Founded in the 90s, Mariposa is an old quarry that once was used for soil grading, caliche mining. ** there is potable well access and a toilet available at the community center. We have a dumpster here as well. Park your RV off the road to accommodate your rig. Currently no hookups. Our primitive tent camping spaces are spread out for added privacy. Camp where you feel most comfortable. When you camp at Mariposa you have privacy and great views of the plains. Walk the main top areas and down the road to get a scope of the outdoors. simple reasonably spaced and level sites except in spots can be rocky. Very quiet. Great sunsets and close to town. Laundry room with four working washing machines and dryers.(uses app, coins, or cc). Small clean bathroom and check-in was working in laundry room… Plus the price is right.

We stayed here one night with our RV and really liked it! 😊 The place felt safe and peaceful, and we slept great. The laundry was nice — not spotless, but the machines were good and it’s great that you can see the remaining time in the app. There’s also a gas station nearby, which is super convenient. The sunset was beautiful, and at night we could see lots of stars ✨ The only downside was a bit of an unpleasant smell in the evening, but overall a really good stay. Definitely recommend! 🚐🌅

This was a great stop over spot for me since it is so close to the highway. There was a lot of construction on the way getting there, so the Google maps spot sent me to the wrong spot. However the owner was quick to get back to me with correct directions.

So peaceful and quiet. Temperature was perfect even in August. Nice clean bathrooms and campsite. Allowed late check in as long as we were quiet. Just a word: don't use Google maps to get there. The address took me to a bunch of cows and the pin took me to the end of a dirt road and stop sign with no way of knowing which way to turn. My daughter looked them up on her apple maps and got us there. Would still stay here despite the difficulty finding it.

Nice location and well maintained. Had a few technical difficulties with automated checkin, but I had already paid so it wasn't a big deal. LOVE that the laundry was via an app. NO QUARTERS! It's the little things.

Great spot for my VW Bus the camp out while in town. Nice view to wake up to in the morning. Great wifi. Great spots. Nothing fancy easy going. Toilet is a camp toilet with bag just FYI. But we had our own Composting toilet so no worries. Definitely worth the stop

The camping experience at Silo’s without a doubt, was one of the best through Hipcamp. I loved the spot we got as it had really great sunrise views. All the travel hangover we had from the previous night was gone with that beautiful sunrise. The campground is well equipped with hook ups, clean restrooms and impeccable views. I would camp here again.

The Silos at Canyon was such a cool spot to camp. Beautiful spot to watch the sunset and sunrise. They had everything you need and more (like an actual hot shower!) super peaceful. Very dog friendly. The camp host was so nice and very accommodating. 10/10 would recommend to anyone needing a safe, beautiful, and comfortable camp spot in Canyon!

Great little spot for a quick overnight on a cross-country trip. Arrived in rain, so we were able to use their gravel pad. The owner even had a double reservation at another site if it didn't work for us. Restroom was clean. Dog park was awesome. We appreciated their quick comms and exceptionally well maintained site.
