I didn’t get the chance to meet Judy in person, but she was nothing but responsive and helpful! I only got the Day Pass so i could get a lay for the land and spend some time in nature, and even if I couldn’t stay for long, it was a wonderful and peaceful time. Definitely will be booking a campsite in the future (and buying some food for the llamas!) when the weather warms up a bit, cause I would love to come back and stay for the whole day.
PS: the cat wandering the property was an absolute sweetheart. Didn’t expect to make a friend while I was there!

This place is amazing! Our family really really enjoyed it. Helped us setup although we came so late and it was raining. The llamas are so funny. We took so many funny videos and pictures. One of the best time we had. Definitely coming back soon!

We had a wonderful time at Llamaland Ranch Judy was so welcoming and very responsive to our questions and requests. My daughter loved interacting with the Llamas and running around the big open spaces. We loved sitting by the fire and star gazing. We even caught a few shooting stars. The drive from Dallas was quick and easy. We will be camping at Llamaland Ranch again.

Such a fun experience camping with the llamas! We had a great weekend here, and the charcuterie board was excellent and the perfect lunch for us on Saturday. The owners are super helpful and friendly, and the llamas make it so fun.

Lamas everywhere, much touch, good fun.
Good campsite, chose to camp outside enclosure but camping inside with the lamas is an option. I was worried they might be too pushy bit they were very friendly, only really pushed if you had food for them, then they'd surround you. Very large area, free to walk around, lovely vibes.

Thank you Judy and Al, me and my boyfriend loved spending 2 nights on the sanctuary lot. The trees provided the perfect amount of shade for the hot weekend. It was my first time seeing llamas and they were way bigger than I thought they would be, but they were gentle giants! One even gave me a kiss on the cheek when I wasn’t paying attention. There were cute kitties and puppies on the land as well. One small cat with orange splotches was so sweet and guarded our tent all night. We wanted to steal her so bad. There were lots of other campers there too but we were all very spread out, no noise from them at all.

We dry camped in our RV and loved Llamaland. It was a great place to relax for the weekend. The pond site is huge and surrounded by fields. There are nice wooden picnic tables, chairs and a big firepit under a huge oak tree. Sunset views over the pond were beautiful. There is an outhouse nearby for tent campers.
The llamas were friendly and cute. It was fun to hang out with them. Some were a bit aggressive about the food but you can just push them away or hide the food. Harry, Judy’s dog, came and hung out with us for a while too. It rained so we had the entire pasture to ourselves. Almost all of the sites are under trees with nice set ups.
Judy and her husband were great. We would highly recommend staying here if you love animals.

Llama land is a beautiful, spacious spot to camp. Feeding the llamas and having them wander among us was delightful! Judy the host was super friendly and helpful- she made sure we were enjoying ourselves. The bathroom facilities were nice too.

Location is easy to get in and out, and it is close to the main road through the town. The grounds are well kept and it was quiet. Site 38 was not level, but I was only there one night, and I chose to be along the back fence. They have larger, pull through spots that are more level in the middle row. Sites are gravel with full hookups. I only used electric and the post looked new and was clean. (no spider webs) They have a nice, clean laundry with clean newer looking machines, which was great since I needed to do laundry. They do not have a bathhouse or restrooms. It was a great spot to stay overnight and I was able to book the same day so it really helped me on my travels.

So cool, on the grounds of a plantation style house. Great use of space. Well maintained and organized. All amenities for us. We only stayed one night as we were driving through.

Where to go
Dallas
The city sights are just an hour’s drive away, whether you want to catch a Dallas Cowboys game, visit the John F. Kennedy memorial, or get your culture fix in the Arts District. Urban campers have options in Dallas too. Lake Lavon and Lake Ray Hubbard have waterfront campgrounds, swimming beaches, and leafy parks right on the cusp of the city, while RV parks and cabins dot the shores of Lake Lewisville to the north.
East Dallas Lakes
North of Cedar Creek, lake lovers will find plenty of places to get on the water. Check into the lakefront campground at Lake Tawakoni State Park or head to one of the lake’s RV parks with easy access to the boat launches and fishing coves. Nearby, Lake Fork has several marinas and lakeside golf courses, while further north, Sulphur Springs is the gateway to Cooper Lake State Park on the shores of Jim Chapman Lake.
Texas Pineywoods
Vast expanses of rolling woodlands blanket the Texas Piney Woods, where adventurers can hike, mountain bike, rock climb, and zipline through the forest. Miles of hiking trails lead the way through the Davy Crockett, Angelina, and Sabine National Forests, where you can choose between developed campgrounds and backcountry camping or seek out a glamping getaway in the woods.
