We are also collector's of vintage RV's and currently have various vintage trailers and motorhomes on the property. There are horses and longhorn cattle that roam the 12 acres. We have added RV spaces to share the ranch experience with others. Be sure to visit the hey shed where you can visit with animals up close and feed them. Eagle Mountain Lake is only 2 miles away and there is plenty of shopping and restaurants within 10 minutes. We do have some full time residents as well.

The whole property is great to get away from everything. It was our first time camping with a travel trailer and Top of dam was a great location. Plenty of room, great scenery. We rode bikes on all the trails and all the sites were secluded and roomy. It was cold and windy but we made the most of it. We are planning on returning with a bigger group to enjoy it again and utilize more of the amenities.

The campground was very well maintained. The host of the actual campsite were also very very nice interact with each campsite was laid out with a massive amount of room for each site. Could not recommend it any higher.

It was wonderful. Very polite. Got to roam around the ranch saw a plethora of animals. Listening to the coyotes at sunrise and sunset. Watching the monarch butterflies fly through camp was magical. The ranch operator and his wife (I’m so sorry I forgot their names) were so polite and nice the doggo too!. They were able to help out with fire wood. Clean facilities, drinking water available. Just great.

We had a great time as a group of two families staying at Lake Godstone- Top of the Dam camp spot. The kids LOVED fishing and catching baby frogs, us adults enjoyed the stargazing and hiking trails that are graveled and shaded which made trekking with littles easier. The Camp managers were very kind checking on us often helping with any items we needed- we absolutely loved how gracious and accommodating they were to our needs. (firewood, worms for fishing, even helped with an ant issue we were facing). The campsite was very rocky so if you book Top of the Dam make sure to bring a tarp for your tent protection and padding to sleep on. The only thing I would mention that we would have liked done better was the condition of the port-a-potty at our assigned campsite. To say the least it was not fit for human use. It was filled with maggots and when the wind caught it just right the stench swept over our camping site- so if you stay at the Top of the Dam be prepared to take a walk on the trails to reach the comfort station. we luckily packed a travel toilet for our littles, and it saved us for this trip. Also, a note, if you explore or book the treehouse location the stairs are very steep and narrow. we did not do our due diligence before letting our kiddos run up the stairs and on one's way down, she missed a narrow step and fell down the staircase. so please be careful if you choose that spot. Overall, we had a blast and will be back!

Gary’s place was just right for our overnight stays. Super easy 20-minute drive to visit our kids and grandkids in Fort Worth. Gary was a great host, really enjoyed chatting with him and hearing a bit about the old dairy farm. Our two grandsons (3 and 5) stayed with us for a couple of nights and loved seeing the longhorns and exploring the property. We’ll definitely be back.

We had a wonderful time getting back to nature! Fishing, hiking, kayaking, and swimming! We saw lots of wildlife and enjoyed the fresh air and all that God has to offer! The bathrooms were conveniently located and superbly clean! Even on a busy holiday weekend it didn't feel overcrowded! Definitely a must try for family campouts!

I have a Ford Transit camper van, so I just needed a place to crash on the weekend away from the city.
I really like that even though it feels I am away from the city there are stores and restaurants 10 minutes drive from the farm.
I also appreciated they had a nice warm shower and a bathroom right by the area I parked.
The fire pit is shareable, but it seems like no one cared for it, so I had it all for me 😅

This small RV campground had everything I could possibly want. There was a huge open field to play in and throw the ball for Lucie. The sunset was gorgeous. The host, Gary was kind and informative. The neighbors were friendly. There were even cows to feed and horses to watch. The eclectic architecture and attractive decor kept me entertained for two days.

It was a very fun experience staying at top of the dam campsite. We will be back and possibly stay at some of the other locations. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We forgot our pump to our air mattresses and they were able to provide a air compressor which helped out tremendously. Thank you so much! We will be back!
