Located just a few minutes from nearby Lake Havasu City, Desert's Edge is set on a one-acre parcel within the Mohave County community of Crystal Beach. The property has been graded and developed specifically with the RV campsites in mind. There is about 1/2 acre dedicated to the camping area, making Desert's Edge an excellent location for a private group gathering, or just one big campsite all to yourself. Learn more about this land: You're a couple of minutes from the Castle Rock Bay kayak launch and the beautiful backwaters of the Colorado River. You're just a few steps from the Havasu National Wildlife Refuge where you can enjoy hiking and sightseeing amongst the wild burros that call this place home. Guests will have immediate access to the Arizona Peace Trail and surrounding sand dunes for unlimited off-road fun. Relax in the country setting with horses as your closest neighbors. Wake to the sounds of roosters crowing along with a multitude of desert-dwelling birds. The night skies are perfect for stargazing as you sit beside the campfire. Desert's edge has a primary site reserved for a single RV, plus an adjacent second site that can be reserved when groups of family or friends with two RV's wish to camp side by side and share in the fun!Camspite details: The campsite at Desert's Edge is about a half-acre in size. There are a lot of barking dogs in homes surrounding the camp area. Also, the pictures of the lake are nowhere near the camp area.

Dan has the lot set up perfectly and had helpful suggestions for fun things to see and do. The lot was easy to access and was level and clean. Great experience!

Host-very friendly/attentive. Beautiful view. Crystals near hookups💚 Important! Driveway is steep/dangerous angle esp. when exiting. I “flew down”. All I could do was “keep her steady” & anxiously laugh while sayin “yeehaw” like the Texan I am. Seriously tho- dangerous! At least for some1 in 30ft class c motohome. A few times while outside & in motorhome I heard a few vehicles (including, maybe 2motorcycles, semi or 2 & truck) Not super loud. ‘Twas a lot better thn Walmart or especially gas station’s parking lot. 3-4 helicopters tht flew almost over head were a bit loud. Maybe close to halo-flight path? I love animals sounds, I just avoid mechanical &traffic noises, bt for those who dn’t agree- several borking dogs (2 to right, 1 to left, & a few nearby. Owner’s quieted thm a bit after they started. Bork’s wren’t continuous. 2 to right had deep borks, nt piercing. 1 to left had a med. bork & so did ones in near distance. You’re in owner’s personal backyard. Didn’t feel much privacy. We’re at least 4-5 of owner’s dog’s poo throughout site. Site is completely covered in jagged gravel. I’m used to walking barefoot. I walk in the woods on twigs, roots, occasional eggcorns, etc. bt cldn’t walk a few steps without vocally wincing &turning no for shoes. If you’re a “shoebie”, you should be fine. It was uncomfortable for my boops/dogs though. Some people dn’t mind smell of horse poo. Eh. The fact that they were in a sm dirt pin was settling. I wonder how often they’re there…

Great experience staying at a peaceful desert Hipcamp RV site that offers the perfect balance: calm desert nights, big open skies, and still close enough to town for groceries, food, and lake fun. The site was level (hallelujah), hookups were simple, and the overall vibe was relaxed and welcoming — exactly what road-weary RVers hope for. Whether you’re full-timing, weekend wandering, or just passing through Arizona, this Hipcamp stay turned out to be a pleasant surprise — and one I’d happily book again.

Our stay at Dan’s place in Lake Havasu City was nothing short of amazing. Truly! This was our first Hipcamp experience, and wow — the bar has been set so high. The location was peaceful and scenic, felt very private, and it was located just a short walk to Castle Rock Bay where our Florida dogs had a blast splashed and played in the water together. Dan was a b*tchin' host too! He was kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the area’s land and wildlife. We even went on a rock-hunting adventure through the refuge together at sunrise — such a truly unique and special experience! The sunsets were absolutely breathtaking, and the entire experience felt safe, beautiful, and welcoming. We only stayed two nights, but honestly, we could have stayed a month. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a genuine, nature-filled Arizona stay! 🌵✨

Camping at Dan's place was as expected. It's a pretty simple lot where you can pull in, set up, and stay a night or however long will little to no work. It was a level spot and had electric hookups. There was a fire pit and picnic table too. I'd stay there again if I was passing through like we were on this trip.

Wow! What a beautiful area to explore! And Dan, such a perfect host. He’ll respect your privacy if that’s all you want, but if you ask or inquiry I’m certain he’ll be happy to take you kayaking/paddle boarding in the nearby Lake Havasu, which is very cool! We trekked through sea caves and saw a baby owl in the big cliffs bordering the river, and had a couple beers and good conversation with Dan while bass were jumping all around us.. Also if you are into rock collecting, which, prior to our stay I was not.. this is place is rock heaven.. Seriously, Dan will tell you all about it! Phenomenal stay, will likely return when life permits. Cheers, Dan!

We arrived to a wonderful view of the perimeter mountains, desert scape and a friendly, helpful host. Dan gave us information about what trails to walk, with good knowledge of the area. We had the site to ourselves with a feeling of peace and security. The location is close to shopping, the lake and the city, with a feeling of rural life. The first night we witnessed what we thought to be a UFO, later finding out it was a rocket launch. Soo AWSOME. Thanks Dan for a perfect place to stay the week.

It was exactly what we needed. Our stay was perfect. Plenty of room for our motorhome towing our bronco! Lots of places to go off roading near by. Very quiet and peaceful. I would definitely recommend! Our host Dan was great.

This was our first Hipcamp sight and we loved it! Dan was helpful before we arrived and while we were there. The site felt private and was quiet except for the neighbors chickens. But we enjoyed them. Will definitely stay again!

We felt so lucky and privileged to stay at Dan’s Hipcamp. It’s a magical place. We could see the sun rise and set over the desert. We saw burros grazing a hillside. Dan gave us directions how to find desert lilies at the wildlife refuge up the road from his place, and we got to see not only lilies but other gorgeous flowers and beautiful views of the Colorado River just before it enters the reservoir. We also visited the nearby Castle Rock Beach and dreamed of kayaking there (preferably without our four skittish dogs who come along with us everywhere). Dan’s property is truly a rare find: close to everything, spacious, private, easy to access, and just perfect for us. We are already looking forward to coming again and wished we could have stayed longer. Thank you Dan very much for your hospitality!

We recently had the most incredible stay at a HipCamp RV spot (full hookup) in Lake Havasu! From the moment we arrived, the host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, offering tips on local hikes and places to paddleboard. But the real highlight? His adorable little dog Chase, who quickly became best friends with our pup Morti. Watching them play together was an absolute joy! The RV spot itself was fantastic, with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. And the location couldn't have been better – just a stone's throw away from the beautiful Lake Havasu, where we spent our days soaking up the sun and enjoying water activities. But what truly set this experience apart was the genuine warmth and hospitality of our host, Dan. His friendliness and attention to detail made our trip unforgettable. Plus, exploring the nearby trails and stumbling upon fields of wildflowers added an extra layer of magic to our stay. If you're looking for an unforgettable camping experience in Lake Havasu with an incredible host and furry friends to play with, look no further. This spot deserves every bit of its 5-star rating – we can't wait to come back!

Quiet neighborhood. Great night of sleep. Water, 30a, and sewer available. Great location between wildlife reserve and lake havasu. Host greeted us, asked us if we needed any information/help. Would stay again when in the area.
