Located at the end of the road. There is over 20 acres. Some cleared and some still in original woods. Trees, grass and deer everywhere. There is over a quarter mile of Brazos riverfront property although you cannot get to the river on all of it due to it being in its natural state. There is a beach at the main camp that provides easy in and out of the water. the water depth varies with the rainfall but is usually between 2-4 feet deep.

Bring your fishing poles - the peninsula is a perfect fishing location on our stocked lake! Relax and read a book in the tree shade or hike around the lake. Check out our lake wildlife including plenty of waterfowl that regularly visit. Courteous canine friends are welcome. Our camping area is a graded grass and dirt area off of a gravel driveway with shade trees and a lake view. Enjoy a peaceful camping setting. There is a shared water hydrant for the campsites. For bigger water and easy access to Lake Ray Roberts State Park, head over to the Johnson Branch of Lake Ray Roberts which is less than 15 minutes away. We are located next door to 555 Vineyard and the Vineyard Tasting room. Also, check out downtown Valley View with local restaurants including Blue Bonnet Cafe, York N Ale, Hess Meat Market, and Firelight Vineyard just 7 minutes away. Edge of the Lake Vineyard is also 7 minutes away. Drinking water is available at the campsites from a water hydrant. No electricity is available at campsites. There are no bathroom amenities here. Guests will need to be self-contained, take waste with them and leave no trace.

1 night at Gypsy Moon Hideaway

Had a wonderful last minute visit camping with my two dogs and cat. The location was easy to get to and on site directions were straightforward and accurate. Conveniently located about 30mins outside of Weatherford. Hosts were friendly and helpful. All the primitive sites were labeled and each has a picnic table and fire ring. Sites are spaced out similar to what you would see at a state park. We stayed at “the point” right on the river bank. It was beautiful and had access to the water. I saw another review about neighbors lights and dogs bark; I am going to assume they stayed in the same site as us because it’s the farthest back on Gypsy moon also making it the closest to the neighboring rv park. I did notice the lights but you could easily reposition to avoid them and the dogs barked when we first got there and were setting up but then settled. Neither bothered us nor are these things in control of the hosts. Shower and bathroom in good working condition. Lots of chickens, geese and goats out near the rvs but none wandered over to primitive camping. Didn’t go in or inquire about bait shop so nothing to review but did see firewood for sale. Overall very good value for the price and I will gladly return if I’m in the area again.

Camp site #7 was a pretty big camp site. Plenty of space between every campsite. The view on the patio at the winery was amazing during sunset. Food and wine was great too

A great place to cold weather camp. Well taken care of, quiet, and beautiful. Lots of wildlife, nice walks, everything you need is there. The send off I got from the coyotes on my last morning was just amazing and peaceful. Don’t go here, you’ll hate it. 😂

We loved tent camping on Amy's land! Everyone very kind and the area is beautiful and relaxing we had a wonderful time fishing and just being outdoors in nature. It reminded me of childhood spent on my grandparents farm. With all the goats, chickens and ducks etc.

Amy's place is always a welcome reprieve from the world. Situated on a nice piece of property along the river, it is a very chill vibe. If you are tent camping, I recommend the Far Far Away site. This is my second time here, and it's apparent that continued improvements have been made. She did have to shut down the honor system store because.... well, people suck. And I hate that for Amy, because she is such a sweet lady. But I understand the decision. If you come here, please be kind, respectful, and pick up any trash you see from previous campers.

This was our third time camping at 4R, and it’s honestly becoming one of our favorite traditions. The campgrounds are always clean, peaceful, and beautifully maintained. My kids love exploring the area — hiking the trails, walking the hills, and finding new little spots each time we come. Evenings are our favorite part. Sitting around the campfire, making s’mores, and playing games in the tent once the sun goes down always ends up being the highlight of the trip. It’s such a great mix of quiet, nature, and time together without distractions. Every visit has been consistently great, and this one was no different. If you’re looking for an easy, kid-friendly camping spot with gorgeous views, space to explore, and a warm, relaxing atmosphere, 4R Ranch is hard to beat. We’ll definitely be back.

I loved the dispersed tent camping area, a perfect place for my dog to run around and I could see how it’d be easy for a large group! And the flexibility of being able to go to the tasting room up the hill to grab a wine bottle or two cannot be overstated. Very nice, would recommend.

We enjoyed the beautiful and peaceful scenery. Perfect distance from D/FW to get away. The Winery and Restaurant offer a fantastic view. We didn't do the winery tasting but plan to do that next time. We'll be back soon!

We booked a very last minute night’s stay during the week and got there after dark. The information in the listing and online was so complete that arrival was easy. No need for help from anyone. The camp site was perfectly clean and clear with firewood provided. We’re looking forward to staying when we have more time and can enjoy the winery.
