The cabin is located on a rural road that is a five minute drive to downtown Onancock, which offers a coffee shop, several restaurants, bakery, shops, Saturday farmers’ market, and the harbor. Chincoteague and the famous ponies are 35 minutes north, and bougie Cape Charles is 40 minutes south. When you open the door to this 300’ gem, you will step back in time to a simpler way of life. This century-old building was moved to the site and has been brought back to life, preserving the original character, while adding the creature comforts we love of today. Soaring 12 foot ceilings provide a spacious air, and the original wood interior offer charm and patina that simply cannot be manufactured. In the past, it was a barber shop and then a poker joint. This place is a design nerd’s dream, a clever combination of old, new, and vintage pieces, handmade pottery and art, with close attention paid to each chosen piece. Lace curtains and blackout blinds cover all your light preferences for peaceful sleeping. The queen bed is a high end hybrid mattress with traditional coil base and memory foam top. Mona’s little cabin was cute, cozy, and had all the essentials including a comfortable bed, couch, table and chairs, kitchen, dishes, utensils, bathroom, towels, and even a little porch with two chairs. There was also an air conditioner and fans. And WiFi. The cabin was located across from a farm. There were woods around. And the town of Onancock was a short drive away.

Absolutely beautiful place. So quiet and peaceful. The birds singing in the morning and throughout the day is just an added bonus. Very clean and maintained. Such wonderful aesthetics . Everything you could possibly need for a weekend of relaxation and peace. It was hard to leave. Farmers market in the little town was a plus. Such friendly and welcoming people. Mona is an exceptional host and you can tell she takes pride in her property. Very lovely space. I recommend ten out ten. As a solo female traveler I felt very safe and comfortable. The bed is super comfy and the cabin set up is perfect Shower is amazing, Everything was perfect.

Serenity and a calm, caring host who made sure we were comfortable. 2 real beds (a loft and a twin), a convertible couch, a fully reclining leather EZ chair, and extra bedding made sleeping comfy for 4. Cabin had heat and a/c. Awesome hot shower, outdoor sink, picnic table, tree swing, outdoor chairs, fire pit, fridge, grill, groceries in driving distance. Recommend for a refreshing retreat! ✌️
