Great little private spot! Stayed a couple of nights, had everything one would need. There is a composting toilet and portable water we didn’t use since we were in our RV. We were able to pick where we wanted to hike with lots of options out there.

Thanks so much for our stay at Camp Hardy. The directions were spot on and so easy to follow. The campsite was remote and so quiet. There was hiking near by and bunnies munching plants down the road.

Camped here in Lyle 2 nights while visiting Hood River, Oregon during the WAAAN museum fly-in. Nice clean spot in the woods with oak, pine and fir. Nighttime crickets for a good nights sleep. Clean composting outhouse. (Not smelly!). Secure and undisturbed in the gated area.
Good views of the river canyons down to the Columbia.

Another amazing visit to Buck Meadows! My family always loves staying here. It’s a beautiful property with great trails along the river. The host, Brynn, is always great about checking in to see if we need anything. I highly recommend camping here!

What a great property! We booked dukes and huckleberry for a family/friends trip and it was so fun exploring, dipping in the river (carefully), putzing around on the pond, and riding bikes around the field area to and from the sites. We’ll definitely be back!

Pulled in with my Fifth wheel (30ft) 3 inch of block on one side to level out.
Very quiet and clean. Wrong time of the year for campfires so we did not utilize the pit but was ready for that time of year. Several walks with our dog on the local roads without traffic. Relax and enjoy.

Camp Hardy is beautiful and my family looks forward to returning. The site itself is well maintained and cared for, with wonderful facilities for such a remote area. This is an incredibly relaxing area and the host's communication made everything a breeze. Thank you!

Relaxing and quiet area to spend some time. My kids loved the pond and the paddle boat. Easy to relax and enjoy the day here. The river is beautiful but was high and fast (in June). We would like to go back later in the season to see it when the river is lower. Be prepared for mosquitoes during the evening and early mornings.

Brynn met us at the gate and was most welcoming. Our 15 month old pup practiced her newly acquired swimming skills in the pond and tried to sit still when in the princess paddle boat:). We had so much privacy here by the river, it was difficult to leave but as Brynn had pointed us in the direction of a great bakery in Cle Elum… we felt obliged to venture out for cinnamon bread and pastries! We will definitely be back here to escape the I-90 grind on our long road trips. Next time we will add another day or two here to savor the journey.

Beautiful, peaceful property. Definitely can accommodate large RVs with no issue. Campsites have a nice firepit with benches and a couple chairs, and a nice sturdy picnic table. Brynn was available when needed, and very responsive. Otherwise we were just able to chill on our own. My family lives nearby and came to hang out and my preteen nephews enjoyed the pedal boat on the pond. Tons of space to walk around, and play outdoor games. It is Thorp, so expect breezy days (there is a reason why they have windmills on the ridge above the river). Also the camp is next to the Yakima River, a pond, and some small creeks, so be prepared for mosquitos. They were very happy for fresh skin when we first arrived and were getting set up. Brynn was kind to drop by a mini bug zapper and some spray. We will definitely stay here again! Thanks, Brynn and Bob!

Fantastic spot.
-Very private, we didn’t see a soul.
- Perfect for those that camp with dogs. We came prepared with a gate and leashes, but in this spot the dogs didn’t even need them which was so nice.
- Even prettier than in the photos.
- We are first time travel trailer campers and this spot was easy to pull into and pretty easy to back out of. Also came with a dump hook up so that was convenient.
- My only mild “complaint” is there were no instructions on how to use the WiFi as advertised. We faired fine without it, it’s camping after all but we do like to be able to check on our home security cameras while gone.
We will be back!

Found this gem for a Father’s Day weekend trip with my kids and it exceeded every expectation. The wildlife viewing was incredible, the scenery was beautiful, and we had complete privacy to just enjoy nature together. Brynn’s hospitality was wonderful and really made the experience special. This is a special place to connect with nature, and we’re coming back as soon as we can. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful escape.

We stayed 3 nights at Buck Meadows/Dukes Roost in June. Great campsite and very welcoming! Brynn and Bob have a beautiful property along the Yakima River. Very fun campsite setups with seating and fire pits. Lots of walking paths to discover. We were there for a granddaughter’s graduation, so unfortunately we didn’t have much downtime to spend relaxing and exploring at the site. Would definitely recommend to other campers.
