I loved camping at WanderCamp outside Yellowstone. I was nervous because it was thunder storming all night but the tents kept us dry and warm and felt super cozy. The location was perfect to spend the day in the park. I would definitely stay there again!

You'll be in a group of 60 other tents. You can hear many others around you. You can hear the highway. The showers were not available when I tried to take one.

At check in we were greeted by literal children to check us in- maybe 14-15. They told us the tent number but couldn’t tell us which one it was. We get to the tent and it’s a king bed when I booked two twins, we go back and these children tell us to go to another tent that they THINK is available? Finally, they find us a tent bc apparently planning for arrivals that booked two months in advance is really hard. Whoever put these clueless kids in charge should be ashamed of themselves. Then we have to go back and ask for the heater and lantern that were advertised bc they aren’t there, the lantern was worthless and didn’t light anything, it was a cheap one from the dollar tree which the children also had to run all over to find. There are no showers as advertised, no lit paths as advertised, no leather back chairs as advertised, HORRIBLE false advertising across the board. The bathrooms are disgusting, rarely have toilet paper, and won’t lock. Then to top off the whole thing, we needed more propane for the heater we already paid $20 extra a night for and they said we had to pay another $10 bc the propane was supposed to last two nights; the new propane lasted 4 hours on low… so not sure how that’s supposed to keep anyone warm for 2 nights. After looking closer this place has had 12 negative reviews in the last 3 months ALONE and have blown off multiple other people after they were unhappy. Lucky for them this review is limited characters bc I could keep going.

We really loved our stay here! The big open sky view was really spectacular. The hosts were super friendly, it was easy to find, and they even kept up on cleaning the restrooms / showers! I would definitely stay here again. There were more tents than I had expected but they were nicely spaced apart, everyone was nice, quiet and respectful.

Clean tents - surprise visits in the evening and morning from some cattle- clean bathrooms leaving with smiles on our faces and warm memories in our hearts. Hope to be back some day soon with mor e family

Pros: Teresa the camp host is amazing, bright sunshine energy and so helpful. Bathrooms were cleaned every hour on the hour while camphosts were onsite. Beautiful location. Close to yellowstone. Tents/bedding everything clean. The showers were the old school pulley system, interesting and made you appreciate home showers for sure; but also - it was nice to have showers in general. Hooks in the bathroom for your stuff while you showered. It was nice to have something different. The toilets and sink all helpful to have too.
Cons: for the price - not worth it all the way for us; awesome close to the park - but boy, the amount of people and the supposed ‘curfew’ wasn’t enforced at all. People were wild - granted it was a weekend, and it’s a group camp and we got ‘lucky’ and got a tent close to check in - but ugh; loud and minimal perks for sure with how much we spent. Also all the paperwork to get the site - wow - seemed a little bit like overkill.
Improvements - lower prices; have sites for people who have their own camping set up; the tents didn’t offer anything special other than maybe the bed? I guess? It was comfy after being on the road for a month; very soft, but meh - most likely won’t recommend or come again. Maybe during the week days it’s a little more peaceful - but again, for the price - not feeling like it was balanced. Also, the mirrors in the bathroom - lower them! haha! so high - I’m 5’2” and I know I’m short - but whoa - could barely see the top of my head.

We loved Wandercamp at Yellowstone! We found ourselves in the most comfortable bed with a down comforter. It got down to freezing and we did not need any sort of heater! We loved it so much, we booked a night at another Wandercamp property later in the week! The self check in and check out procedure was a cinch. We recommend this glamp as a great stop in your travels, it’s OK to pamper yourselves while you are roughing it in other spots.

This was a beautiful and wonderful stay, we got super lucky and got a yurt with a view of the mountain and prairie. They offered a small dinner onsite but the host gave us other options outside the camp and the pizza place in town was AMAZING. We had breakfast at the Island Park Cafe and that was very yummy as well.

This place was absolutely gorgeous. One of my favorite parts of our trip. The tents are very sturdy and set up well and surrounded by mountains. We got to see the sunrise and sunset. The beds were so comfortable- they were memory foam with very warm and plush comforters. We got the $10 breakfast which was French toast. It was delicious and a very good portion with fruit and a glaze overtop. I will look for Wander at the National parks we plan to visit in the future.

It stayed for my birthday as we were traveling and it was a great stay. The location was beautiful and we woke up to cows roaming through. It was glorious, in my opinion. Would definitely stay again.
