Weekend Trip to Cowiche Canyon Orchard Cabin-Heated

I really enjoyed the space. This was a halfway point to get to Great Prosser Balloon Festival by 6a Saturday morning. I picked up a Walmart order then straight to the Cathaus. (We didn’t see the cat). I pulled together a little dinner. Maria had some dishes and utensils but I’d brought my own. I went and sat on the covered area overlooking the apple orchard with my dog. The local winery next door had an evening concert going, so even had a little entertainment. The workers cabin was cute. Nothing too fancy or too shabby. The full size bed was cozy. I’m not a huge fan of foam form pillows but at 4a I discovered one of the bunk beds had a fluffy pillow. Too bad I didn’t check around 9p when I turned in. 🙂 My border collie did well. There was ample lighting once dark to see the path to the outhouse. Plenty of books to browse or read if any guest wants to fill downtime. I enjoyed the location and the basket of homemade goodies to purchase. I guess if I had to provide any feedback, it might be to add some fairy lights maybe around the “kitchen” area. Everyone’s opinion will be different. I tend to like just a little light at night, typically in another room. The cabin was pitch dark when lights were out. This spot comes highly recommended for RV and tent campers, and especially stands out as a fun place to camp with young children.

We spent two nights in the treehouse. The view was awesome! It was quiet, secluded and relaxing. The outside shower was super fun to use and inside the treehouse had everything you would need. Weather was perfect and we enjoyed the town of Goldendale.

We stayed at Sheep Site #1 at Nest Well on Naches and had a wonderful experience. Leann was very welcoming and made us feel right at home. The campsite was well-maintained, clean, and easy to settle into. The on-site Wi-Fi was a huge bonus since there’s no cell service in the area, which helped us stay connected when needed. The location is peaceful and dog-friendly, with the river just steps away—perfect for cooling off on a hot summer day. While the highway is nearby, it didn’t take away from the overall tranquility of the site. All in all, this is a great spot to relax, enjoy nature, and still have the comforts you need. We’d definitely stay again!
