Randall was very accommodating and had great communication! I stayed in the treehouse with my 2 kids and we all loved it and slept well. Its a very peaceful area and we were able to enjoy waking up next to the pond, catching a few fish and getting on the water with kayaks and paddleboards that were available to use. Definitely made some memories!

We had a great time camping here. The spot we had was surrounded with trees and pretty secluded, it provided us privacy. In the morning, I love watching sunrise in front of the pond. By nightfall, you can hear the sound of nature- birds and more. It was a very relaxing weekend. Randall was a pleasant host. Long hikes are not possible, but there are pathways to walk around. Great option for primitive campers. Water is available but you need to walk from point A to B. Overall experience, great!

26 nights at Lindale, Coyote Camping/Yurt/Tiny

Every time I come through, the coyote campground is my hip camp of choice. The town is bustling only 6 miles away, the campsites are spacious, and there's even a dog park being fenced in for camping pups! The free roaming mini goats are the best 😀

Rands property is a beautiful tranquil treasure just outside of busy Dallas. If you dislike how close you are to other campers in state parks and are looking for an alternative, this is the place to go. An additional bonus is Rand has a couple of kayaks and paddle boards you can use on the pond. This place is a treat and I highly recommend.

A group of us camped there for one night and we had the best of time. Rand is a gracious host providing clear instructions and directions. His property is beautiful and tranquil where you can hike and do water activities in the pond. We were there the day after Pink Full Moon and the sky was clear that was perfect for Star and moon gazing. We had two ladies who bought a new tent for this outing and they said they enjoyed every minute of it and look forward for another outing at the property.

Beautiful water, tree house, & property!! We celebrated my husbands birthday with friends and my kiddos kayaked and paddle boarded for first time. Randol was so helpful and hospitable providing life jackets and a sleeping mat when my inflatable mattress deflated. Just kind hospitality. We made it through the rain camping in a tent and lightning & made the best of it! Was a lot of fun & beautiful peace filled getaway. You will hear many animal noises at night that was definitely an experience ☺️

I have camped at Randal’s place many times but this was my first time sleeping in his treehouse. It looks very rustic and I loved the hummingbird stained glass window! The bed was comfortable and I slept well on it. It was a bit warm at night so I am glad to be able to use the electric outlet available to plug in my phone. A thunderstorm rolled in overnight but the treehouse was well insulated so no water got in. I definitely want to stay there again sometime!

Texas Safari Camp was fantastic. We went as a group of 9 LGBT friends and we felt incredibly welcomed. Randall is a very kind and accommodating host who has been hosting campers on his property for decades. The property itself was lovely. There are two ponds on the property. We camped next to the back pond which was a bit of a hike with all of our gear, but the off-road carts provided make this much easier. We took advantage of the stand up paddle boards, kayaks, and swam in the main pond. It was a great time! The trails on the property are well maintained and nice to traverse. Would recommend this location and we will definitely be back again.

2 nights at Texas Safari Camp

We spent two wonderful nights at one of the many well-maintained tent sites on Randall’s stunning and secluded property. Our chosen site came with a table, which was a thoughtful and convenient touch. The boys had an absolute blast kayaking and fishing in the larger pond, and their visit to the nearby Zoofari Park made the trip even more memorable. It was the perfect getaway from the city—peaceful, beautiful, and filled with adventure!

Randall was the kindest, most respectful, intentional, and delightful host. He met us at our truck when we arrived and gave us a tour and even invited us to join him by the fire and hear about how this Hipcamp came to be. The cabin is clean, sturdy, comfortable, and so cute. The queen mattress is very comfy. The bathroom is clean and easily accessible. The land is peaceful, private, and well maintained. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!

It adjoins a 950 acre wildlife park with 900 exotic animals. Many can be seen from the road or you can pay to drive through and feed the animals. Your host is Randall Oliver. He has been organizing group campouts (with as many as 40 people) for years and enjoys hosting, bringing people together and creating new friendships and memories. Everyone is welcome and campers are treated like family. He can teach your kids to kayak and build a camp fire. You can fish for largemouth bass, cat, crappy and bluegill in the two ponds and swim, paddle kayaks and paddle boards, hike the jungle trail and socialize around the campfires. There are no designated campsites. You can camp anywhere except between the green building and the front pond. No vehicles are allowed back on the property. Off road wagons are provided to help haul your gear. Front pond camping areas are 30-100 yards from parking area. The rear pond is more secluded but farther from the parking and outhouse. There are four fire pits around the front pond and one next to the rear pond. The tiny handcrafted Hummingbird Tree House overlooks the front pond and features a queen bed, a smaller bed in the loft, electricity, lights, a fan, screened operable windows and outdoor table and chairs on the elevated deck. There is no heat or air conditioning in the tree house. You must bring your own sleeping bags, blankets and pillows. No food, smoking or pets allowed in the tree house. There is a rustic outhouse with a modern composting toilet, sink, lights, soap, etc. and a nearby cold water outdoor shower (no privacy), sink and faucet.
