Our cozy trailer is located on our large city property in old town Lake Stevens within a 5 min walk to the lake which boast 5 public parks with paddle boards for rent. We are a 5 minute walk to 3 restaurants and small grocery and a 1 min bike ride to the 30 mile paved centennial trail. We also have frisbee golf park and playground across the street. We are located on the back side of Old town Lake stevens and a 10 minute drive to the Gateway town of the Olympic national forest with Hundreds of hiking trails and a beautiful scenic 3 hour drive that is call Mt. Loop Hwy and goes through the off grid town of Silverton, has access to the gate of the old town of Monte Cristo and drives all the way through on gravel from there to the town of Darington and loops back to us. She is small, clean and very affordable. We have fun loving dogs that love to visit and your dogs are welcome too. We have a hot tub, sauna, cold plunge and out door wood burning fire pit for use. Our POLICIES - Must be at least 21 years old to book - No smoking in trailer -1 designated parking space in front of trailer

Cute little wood cabin on a large, quiet lot, with covered porch looking out towards the water near the end of Cole's Point. Gravity fed fresh water at the sink on the porch. Inside, includes couch, queen bed, twin bed, fridge with chilled water, freezer, microwave. Nicely heated in winter and stays cool in summer. Sitting in comfy camp chairs on the covered porch can be magical during a spring rain. Outhouse with nightlight and composting toilet. Firepit with kindling and firewood in winter. (Summer fires are not allowed.) Short walk to the beach to the north. Short walk south to the edge of the Oro Bay as well. Kayaks can be rented on island. (Not related to the host.) Multiple hikes / walks within Jacob's Point, Andy's Marine Park, and 7 other parks on island. One wonderful little grocery store on island for fresh or incidental items along with one cafe, and one restaurant. The historic Johnson Farm and Museum can be a great place to sample island life from 100+ years ago. Pay extra for use of the twin electric bikes to ride the many quiet, scenic roads around the island. These roads can take you to the hikes, the store, cafe, or sample the sights like the 1928 ferry "Ocean City" slowly sinking into the mud in Oro Bay. There is often deer, hawks, eagles, coyotes, bunnies, and sometimes humpback or orca whales, all within sight of the cabin. It's a great place to escape the hectic pace of the city and enjoy the solitude interrupted only by the sound of the birds, and perhaps the distant trains about 3 miles away. Writer looking for a spot to focus on your next book? Reader wanting to finish a good book? Both are a perfect fit. Dogs are welcome but cannot run free due to the native animals that call the area home. The ferry is a 1 hour walk so cars are recommended. The Steilacoom ferry to Anderson Island leaves from the wonderful historic town of Steilacoom which is also well worth visiting. 1.5 acre plot located west of Port Townsend near Cape George and Discovery Trail. This forest meadow is a peaceful, private spot to rest and relax when you are not having adventures on the Olympic Peninsula. Perfect for RVs, Camper Trailers, Vans, and Tents! The entire property is rented as a single camp site, so there is maximum privacy and solitude compared to a multi-site venue like Ft Worden State Park. Green Acre Camp is located in a semi-residential, semi-rural area of unincorporated Port Townsend, only 10-15 min drive to main restaurants, grocery stores, and attractions of downtown Port Townsend. RV power pedestal with 30a, 50a, and standard 20a/120v plugs. Pack-in, Pack-out; there is no toilet, sink, or shower. Large vehicles/trailers/5th wheels are welcome! Enter the property on private dirt road connected to Hastings Ave and you may park anywhere in the upper field immediately on left when you enter the driveway. There is a locked shed that houses the well pump, and you can use the water spigot and hose. Water is potable lab tested. Property is shaped like a triangle with Hastings Ave. There is tree cover along Hastings and shared driveway at bottom edge of the triangle. As you continue down the driveway a few hundred yards, you approach neighbor's fence and property line. Main camp site is the “upper field” where there is room for parking and power/water connections. This is conveniently level with the main road and flat. There is “lower field” that is a trimmed grass field right corner next to the driveway, Finally the “back field” is large, grass field and a fire ring across the northern half of the property. The back field has an unused septic system underground, so we leave the grass and vegetation longer here to attract wildlife and preserve the infrastructure for potential future use. No vehicles allowed in back field. In the middle of the property is a grove of pine and cedar trees with thick, native salal bushes and rhododendrons crisscrossed with paths created by humans and the local deer population. Driveway is shared by neighboring property so wave and smile if our neighbors walk or drive out to the main road, and please be respectful of their property line and follow the local culture of 'live and let live'.

If you like to camp in the winter, like to take your dog, and want a roof with a heater over your head, this is perfect! It was a perfect island adventure. Fred's special touches included easy access pottable water and dishwashing sink on the porch of the cabin, a clean/neat outhouse, a bug flap, heater, microwave, fridge, and COOKIES! We walked down to the beach, took a couple trips to beautiful parks, and enjoyed the views of the water from the cabin. We brought a tent/shelter and put it up for an extra "room" to enjoy the views and grilled cheese/tomato soup, hot cider, and apple crisp. We heard coyotes howling in the distance, owls hooting, saw deer, coyotes, and river otters. We truly had an island adventure we will always cherish and remember. Thank you Fred for providing us this opportunity!!

The excellent: - Host was super nice and very easy to get a hold of - Pad sites are level and easy to find - Trail to sites is well-maintained and well-marked - Storage boxes at each campsite - Forest was absolutely gorgeous Do note: - Not as remote as I was expecting. You can see a house from the sites and hear a good bit of road noise. (However, it was pretty peaceful at night) - Pad sites are pretty small- my 4 person was a snug fit. Anything bigger would definitely not fit, and if your tent needs guylines staked into the ground, this is not the site for you (though you could probably get away with tying off to trees) - Parking is a bit tight. I don't think anything bigger than a standard SUV (think dodge Durango, Ford Edge, etc) would fit without sticking out into the road some. I was driving a Pontiac G6 and it was a comfortable size for that. All in all? I would book again quite happily and very much enjoyed camping here.

I loved staying at Fred’s cabin! Truly had everything you need including an incredibly friendly and thoughtful host. It was quite stormy the weekend we stayed but it was perfectly cozy in the cabin with the little heater :) Fred even let us know when he heard about a nearby orca pod, we didn’t get to see them as they went on up to Tacoma, but he let us borrow his binoculars and told us all about the island and its animal sightings! 10/10 stay and weekend- hope to be back soon!

We had a great experience staying at this cabin. It was cute, cozy, and easy to find. The beds were comfortable. We really appreciated having a fridge and sink, it made things a lot more convenient. The outhouse was clean and well-maintained. Fred was very friendly and welcoming, which added to the positive experience. Overall, a lovely place for a getaway. We’d definitely recommend!

Nice place to stretch your legs and unwind! The dogs appreciated the extra wiggle room. Only 8-10 mins into the heart of Port Townsend. As noted in the reviews before, the RV spit is right off the road and there is noise but we didn’t find it to be an issue.

This was a first time visit. The ferry was charming and cabin was very clean and well appointed. There was a lot of consideration into comfort and ease of use. We enjoyed dinner at the lakeshore restaurant. Went for walks in the woods on the island and slept very peacefully.

We enjoyed Cole's Cabin and equally appreciated Fred, the host, who was extremely personable, a wonderful conversationalist (thank you for the fun tidbits about the book/movie "The Art of Dancing In The Rain"), and went out of his way to make our stay positive, relaxing, and memorable...not to mention the delicious home-made brownies! We will be coming back to Anderson Island and Cole's Cabin in the future!

Loved this glamping spot! A cabin with electricity, microwave and mini fridge made the perfect getaway. I tried it out one weekend with friends and liked it so much that I brought my kids the next weekend! Fred is such a fabulous host and so friendly along with everyone else I crossed paths with nearby. We brought our hammocks on stands and it was perfect for relaxing and viewing the Salish Sea and watching wildlife nearby and watching the night sky. My kids and I enjoyed swimming at Lowell Park on Lake Josephine too!

Cole’s Cabin was exactly what we needed for an enjoyable anniversary getaway to nature without needing to rough it. The cabin contained useful amenities (mini-fridge, microwave), there was cell service in the area, the view was lovely, and the short hike to the beach access made it an adventure. We were uncertain about the directions to the beach, but Fred called us right away to guide us in the right direction! He was a very helpful host! 😊 We brought our dogs and were pleasantly surprised the island was pretty accommodating to dogs. Andy’s WIldlife Park and Freddie’s Dog Park are good for hiking with dogs and letting them off-leash. (Many of the other parks prohibit dogs.) The AI Cafe and the Riviera Lakeshore Restaurant allow dogs on their patios. We would definitely book the cabin for an overnighter again. The bed was comfy, there were good pillows, and the bedding kept us plenty warm. It felt very cozy as it rained outside, the rain stopping just in time for us to be able to enjoy the final concert of the summer at the Johnson farm (so much fun!). Anderson Island is beautiful, the community is friendly, and it feels remote, but it’s so close and easy to get to from the Tacoma area. ❤️

Such a sweet set up. Almost like camping but better since there's a mini fridge, fresh cookies, and a comfy bed. The island is very friendly and had a lot of activities to check out (farmers market, free blues concert, hiking, and beach access). Fred, the host, is really fun to talk to and very kind. Beautiful spot amongst the trees to camp. Only downside is you are right off of a well travelled road so you do hear vehicles going by pretty consistently. Lots of room to play fetch with the dog - he loved it! If you are in a trailer (like us) could only park at the site closest to the road because the lower area was blocked off with logs. Water and power worked flawlessly. Even with the road noise, it’s sooo much better than a campground cause you have the whole space to yourself!!! Even got to see an owl!! Would definitely stay here again.

So peaceful! The beach nearby we had all to ourselves. It was full of pretty rocks and driftwood and tiny crabs!!! The calm water would have been perfect to kayak around. A doe visited us in the yard over dinner. Very convenient to have a little microwave and fridge. The bed was super comfortable! Perfect size for 2.

Langley and Freeland are each 20 minutes away. Note that all sites are TENT-ONLY sites. There is no car, roof-top tent or RV camping availability.

Incredible location! This sweet cabin is nestled at the base of Mt. Jupiter, directly between Dosewallips beach and the Olympic national Park. There's lots of gorgeous, mossy maples, shaggy cedars, and elk herds roaming free. The Cabin is easily accessible from the road, and has parking available. There's a secluded fire pit behind the cabin with a seasonal stream running by. Its a relaxing place to hang out for a few days, and/or excellent basecamp to explore the amazing forests, mountains, and beaches nearby. Also, there's lots of great foraging to be done (nettles, mushrooms, and oysters; oh my!) GPS LOCATION: When driving to the cabin, your GPS will tell you that 'your destination is on the left'. This is a lie. The cabin will be on the right. There is a metal gate that is closed with a chain but not locked. CABIN LAYOUT AND SLEEPING AMENITIES: The Cabin is just a little guy; only 16'x20'. There is a kitchen, living room, and dining room area, and the bathroom is a separate room - we call it our 'studio cabin'. We have a fold out couch for which we provide linens, pillows, and a comforter. There is also an inflatable mattress that is a tight squeeze, but can allow for four people to sleep (with a little furniture rearranging). There is a deck that is large enough for a two person tent that would also make a four person camp-out comfortable. All linens and towels are stored in the trunk and the bathroom cabinet. There is a 4' round dining room table with four chairs and a small table on the porch with two more chairs. All the cushions for the chairs are in a cabinet under the table inside. ACCESSIBILITY: Unfortunately, the cabin is not wheelchair accessible. There are 5 stairs up to the deck and the bathroom door is only 27" wide. SURROUNDING AREA: There are small trails leading away from the cabin; do not walk down them! They lead to neighboring properties and I cannot guarantee that there won't be neighbors who would be very surprised by a stranger showing up on their land! There are lots of public trails only a few minutes drive in either direction from the property :) STOLEN LAND: This property is on stolen, indigenous land. If you are Coast Salish or Makah, please get in touch with me for a discounted stay.
