melissa’s spot is super cute and comfy, and she and family were very gracious and accommodating hosts despite us arriving late on xmas eve. we (2 people and an elderly dog) had everything we needed for some good rest, a campfire, and grilling a delicious dinner. melissa also had plenty of useful local tips, and WOW the breakfast sandwich was so good! would stay again 🤗

Absolutely amazing!!! I can’t wait to come back. Melissa was the best house and the property was even better than I expected. I was so comfortable, secure and felt like I was totally isolated. At the same time, I knew help or something I needed was just a text away. The fire pit made cooking a breeze, and I spent so much time in the sauna. The bathtub was amazing and fully stocked!

I loved staying in the magical tipi on Melissa’s land. A truly remarkable experience with amazing breakfast as well.
I stayed for three nights and never tired of the entrance to the enchanted garden, the energy of the tipi, the wonderful hammock and garden chairs to lounge in, and relaxing bathtub (and soothing record player). An unforgettable experience, right in Denton.

This place was amazing! Melissa met us as we pulled in. My two little ones immediately adored her. She was so nice and welcoming. I was honestly blown away with how secluded and “in the woods out in the middle of nowhere” it felt. The boys (6 and 3) and I haven’t done a real camping trip yet and I wanted to do kind of a trial run first. It honestly couldn’t have went better. They said it felt like we went through a portal! We had plenty of fire wood to roast marshmallows and hot dogs and the boys loved the teepee! Thank you again Melissa for such an amazing experience!

With kids
This was my first attempt at taking my young children outdoors overnight. I wanted something as close to camping as possible, and the farm teepee was exactly what I imagined.
Melissa was a wonderful hostess! She was kind, thoughtful and attentive. Most importantly however, she recognized that crazed mom look in my eyes and instantly helped me relax with her friendly demeanor. Teepee was super roomy; 2 big comfy beds with room for 2 wild kids to get their crazies out. The farm was a little bit of wild that they could safely explore and start to get comfortable with all the scary spiders and loud roosters crowing LOL
Her vinyl collection was insane! I need to come back just to listen to more records. But by far the best part of the trip (besides the crazy delicious farm breakfast), was at night when it got quiet and the moon and stars lit up everything and I felt a peace you just can’t get in the city. Getting back in touch with nature like that was incredibly healing and rejuvenating. 10/10 would recommend!

Weekend Trip to Texoma Woods
Do you dream of being able to fish from your front door? The bell tent is truly the most perfect place to stay. Staying on the dock, the water rocks you to sleep.
It is about 15 minutes to the Walmart from location!
All in all, the most beautiful property, the kindest hosts, and the most convenient location to camp without fear of forgetting a necessity or two. We will absolutely be back!

Weekend Trip to Farm Tipi with Sauna
The teepee on Melissa’s land is a unique place to stay. The teepee is big! The bed was very comfortable and we appreciated the electric blankets. We stayed warm and cozy all night. The she shed has a big tub and the bathroom was clean. There’s a coffee maker, record player and a sauna! The land has a privet? hedge that provides for a secluded feel. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Weekend Trip to Texoma Woods
My lovely girlfriend and I decided we needed some time away after a busy month at work so we booked the yurt on Carlos’s land. Let me start off by saying it surpassed our expectations and we had a great experience. They provided a wood stove for the inside of the yurt that kept us very warm through the day and night. He and his wife were a delight and checked in on us to see how everything was which was very kind! If you are having any doubts on booking the yurt we’ll let me put your mind at ease! It is 100% worth it
