Weekend Trip to Lake Godstone™ Lodging and Camping

First and foremost, everything was beautiful. The land was well kept, peaceful, calm. Carol & Dom were absolutely pleasant to be around. They made sure we had everything we needed from the start of our trip to the end. I will definitely be back but with more people this time lol! I also noticed there were others camping with us on other areas but they were respectful and kind. We also did canoeing and paddle boating activities. At night, it was peaceful.

We enjoyed camping beside the creek and having the whole place to ourselves most of the time. I also appreciate that there’s a bathroom with an indoor and outdoor shower! The water is cold, but after kayaking I didn’t really mind. The launch point was very difficult to manage, but that might be because the water was low. I loved the fact that a five minute paddle down the creek took us to the Brazos and a beautiful swim beach!

There's a nice creek for fishing on one side of the property. The restroom is very good and more than you would expect for a simple campground.

We stayed the weekend for a getaway from life and work. Such a calm and relaxing location. It was nice to lay in the hammock and watch the animals walk around. We enjoyed walks around the property with small trails to walk through. One of our best moments was sitting by the lake at night to star gaze, it was such a beautiful view of all the visible stars. Our 4 legged furry daughter really enjoyed laying on the top floor balcony of the dollhouse to enjoy the entire view. We had such an amazing weekend. Thank you Amy for being such an accommodating host. We will definitely 1000% be back!

The experience was perfect and exactly what we were looking for. Amy was very accommodating and great with our children in our group. This camp has a wonderful pavilion with lots of seating and activities for the children also. We loved the animals, the quiet, and the area to walk and enjoy. Clean, easy to access, camping under the trees was perfect. The toilet was easy to use and somehow had no odor. The trickle of the stream made the campsite perfectly peaceful. The camp host was accommodating and responsive. I plan to return

I cannot say enough good things about our stay here. The site and overall area were perfect. Our site had a good blend of shade and open space; the fire pit, picnic table, and outdoor toilet in great condition, and the ranch itself was big enough for my kids to go off and explore but not so big I had to worry about them getting lost. We had planty of quiet solitude but were still close to both Glen Rose and Stephenville. Emory is a great host and I would absolutely stay here again.

5 nights at Creekside Brazos Rock Camp & Kayak

I had a wonderful time RV camping on Sunshine's land and found it hard to leave the peace and beauty of her place. If I could I would give her 6 stars for being so gracious, responsive, and generously accommodating. For example, she allowed me to settle in the most scenic campsite next to the creek while I had reserved a less scenic one closer to the road. She gave me great river intel and additional time to enjoy kayaking on the Brazos. The campground and restroom are clean and well maintained. The experience was exceptional! The location is superb given you are out in the country yet close to the town of Mineral Wells (8 miles) and the Lake Mineral Wells State Park, both of which I enjoyed visiting! However, It is the peace of the place I relished most. Thank you again, Sunshine!

Very beautiful place! Host gave us code after signed waiver and was able to enjoy a peaceful stay by the creek. Very communicative host and place in amazing condition. Bathroom exactly as pictured. Please don’t make a mess here so we can a further enjoy this gorgeous area. Be kind and respectful.

We stayed at panorama with a 20ft camper and we loved it. The dogs had a great time as they were able to run around and explore as well. The fishing was great considering the weather we had to deal with, (50+ mph wind gusts), but we still had a great time. Our hosts were awesome and accommodating. We definitely want to come back to do swimming and fishing when the water isn’t so cold!

Good little private spot for a weekend getaway with just the essentials. With Dinosaur Valley State Park just a short drive away, this was a great choice for us. Will come back with a group next time!

Great campsite with lots of activities for a group trip! Our host did a great job greeting us and showing us around the property. The bathrooms and showers really surprised us with how nice they were. Lake is great to swim and fish in.

Located at the end of the road. There is over 20 acres. Some cleared and some still in original woods. Trees, grass and deer everywhere. There is over a quarter mile of Brazos riverfront property although you cannot get to the river on all of it due to it being in its natural state. There is a beach at the main camp that provides easy in and out of the water. the water depth varies with the rainfall but is usually between 2-4 feet deep.

Come stay on our 100 acre Richard Creek Valley getaway, gently tucked away on the north slope. There are four campsites on the property and they are all at least 150 yards away from each other. Each site is private. When the ground is dry there is access for all vehicles. When the ground is muddy, Brookside, RiverRock, and Richardson Creek campsites require a 4-wheel drive and have alternate routes to get to them. Ancient Oaks is an all-weather site. You can enjoy hiking and swimming in Richardson Creek when water levels permit. Canoeing from Bakers Crossing put-in which is only 3 miles away. Some places to check out while you are here include Dinosaur Valley State Park, Dinosaur World, Granbury Historic Square, Stephenville Rodeo, Bakers Crossing River Put-In, Oakdale Plunge Pool, and BigRocks Park in Glen Rose. Fuller's Folly River Ranch

Sundancer On The Brazos sits on Comanche Creek in an isolated forest on a 350 acre working cattle ranch with a quarter mile of river frontage! The Comanche were quite active up and down this part of the Brazos when the earliest settlers arrived around 1850, until the Comanches' eventual conquest by the Texas Rangers and their Colt pistols around 1870; we have found lots of flint and some arrowheads on high places here. Going further back in history, the Fuller's Folly River Ranch has an abundance of petrified wood, they say that if you have fossilized sea shells you were under water, but if you have petrified wood you had land creatures. Hunting for petrified wood is a fun adventure here. (But leave them for the next person to discover!) Weatherford is only 10 minutes away and Granbury is only 20 minutes away; both have great restaurants. And this close to Fort Worth (30min), you could actually commute and have a ranch to come home to at night--note the lower pricing mid week.

There is quiet camping away from the activity at the shop but the focus is on building here and we allow generators and power tools 24/7 because often our guests work through the night during the hot summer months. We are well establish, going on 3 years and we have drawn customers here from coast who have converted their vans and buses for great adventures.Our Hipcamp camping area is away from the busy shop and is very quiet and peaceful. No light pollution out here and star gazing at night is amazing. Our property is on the banks of the Brazos River just north of Possum Kingdom Lake and just south of Graham, TX. The fishing is usually excellent and we often see 20+ pound catfish and bass caught sitting on our riverbank. The channel is deep and wide and you may swim at your own risk and canoeing and kayaking are always an option. Trees are Live Oak, White Oak, Red Cedar, and Mesquite 20 to 30 ft tall, the ground is rocky and covered with flint and quartz and arrow heads are often found here as this was once reservation land. In the summer months we do have copperheads, rattlesnakes, scorpions, and tarantulas roaming around although we don't see them often. Guests should be aware of their surroundings at all times though. Winter time is when it's great to roam and explore as temps are mild and the critters are hibernating.Population here is sparse at approx 1 person per sq mile in our county and our place is very private and secure. Wildlife is abundant and there are several great short trails to hike on our property or adventure as far as you like in the river bottom which is public land. The town of Graham population 8k is 5 miles away and has all the daily required retail stores and fast food. And there are wonderful shops and local history to explore.
