Don’t worry about rv parks, dump stations, and utilities. It’s all taken care of for you, nestled on a custom dug terrace overlooking my private canyon. Sunrises and sunsets are a dream! This RV is parked for you, set, and ready to enjoy. City water is on site via a 250 gallon fresh water tank (I fill it for each visitor). I also take care of the sewage and grey tanks for every visitor. This is an off grid property, with all the amenities you need. There is no cell service, but I have you covered. Starlink satellite is on site, and gives you super fast, high speed connection. Enjoy 20 acres of wildflowers, quiet nights, and stunning canyon views. Firewood is provided for your camp fire, in either of the two fire pits just steps from the rv. A nearby shed also offers a place for luggage, trash storage, etc and gives you more room in the rv. The RV is solar-powered with a backup diesel generator. and fully equipped for comfort. It has a queen size bed, two bunk beds, and a convertible dining table that makes into another full sized bed. Sleep 5 in comfort. Adventure nearby: fish the Poudre River (10 minutes) or catch live music at Mishawaka Amphitheater (20 minutes). Peace. Quiet. Spring colors. Adventure. Kings Canton is tucked away, and access isn’t too bad. I have spent 8 years rebuilding the road for access by most vehicles. Four wheel drive is recommended just in case, but not necessary. The private road has loose gravel in spots. Most SUVs can access. I have had my Ford Focus and my Toyota Prius up there (although some people say I’m crazy). I don’t recommend kings canyon for anyone with fear of heights! The roads are safe, but there are steep drops and switchbacks. Explore my property and witness hummingbird migrations. They fly here from Mexico. If you’re unsure about access, or anything else, please message me prior to booking and I’ll give you my honest assessment. No one knows Kings Canyon better than I do!

Really beautiful spot! The cabin is the perfect size and well built. Huge windows overlook the view. You can’t see any neighbors which was perfect for us. Propane firepit was fantastic and Chas was a wonderful host! Very comfortable place - we hope to go back!

The Bird’s Nest Yurt was lovely. Not too far from town, clean, well supplied and relaxing. The host was accessible and helpful. Gave us a recommendation for an outdoor sightseeing stop on our way there. If you are traveling to Laramie, WY I highly recommend checking it out.

We (2 adults and my dog) stayed in South Crow cabin. This is one of the best places I've ever stayed at. It had everything we needed, was dog friendly, quiet and private unlike a hotel. The only negative was that we didn't have time to stay longer. I highly recommend staying here if you have the opportunity.

(We saw several elk and deer come through while we relaxed). The hosts went out of their way to greet us and show us how everything worked. We would gladly stay here again.

3 nights at Buford Canyon

This place is simply the best. The view and property are unique, beautiful and so fun to explore. The cabin, bathroom and shower are thoughtfully created to allow comfort while also still enjoying the fun parts of camping. The cabin stayed very warm and cozy. They put so much work into the details to make sure you have all you need. There were even long leashes for dogs attached to the deck. The shower is a tankless water heater and gets very warm. We were able to shower comfortably in September outside and they made sure we always had water. Chas and his wife nicely waited up for us as we got in later than expected and took the time to make sure we were settled in. We really didn’t want to leave. There is good reception for your phones. It is close to the highway.

2 nights at Buford Canyon

Cabin was cozy and well designed. Highway can be seen and heard from behind the cabin, but the accessible acres of beautiful state land to roam nearby more than makes up for that. Chas was a friendly and informative host and we’d happily stay again. There was plenty of room for me, my partner and our large dog comfortably in the cabin. Waking up to the sunrise over the rocks was so peaceful.

Weekend Trip to Buford Canyon

Great little cabin! We stayed there with 2 large dogs and had to do a bit of wrangling space wise but it was beautiful, quaint and has great views. Bring sturdy shoes, there's some sharp shale around the camp table and grill. They even have a long dog lead installed on the deck which we used a lot. The fire ring on the back deck made the evenings fun. A really great experience and the camp hosts couldn't be nicer or more helpful. I had a couple of issues that I was completely wrong about, and they tolerated me with kindness ;)

We had an amazing getaway to the Blue Moon Cabin - the owners were so friendly and helpful, and they truly thought of it all as far as amenities go in the cabin! The site itself was so beautiful and there was so much to explore. I would love to come back one day!

Weekend Trip to Buford Canyon

The Chas’ Blue Moon off grid cabin was awesome! We had never stayed in an off grid cabin before, and it was our first time using “Hipcamp” to book a stay. Both were good experiences and went really smooth. The cabin is in a really convenient location off the interstate, and has very scenic views, with quick access to the state park for more hiking and sight seeing. The cabin was really comfortable and had more than we needed to relax. Chad also met us at the cabin and showed us how everything worked and brought me some things that I forgot to pack to help me cook dinner.
