Unique glamping experience, beautifully located with exceptional peace a quite. Facilities are clean, and kept to high standards. Nearby Llano is a welcoming city with historical attractions, also several of the Texas State Parks that are unique and worth visiting. Star gazing was amazing!

We absolutely loved the dome! It was so private and serene. Beautiful views of the sunset in the evening and deer passing by in the morning. The dome itself was clean, well designed, and well appointed (down to the airfryer and adjustable desk with a monitor!). The bed was really comfortable with no shortage of linens and the A/C was nice an powerful! It was a very short drive from Llano, close to Enchanted Rock, and just far enough from Austin to feel like a true getaway. Hands-down an amazing experience!

Our stay in the safari tent was really nice. Exactly as pictured and described! The setup was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed for a camping trip without the hassle of packing heavy gear. The bathroom with the powered rooftop was such a great bonus and made the experience even better. We loved the balance of being close to nature while still having all the little comforts covered.

Lost horizon was a great experience for us. I’m in my 40’s and we enjoy camping but I am not into communal living or multiple units close together. This offered the seclusion we wanted and a fair price. You will need a 4x4 vehicle or at least a full size suv to get down the last stretch of road to the sites. Everything else is just as noted on the site and within the website for the property. Don’t hesitate to book!

We had a wonderful time staying at Lost Horizon with our two pups! We enjoyed the quiet and serene surroundings, saw mule deer and antelopes, and felt 100% rejuvenated and recharged. I love my stay at the dome it was extremely relaxing and peaceful. It was such a restful place. Giving the nice feeling of being in the middle of nature but only 15mins from a town that had everything I needed. The dome itself was wonderful with the view from the bedroom to a full bathroom and fast wifi. I spent my whole time at the dome getting a few days of R&R after a deployment and left feeling fully recovered and at peace.

This was such a peaceful spot to just relax and unwind. I got to dive into a good book, take a stroll with my dog, go watch the sunset and sunrise on the suspension bridge, and do a little grilling and marshmallow roasting. Gorgeous spot.
Dogs aren’t allowed into the camper, so that was the only downfall- as I wasn’t aware of that until I got to the location and it was on a sign inside the camper. I have a Saint Bernard- so thankfully I put her in my jeep and kept the AC going- definitely advertise that for sure! Everything else was breathtaking, and it was so quiet.
Bathrooms are directly beside the camper and close to all the other campsites- full shower with hot water, towels, soap, even a baby changing station if you need!

The dome at North Star Cove was absolute perfection!!
Our family (my husband & our 2 daughters) had an absolute blast and enjoyed getting away & immersing ourselves in nature!
The fold out couch in the living room worked great for our 2 elementary aged kids.
Plenty of linens and blankets and pillows.
The bathroom and shower & kitchen were very nice! Air conditioners worked very well, and there’s a standing fan as well.
We built a campfire, stargazed, played horseshoes, made s'mores, used the tree swing, and just had an AMAZING time together as a family!
The outhouse bathroom was in great condition as well.
The town of Llano was SO cute! We enjoyed the famous Cooper’s BBQ. The drive alone to North Star Cove was just simply gorgeous!
We definitely want to return one day, and we highly recommend North Star Cove to anyone wanting to unplug and get away either as a couple or as a family!!! The Llano hill country is good for the soul!
