Bigfoot's Yurt & Cabin Hideaway

2 sites · Lodging3 acres · Hoodsport, WA
Welcome to a unique getaway in the Olympic National Park area, Bigfoot's Hideaway! Our small cabin can accommodate up to 7 guests and backs up to hundreds of miles of DNR land. We are 1 mile to the Lower Lake Cushman boat launch (Lake Kokanee) and 2 miles from Lake Cushman Boat Launch (with fee). Lake Kokanee provides excellent fishing, summer swimming (life vest recommended), paddle boarding, kayaking and boating (motors under 6hp allowed only). These lakes are fresh, clean and have direct mountain water! The cabin consists uniquely of a master bedroom (Queen bed) downstairs, upstairs loft features (2) twin beds, (1) Queen bed and a chair that folds out to a twin bed. Also located downstairs is a full bathroom and a new washer/dryer for your convenience. The Yurt has your kitchen, living room and dining room equipped with a woodstove, one in-wall heater, small dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster/air fry oven, small two burner cooktop, hot water and FIBER INTERNET! The TV is a smart TV and has Netflix, Prime Video, etc. for you to sign into your account. SLING is a free option for viewing cable and movie channels located on the TV. Outside, enjoy our modest deck equipped with a BBQ and propane, a quaint 5-person hot tub is a must, especially after a long hike! The property is situated between a little convenient store, and an espresso stand. Soon there will be a Mexican restaurant next door too!! Hood Canal is right down the hill approximately one mile away. Orca lovers can expect whales in spring and later in fall. We also have a local dive shop! Ever been scuba diving? Our local professionals can take you on an experience that you'll never forget! Ask about nighttime dives as well! Things to keep in mind; this is a pet friendly place, only allowed up to two dogs, no cats. No dogs over 15 pounds. Also, the woodstove does require a lot of wood during the fall/winter months. We provide wood but you'll need to provide your own depending on how much you use. Conveniently wood is located next store at the Little Lake Cushman Store along with propane and they serve excellent sandwiches. Spring/Summer/Fall: Kayaking, Hiking, Walking, Boating, Fishing, Swimming (seasonal), Bicycling, Shrimping/Crab/Shellfish (seasonally - with appropriate pass, online), Mushroom foraging, Wine Tasting, Whale Watching, Beer Distillery, Restaurants, Hoodsport Seasonal Events (Polar Plunge, Paddle Hood Canal, Hood stock), Walking distance to Little Lake Cushman Store AND Espresso Stand! PNW Lakeside Yurt

1 site · Lodging1 acre · Shelton, WA
My grandpa bought this property in 1946. It has the best SW exposure. We often occupy the little cabin next door but are sharing the yurt with others. The yurt has a big deck and a bigger dock. We have no well or septic because the property has a lot of waterfront but not enough land overall. A porta potty is on site and shared the cabin and we provide drinking water. The yurt has a queen bed and a leatherette futon. The lake is stocked with trout and is usually over 70° by June and averages about 76° most of the summer. We have a floating island to swim to. Boating activity is kind of crazy on weekends. Be cautious of the waves. The driveway is a bit awkward and you need to back out. No big motorhomes! There is parking for 2 cars.
