4 nights at Roots Rise Family Farm

I stayed in the greenhouse. Everything was great from the views. Well maintain land. The animals, the farm pond. The people. No complaints from me 😃

We loved camping here! Amy and Aaron and their family were nothing but extremely welcoming and accomodating. Our 6 year old got to play with their kids, running around with the goats, chickens and ducks, and use the play structures around the house. As parents we loved that the kids were safely on the property and there was no real risk of them leaving the property/not close to a dangerous road or something. There is lots to see and do in the surrounding area, but just hanging out at our campsite was lovely too! It was ideal to borrow a little radioflyer cart to bring some things to our campsite (water jugs for example) and borrow an extra camping chair. Camping with kids here is wonderful, and I can't recommend it enough. Also, there was a pleasant breeze almost every night which really helped with mosquitos. Thank you Amy and Aaron - we will be back!

We absolutely loved our stay at Willow Barn. The pond was perfect for paddle boarding with our grandchildren & they even caught a couple tiny fish! The property is beautiful & the perfect place to relax. It was fun watching the pigs roam around in the big yard. The hosts were so friendly, our grandaughters had a blast playing with their daughters. We loved our dogs were welcomed. The group fire pit towards the front of the property is awesome to sit around at night. We will absolutely be back (next weekend)! We’re excited to find a place a hour away that feels like the perfect place to spend our weekends!

We had a wonderful time staying at Terry’s farm. Getting to help herd and milk the sheep was a great experience! Our kids loved bottle feeding several lambs and I enjoyed my early morning conversation with Terry about life as a small-scale farmer. We hope to get back there soon!

Our stay at Tin Willows was perfect and just what we hoped it would be. Our son loved feeding the sheep and fish. Thank you, Terry, for a great stay!

Terri provided an enjoyable experience at her sheep ranch. We got to milk the sheep and learn all the ins and outs of managing this interesting operation.

We had 7 people party including kids and dog. Excellent place to stay with tent or RV. So quiet and relaxing

Weekend Trip to The Cathaus at Yakima Beach

Kent and Iza have a lovely spot. Quiet with a view of Mt St Helens. We enjoyed our brieft overnight stay.

What an amazing little orchard getaway! Maria's property is stunning and she has put a lot of thought into making sure everything is comfortable for guests!

1 night at Willow Barn Ranch

Host was helpful and let us change spots to get farther away from the pond as we have an adventurous and rambunctious 2 year old. We stayed in the back pasture and had a great time. Our kids loved watching the piggies run around. I will say that Spot #7 “Willow shade” says it’s good for an RV on Hipcamp however it seems better suited for a tent. Not a problem for us as I said the host let us park our pop ip trailer in a different area.

We loved it here. The kids enjoyed petting the horses and the baby pigs. We were beside the pond and enjoyed watching the ducks. Very friendly host and will definitely stay again when passing through the area

2 nights at The Cathaus at Yakima Beach

I had a really relaxing stay. It’s peaceful and the views are amazing. The cabin had fresh flowers and wild strawberries when I arrived…!! It has lots of other great details like books to read, nice bedding, a good ac unit, and a covered outdoor lounge that faces the sunrise. I would definitely stay again.

1 night at JenEric Alpaca Ranch

Great location, up and out of the way in a quiet area. Store and gas within 3 miles and 25 minutes from The Dalles. We will definitely be back for future events in The Dalles.

Such a lovely place to stop. The alpacas and pigs are so cute and friendly! Great hosts! Definitely looking forward to coming through this area and staying again. (For those that might be sensitive to noise, it is located between two busy streets. For us, that was no big deal as it was more like white noise.)

We didn’t quite know what to expect when we visited Terrys farm, but we immediately fell in love with the place and with Terry. We got to milk sheep, eat some incredible homemade ice cream, pet the cute farm dogs and sleep under the stars. This was truly a 10/10 experience and we can’t wait to come back with our friends!

We had a lovely time. Plenty of room for the kids to spread out and play. Lots of room for tents and adults to hang. Really appreciate this place!

Nice cozy cabin with electricity and basic supply, the kids love the animals very much!

We stayed here for our anniversary and loved it! Such a beautiful property. We'd definitely stay here again!

Very friendly and welcoming hosts with a beautiful chunk of land to share! There were porta potties on the farm that were super clean when we arrived. Beautiful view of Mt Adams & a wonderful location tucked up in the mountains, but close enough to get to so many nature hikes & swimming holes. Thanks for having us!
