We have over 19.3 acres of hill country beauty to explore. Take a casual dip in the mighty Llano River, or take the plunge off of 20-foot red rock cliffs into deep cool water. Kayak, canoe, swim, visit the Eckart Bat Cave, or take a scenic drive down the gorgeous James River Road (a winding gravel road that goes over several low water crossings on the crystal clear James River). Enjoy the island in front of the property, with its beaches and multiple access points to swimming holes.

The Ranch is our place we like to go when we need to get away. It's raw and it's nice land to camp, explore and enjoy wildlife. We have a Wildlife Exemption on the property and enjoy managing native song birds. We keep a constant flow of bird seed located in feeders around the ranch, and we have seen all kinds of birds making this a great place for birders. The ranch has nice elevation changes with a wet weather creek that traverses the property. There are some trails to hike or mountain bike. The cabin is rustic without plumbing or electricity, but we enjoy it and it's fun to think it's everything we would need. This is off-grid living all the way, and we are constantly learning new and better ways to do things.
The cabin is located on the very first spot we pitched a tent after purchasing the land, and we continue to make improvements as we go. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

We stayed in Cabin 13 and absolutely loved it! It had more amenities than we expected- a bathroom with towels, a kitchen with dishes, DVDs to choose from, etc. It was quiet and felt very safe and well tended to. We plan on going back again soon! My kids and I had a great time- my dog too!

This is a beautiful remote property with dark skies. We booked this cabin last minute to watch the Geminid meteor shower and it did not disappoint. Travis left detailed instructions on both getting to the property and what to expect once there. Be prepared and you will have a great time! We saw longhorns, and whitetail deer. We will definitely be back to this property.

One of the coolest places we’ve ever stayed! Massive catfish in the river and lots of room to explore. The house is historic and super cozy! 10/10 would definitely recommend! Hosts were superb and were there anytime we needed them!

We rented the tiny home. It was clean and well attended to. The staff was nice, friendly, and attentive throughout our stay. Great location for relaxation, kayaking, and star gazing! Great restaurants near by!

You do not charge me a $55 cleaning fee when the sheets haven't been changed, but only deodorized with the strongest smelling deodorant I have ever encountered.
White towels Always! Ours were gray with brown streaks. I guess somebody used them after they did their business in our cabin. Luckily we brought our own and used those after we showered/ swam.
Had to listen to Tammy. Go on and on for 30 minutes about leaving a good review but you know what? No.
To her credit she did give us two tubes for free.
I'm not expecting Caesars Palace in this type of camping situation but it could have been a whole lot better.

We enjoyed our stay in the big cabin. It fit our family of 7 and we had plenty of things to do! This place was perfect for kids, even toddlers. We felt safe the entire time and the property manager was there if we needed anything. We’ll definitely come back, but with friends!!!

Dos Rios was there PERFECT spot for my family! We stayed 3 nights at the Tiny Cabin 12. It had everything we needed from kitchen appliances, to clean bedding and towels! This space accommodated me my partner, my 8 month old, 8 year old and our German shepherd. Super comfortable, nice AC, hot showers, and a fire pit to cook on outside. The main guy that was working there helped us as soon as we arrived! He was a huge help to us during our stay! The river area was so beautiful every morning and evening, very clean around the whole RV park. I highly recommend this place to anyone especially if you have kids or pets! Everyone around us was very respectful and polite ❤️❤️ We will be back again!

Everything was excellent. Really beautiful old home with comfortable beds on a large piece of land that’s easy to lose yourself on (in all the good ways). Owners stopped by to check on us a few times and were super kind. Highly recommend.

First time staying here and was a great experience! Campground is well maintained and so many cool accommodations. The cabins were clean and had everything we needed for our stay, beds were comfy and cozy. Camp hosts were accommodating. We were able to have our dog off leash (being respectful of others of course) which was a huge plus for us as we walked up and down the river. Site bathrooms were heated, another big plus especially if we were to come back and tent camp. Can’t wait to book in the summer and take advantage of the rental kayaks and canoes!

3 nights at Cabin at the Ranch - Harper, TX
I just got back from 3 nights at Travis's ranch and I feel so rested and recentered. The cabin - the decor is awesome. It's like Texas meets native American Indian. As long as you're cool with no water or electricity, you'll think it is perfect. There is a solar powered battery with lights that was helpful at night. The fire pit - lined in white stone with natural wood benches, as if made from fallen trees nearby. I brought firewood and found plenty of kindling nearby to get fires going every night. There's an animal feeder about 30 yards form the fire pit, so while I was warming up by the fire or chilling on the front porch of the cabin, I saw birds, turkeys, donkeys, deer (including 10 point bucks), and longhorns come visit every day. The design of the area is perfect with rustic, classic Texas hill country vibes. There was some rain during my stay, but with the tin roof of the cabin and the rusted-metal decor around the cabin - it was a beautiful symphony of "dings" from the rain. I came out here to "get away from it all" and reconnect with nature, and I couldn't be happier. I feel grateful to have been able to experience some time on this ranch. I would love to come back and bring friends/family. Thanks for having me Travis!
