be back, 2nd time and we love it here.

When we found this little riverside camp, we were excited to give it a shot.
We are always looking for true primitive camp sites with space, privacy, and especially dog friendly.
This space exceeded our expectations. The water was clear, sand was snow white and everything was very clean.
The trail to the sandbar can be tricky in a vehicle, definitely need a 4x4 if you are wanting to park right next to the river.
Vikrum was quick to answer with any questions we had and was pleasant to deal with.
We are already checking our schedules to plan another trip!
