Our cabin is located on Deep Creek Lake in Western Maryland where most of land is either State parks or forests because of its natural beauty and recreational value.
The area is an all season resort where you can enjoy the lake and beach as well as various outdoor activities such as hiking, boating, fishing, sail boarding, hiking, and horseback riding most of the year.
In winter with up to 100 inches of snow, you can ski, snow board, and tube at the near by Wisp Ski Resort or cross country ski at several State parks managed for it during winter.

Conveniently located near the town of Parsons for quick runs to the gas station, McDonald’s, or Dollar General, yet still close to scenic nature trails and Blackwater Falls State Park. I felt very welcomed, and my space was respected throughout my stay. Plus, you can even bring your fur babies! I’ll definitely be back.

We are fortunate enough to start our camping adventures on Sunday nights. There have been only a couple of other guests here since we got here on Sunday. It is raining today, but very enjoyable. We got to cook breakfast over the campfire and we’ll just improvise this evening. This place is real getting back to nature. It’s good to just enjoy the quiet of nature. This is our second trip to this campground we rate it pretty high.

Nice stop in the woods along river. We stayed in an RV Spot that had electric and fresh mountain water if you needed it. The Grounds are spread out well. Its more for tents and boondoockers. Would suggest to come with full fresh water tanks and empty gray and black before coming. The road to the campground is a bit narrow, curvy, but doable. Be prepared to move over at times to let a cars pass opposite direction. We had a 25ft Class C. All in all it was quiet at night. The river was low but I suspect some good fishing during stock time.

Friendly owners and workers. If you need anything ask Vince or Jim! Always around to help. Spacious spot for our 17 foot RV and truck. RV1. So much to do within the area for your day trips. Some two hours away but worth the trip. Some half hour away and great too! Plan a week to see it all! Cute buses you can rent and a tipi (tee pee). Which is awesome!!

Wonderful experience on Craig's land! The whole time was as close to perfect as possible - perfect weather, cool evenings/mornings that caused a beautiful fog resting on the water, that dissipated as you finished your morning coffee. Nice sized lot that can accommodate larger groups but just as perfect for a solo camper like me!
Loved having the trains so close (they can be quite loud but I absolutely loved it) and the clear water right there for fishing, kayaking. My favorite so far, I can't wait to go back!
PS (this is not a complaint, just an FYI) - T-mobile service is not really existent at the site, but Verizon is good. Just FYI.

Great spot near the Cheat River. We stayed at one of the primitive sites with our dog. In the mornings, we'd walk directly to the river for a cold bath and some dog splashing then go on long walks at the end of the day up and down the very rural country road along the Cheat (experienced no traffic on a 2 hour walk other than a four-wheeler). The port-o-potty was the cleanest I've ever been in (and I've been in a lot...), and there was even some air freshener provided. The campsites are close to one another, so it's not the most private, but there were only a few people there during our stay. If you're looking for a place for social camping, I bet Brooklyn Heights would be a fun place to go in the summer when it's full.
Though we didn't avail ourselves of it, there was a nice tent-covered cafe near the firewood station; there were even tables and chairs provided within so you could sit and have a chat before you meet the day. Very nice. We'll definitely be going back and might think about staying in one of the dwellings if we stay for longer than two nights. Those looked very cozy and convenient and private.
Great camping spot. And Vincent is clearly very conscious of keeping the campsite in good order (thanks, V). Lovely place with lots of small towns nearby and great hiking. Our dog loved it, as did we.

This place is perfect! Craig is so easy to get ahold of with any questions and quick to respond. We loved our stay at his amazing campsite and plan to come back and stay again for sure! The site is right next to the river, has plenty of space for multiple tents and dogs. The fire pit comes ready with a grate on it. He has wood available at the site. We tried our hand at fishing, but didnt catch anything. Either way, it was a very amazing river campsite. There is a train that passes by occasionally on the other side of the river, but that was no bother to us. We cant wait to go back!

The place was just what we were looking for. On the site there was a lot of flat space to put our tent or walk, the fire pit had a variety of grills you could use for easy cooking, and there was a perfect view of the water which was relaxing. It was a great place to bring our dogs. Picnic tables were also definitely handy. The site was down far enough from road to be quiet and private, and the train tracks across the river didn't bother us at all. The porta-john was very clean and stocked with toilet paper. And it was really nice to be able to buy firewood there and pay with Venmo (when our cell reception worked). The owner was great with communication. Highly recommend staying there, we will be back.

Down a narrow WV road which hugs the riverbanks of the Dry Fork River, we found one of the most quiet campgrounds we have visited in a while. The sites were well maintained and easy to access with my small micro camper. We had nightly bonfires at the riverbank fire pits--listening to the gentle flow of the river and stargazing between the trees.

Beautiful place to spend the long weekend! Thank you for hosting Vincent and to Joe for the Autumn olive berries! We had another beautiful weekend there and it happened to be perfect weather! We even got to do a float across from our campsite and get some sun and water fun. Refreshing!

Fantastic camping for both primitive tent camping and RVs with power and non-potable water hook-ups. There are also both charcoal and gas grills available and a community fire pit.
The campsites have fire rings and there is more than enough wood to buy at a ridiculously low price. The privy’s were the nicest I’ve seen anywhere, cleaned weekly, and complete with air fresheners. More permanent facilities are coming this winter.
The campsites are located along the river and are somewhat private, roomy, flat and let you relax and enjoy your trip.
Vincent couldn’t have been a better host. He was friendly, attentive, available, everything you could ask for in a host and more. I enjoyed speaking with him and learning about Brooklyn Heights. His directions and messaging couldn’t have been more clear.
There’s the Brooklyn Heights bridge about a half mile down the road which you can cross and takes you right onto the Allegheny trail, which goes for miles.
Parsons, WV is a short drive should you need any last minute items, the town appeared to have pretty much what you would need.
Already planning another trip to see Vincent and Brooklyn Heights!
