3rd time staying on the campgrounds and it was just as amazing as the first time. Hollis and Beaux are just so amazing and very great hosts! Brought my daughter this time and she also enjoyed life under the stars away from the city. Such a great hidden gem!

Weekend Trip to Happy Horse Camp & RV Getaway
The Happy Horse Hotel had everything we could ask for; from the cozy cabin, clean horse pens, nice outhouses, and onsite trails, to the nearby attractions such as the McKinney Roughs Nature Park, the Bastrop Museum, and the various local shops. We had a wonderful time and look forward to visiting again! - Arianna S.
The Camping Palace was quite lovely, it had everything we needed. Beaux and Hollis are very wonderful hosts and saw to it that we were doing alright. Both are very friendly and accommodating. I look forward to returning. - Kelli K.

My daughter and her 3 friends were very happy and comfortable in their air conditioned cabin even in the late July Texas heat. We are so thankful that Hollis provides such fun and safe place for my family to visit.

The trip was so relaxing and I loved the scenery in the early mornings. The camp house was really comfortable and had ample supplies for a welcoming camp weekend. We also took a Harmonica class with Hollis and had a blast learning from such a talented musician. Can’t wait to come again some time!

Weekend Trip to Orrasis Ranch
The Baithouse was so adorable, perfect for me and my husband. The camp hosts were amazing, especially due to all the major flooding happening around us, kept us updated to current conditions, etc We had an amazing experience even though we didn’t get to explore much due to the weather. Will definitely be back!

The stay at the Happy Horse Bungalow was an enjoyable, relaxing weekend for us. We loved the outdoors and closeness to nature. We would definitely stay again. Had numerous trails. Even had a scavenger hunt. The bright stars around the campfire at night were quite relaxing.

I would highly recommend staying at the Happy Horse Camp! The cabins have a lovely, quaint vibe and are clean with a solid set of amenities. Showers and bathrooms are available, and the on site nature walk with the scavenger hunt is very fun.
Beaux and Hollis went above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable. I proposed to my fiance and they helped set up the proposal location on the nature walk. My fiance was very suprised and it made for a magical day:) Huge thanks to Beaux and Hollis for their help and responsiveness.

Weekend Trip to Happy Horse Camp & RV Getaway
What went well? EVERYTHING was better than described or expected. My wife and I were met by Bo (sorry if not the spelling). Smiling from ear to ear and just an overall wonderful person. He helped us take our things to our cabin and described different things that we could do. Everything from a scavenger hunt to harmonica lessons. Beautiful property nestled away from traffic or prying eyes. The cabins are spaced well far apart so you do not feel like others are in your business. I could not believe how well stocked the cabin was. Plenty of blankets, heaters, ceiling fans, air conditioning, cookware, microwave - this was literally the easiest camping experience I've ever had and I'm 55 lol. They also have a fire pit area for each individual cabin to make the experience even nicer. We spent 2 evenings and just had a blast. There are plenty of places to get wonderful food, beverages or any other thing you and your family might need. This is a must stop for camping on a wonderful level. Each cabin also had its own 5 star outhouse and 5 star is the truth! Absolutely cleaner than public restrooms with every necessity. I highly recommend this camping spot!

I LOVED the Bait House! It was just the right size for a getaway with myself and my dog. I think 2 adults max would be comfortable here. It had everything I needed and more. The outdoor shower was a delightful experience. The only downside for me was they have chickens and roosters on the property and I was awoken by the cock-a-doodle-do before dawn every morning. The house was is located near a few parks so we were able to enjoy hiking within 10 minutes from the property. Downtown Marble Falls is also about 10 min away if you want local dining experiences, which I did grab takeout from 2 different restaurants while I was there. Overall it was a nice little getaway and great location!

We always have a great time whenever we stay here. A group of us get together for a friend‘s birthday and plenty of room for us and the kids to run around and just be together and relax. Hollis is a great host and very responsive to any needs you may have.
