Learn more about this land: One-of-a-kind really only begins to describe 1-acre Sharp's Island! For starters, this is the only legal camping option in the city of Richmond. You read that correctly. I live on the land where there is 3 acers and some woods to burn fire also a nice big swimming pool and goats and chickens to pet and feed. A small, shed cottage turned into a room with a full-sized bed and mini fridge with a microwave, toaster, and coffee machine, a table with chairs to eat at. Ac for the summer and a heater for the cooler days. I am still adding on and bringing new things to the cottage. I will have complimentary drinks and snacks on your arrival. Portions of the historic Three Chopt Trail, a Native American trail, run through a large portion of the county. The trail was marked by three hatchet chops in trees to show the way. If you are not comfortable with a 150ft walk to use the bathroom facilities, this may not be the ideal booking for you. *Electricity Has 2 USB outlets and a standard wall outlet. Try to charge your electronics during the day due to the solar panels, and do not use the wall outlet at night. Wifi is available. *Heating/Cooling A/C unit for summer. Diesel heater and wood stove for winter. *Outdoors Large charcoal grill (charcoal not provided). There is plenty of firewood to collect in the woods. My group had a wonderful time camping at the Hummingbird site this weekend! The space was fantastic with plenty of tent space and areas to sit around the fire. We ended up using the grill and picnic table for dinner before roasting smores over the fire. I would 100% recommend.

Really enjoyed our weekend here! The campsite was spacious, private, and quiet, so you feel secluded even though you’re only about a 10-min drive to amenities, including a good grocery option. The tiny cabin is extremely clean/well cared for. We didn’t end up using it much as we set up tents to sleep in, but it was great for storing food and having a back-up bed option. Would definitely stay here again!

The property is a working farm, so please respect the animals and those who are working and be sure to close the gate behind you if you opened it.  There is no kitchen in the tiny home, but some minimal and random cookware is provided, along with a small camping stove, if you would like to bring your own camping stoves.  Running water is not available in the cabin. The Host will provide five gallons of water for you and can always refill up at the farm, but feel free to bring additional water with you as well.  There is no WiFi, but there is good cell service for all carriers.
