Waterfront RV Port on Bolivar Peninsula. Water, sewer, and electric (20-30-50 amp panel) Covered RV spot with a screen porch. Property is fenced and dogs are welcome. The screened has a dining table with chairs, and also stores some patio chairs to use on the property. They are really great to sit on the dock! There is also a charcoal grill and a crab trap for you to use. (You need a fishing license and bait. Chicken bones works great!) Fishing is great here... the canals have been dredged and folks are catching right of the back of their lots. Community fishing area is on the end of both Van Sant and Mabry, Mabry has a boat ramp. These you cast right off a drop to the intracoastal. Beach Access via community gate at end of street. Combination for those will be shared in arrival instructions. Spot is a residential lot... It is 60 x 130. Canal City is a quiet residential area. The back side fronts on the water. You will probably see more seagulls and purple martins than people. We have weekly discounts. Message me and I can go over them because the Hipcamp platform makes them difficult. It works out to approximately 7 nights for the price of 5. Be prepared: Bolivar has mosquitoes. This is the coast. If it has rained they can be really bad. The county sprays on a regular rotation but it can be bad. They tend to swarm when you pull in. Spray helps. We also send recommendations for what sprays work best for us in the arrival instructions. We do not offer refunds for mosquitoes. We have never found them unmanageable, and the screen porch keeps them almost entirely away. We are east of Rollover Pass. Easiest to arrive through Winnie and south on 124. Unless you are coming from Galveston or southeast Houston it is probably shorter. The ferry is fun (dolphins and such) but the waits can be long. Also: Do not bring loose propane tanks or gasoline cans on the ferry, they will send you away. Weekend Trip to Providence Farm and Ranch

We were so lucky to find this beautiful property for an overnight stop between San Antonio and New Orleans. Gary was kind enough to take our same day reservation, even though they were already heading out for the day. He gave us instructions on getting in and we were set up in no time. Wonderful level pull through sites with hookups, one with a concrete pad, which we appreciated. We sat outside enjoying the sunset and admiring the horses in the beautiful green pastures. Only issue was the dogs barking at our presence because the owners were away, but they quieted down once they got home, about the time we were going to bed. We got to meet Gary in the morning, he was very apologetic about the dogs, and we had a great chat with him about the property before we headed back on the road. Really enjoyed our short stay, thank you Gary!

Absolutely loved sharing this spot with close friends for a long weekend. We were able to fit our 2 Class A Motorhomes perfectly with all slides open and both gates closed. We enjoyed the fire pit out back near the swing and multiple evening chats on the rooftop deck. Mike was a wonderful, communicative host. We hope to come be back soon.

Simple, straight forward place to camp right on the ocean front. Friendly folks at the local houses/campsites. Be warned, it’s far removed from any real kind of civilization - but THAT is exactly what I look for. Great communication from the host. I would definitely stay again.

Covered space for your RV with plenty of room for the slides. We have an outdoor shower to rinse the sand away after a day at the beach, a picnic table for outdoor meals and chairs to relax in.

It was a great little spot to be near the Gulf breeze and sounds of the waves! The camping areas are well maintained. Nice little path to the beach from the site. We walked along the beach to Peveto Woods and spent time on the trails- maintained but also somewhat primitive. It was a great stay, even though we had to leave early because a storm with high winds coming through. Glenn was very responsive and helpful. We recommend this spot to anyone looking for a quirky, laid-back coastal experience.
