Best campsite I’ve found! Llamas are really sweet and the site is well taken care of. There are dogs/cats that roam the property, so make sure you don’t leave any trash out. Great site, easy check in.

I had such a wonderful time visiting this campsite! Barry the host was just wonderful, extremely accommodating and great company. I would recommend a stay here to anyone! My boyfriend and I did a little fishing, some swimming, enjoyed music by campfire but still got to catch the clippers game ;) perfect glamping/getaway destination!

Our small Girl Scout troop really enjoyed a laid back first time tent camping experience here at Llamaland Ranch. We opted for the pavilion site so we had access to running water, electric outlets, a really nice grill, and a small mini fridge. It was the perfect set up and for an experienced camper like myself it really felt like glamping. Judy and her son were very helpful and friendly. They provided plenty of feed for us to feed the Llamas and we didn't have any issues with them. The llamas were very gentle and curious. They came and went several times during our stay to visit us and other people in the other campsites. It was a beautiful place and I plan to come back out with family and friends in the future!

I cannot put into words how magical this place is! Barry was really nice, greeted us upon arrival and then gave us space to venture out and explore the land. We had an absolute blast at Llama land! Site 1 was perfect for our littles, we had full access to the llamas but a nice fence to keep kiddos and animals separate. Lots of friendly cats and dogs on property, which the kiddos also loved. The pond was a hit for fishing, bathrooms were as clean as you'd expect for a campsite maybe even cleaner than I expected, and the property was gorgeous. Judy was one of the friendliest and most helpful property owners I've dealt with, and you can tell her and her crew love what they do. We will absolutely be back!

Judy was a very accommodating host. We got in pretty late and she showed us around our campsite. The land was very green and well kept and the trees were massive. The campsites were very well set up very nicely with swings, fire pits, and rocking chairs. The dog and cats roaming around were super friendly. The llamas were pretty cool and they love the food. You have to bribe them with food to get them interact with you though, but they are very chill. The bathroom was very clean and nice and had running water. I wish I could’ve found the creek but I couldn’t find the trail to it. Overall great experience!

If you have reservations with the llamas don't worry. The host is outstanding and you have the option to camp right with the llamas or in one of serveral spots fenced off while still allowing you to feed them if you choose. I stayed at site 5, that had plenty of amenities and space for my camp setup.

We had 20 Girl Scouts tent camp at Llama Land Ranch, and we had such a great time! We had planned to camp by the pond, but we were happily surprised to be placed near the pavilion instead. So we had shelter, electricity, an amazing outdoor kitchen, and a bathroom with running water! The llamas came and slept near us both nights, and we felt like they were watching over us. We also loved feeding them! We can't wait to go back and bring even more Girl Scouts with us. As other reviewers have said, Judy is a wonderful host. I expect I'll be returning to Llama Land Ranch many times.

We enjoyed our getaway. Barry came out and greeted us, very nice guy and not pushy. There is a common area for anyone/everyone to hang out in. He has a crows nest on the top of his house, which he allows people to go up, beautiful view. Definitely go up there. Lots of cardinals. There might have been other birds also but those are the only ones I saw. Lots of bluebonnets a few other wild flowers. His landscape looks nice. It rained part of the time and the few parts that were dirt did Not get muddy. The lake was very close and was nice to look out at. We were very happy about that because it meant we could still go wonder around. I brought my dog, she enjoyed smelling everything. There were 2 other dogs that were possibly free roam from a neighbor, they were very nice. The male dog loved pets and tried to politely try and get treats. The RV is tiny. Lots of extra comforters and towels. It did fit us just fine, I did need a min to get used to it. 😆 Everything was in working order. Barry was very accommodating and brought us over some firewood.

The Sniders played an important part in the development of our town, Lucas, and surrounding schools. The rest of the land has been sold to two families, and all three purchasers (that includes us!) are establishing small family farms. Hurray! Plus the Snider's old house and barn next door are being renovated by the new owners! Since 2013, we have brought in water and electricity to the land, built fences, a house and several barns. We have a flock of chickens, a bunch of loud, nosey Nubian dairy goats, 2 cats and 2 dogs. We farm organic vegetables, and have planted some fruit trees. We are committed to conservation of our land and the wildlife that call it home, and are working to restore our wildflower meadow (location of the campsite) to original prairie state. Come see us; we'd like to share it all with you! Learn more about this land: Come to Fieldsong Farm, absorb the peace and serenity, and leave refreshed! Stake your tent on the edge of our tallgrass wildflower meadow, and immerse yourself in diversity where the city ends and the country begins. There are some targets around the place if you like target shooting. You will need your own guns and ammunition. This activity is at your own risk. Neighboring town, Malone is about 8 miles away. It's quite small but does have a convenience store, with ice, drinks, food, and worms for fishing. There is also a small-town bar with music and food. Hubbard is a nice little town about 15 miles away. It features small cafes, antique shopping, gas and a Sonic. The town of West is much larger and about 30 miles away. West features Czech Bakeries, & old town square shopping. Don’t forget mosquito spray, bedding, and drinking water. There is plenty of dead wood for fire, but you may want something to cut it into smaller pieces. Please don’t go too big or crazy with fire. Conditions can be very dry. Keep the wood burning fireplace in the tent to small fires please. Tents can fit 2 adults comfortably; bring your kids and sleep on floor or bring your own tent to set up for them. children are free no extra charge.
