Located at the end of a dirt road, quiet with views of Killington/Pico and Salt Ash Mountain. Its a 15 min drive from Okemo/Ludlow, 10min drive from the Appalachian trail (7.9 mile walk) and there are 3 other Ski resorts within an hour of us as well as numerous lakes and hiking trails. Just 2 miles up the road is Star Lake and the quaint town of Belmont. Our 7 acres sits on the Northside of Belmont hill. Half of it is open with several gardens to meander through. There is a pergola filled with kiwis and wisteria and a hammock for lounging. A shady grape arbor filled with white grapes that we have made wine with. On property we have a tree fort, greenhouse, chickens and pigs. We do provide fresh eggs for sale. There is a medium pond in the back for swimming, a large fire pit for fires and but the Hip Shack comes with its own fire pit/grill combo. Wood bundle's are also available. There is a rudimentary outdoor toilet and shower. The shower can be filled with hot water using the faucet by the garage. All water from hoses, pump hoses and faucets is the same drinkable well water, collected from the many underground springs that also feed into the pond.

Single/twin bunk beds are offered (bring pillows/sleeping bags), and a King size platform bed may be available (though not promised or guaranteed). Within the town of Mount Holly the cabin sits on 3 acres of land. It is on the backside of Okemo Mountain, with the Green Mountain National Forest near by. The nearest access to the Appalachian Trail is within 20 minutes of drive. The cabin is sitting on a piece of land that has no connection to any communication system; there is no cell service nor internet/television service. We provide a walkie-talkie that reaches the owners home, to be used in case of any emergency. The cabin is powered by a solar panel that provides electricity for the water pump and the cabin’s interior lights. The kitchenette has a two-burner gas cooktop. The main heating source is a wood stove, and the fire wood is on site for the guests to be used. The nearest country store is nearby, in historical Village of Belmont with picturesque Star Lake. (As of June 2023 the Belmont General Store is closed due to renovations being conducted under the new ownership) The Historical Village of Belmont has its own museum, library and a post office. Please note; The entrance to the land is private and gated and there is no entry without the owner’s presence.
