Our story began in the Dallas area, where we dreamed of having land, space, and the chance to share the great outdoors with others. Former avid RVers, we missed the joy of “glamping” and community life on the road. When we found this property in Tyler, Texas, we knew it was the perfect place to bring that vision to life. What started as a dream has become a God-inspired project fueled by our love for people, adventure, and the beauty of East Texas.
Spread across 60 heavily treed acres, our property offers RV and tent camping, as well as two fully furnished cabins available for short- or mid-term rental (see photos and booking at heavenlyhavenandhideaways.com). Guests can gather around the large communal firepit, enjoy games like tetherball, volleyball, and horseshoes, or relax in the open field with a frisbee or a couple portable disc golf baskets. Trails wind throughout the property, including a small creek and endless opportunities to explore. The trailhead is located just south of Site A.
We’re conveniently located just a few miles from Tyler State Park, where you can swim, bike, or rent paddleboats, and the Caldwell Zoo, known as one of the best small zoos in Texas. Shopping, museums, and great food are close by, along with unique stops in nearby Lindale—like Miranda Lambert’s Pink Pistol boutique.

Easy to find and great amenities. We enjoyed hiking around the property.
Firewood is provided, but it's not covered. If there has been rain, you may want to bring some with you while theirs dries out.

Group trip
Great place for friends and family. I brought my friends out there for a 2 day campout and it was a very great experience. I have 2 small children and they had a blast playing with the toys from the game shed and on the playground. Overall a great experience and 10/10 would definitely recommend!

I loved the quiet and solitude. However, if my grands had been with me they would have had a great time in the play area. The only drawback was I couldn’t get level. I was in Site C in a 36’ class A. I would absolutely return.

Such a beautiful spot! Very quiet, tons of trees, cutesy fire wood, chairs, sinks, trails. Loved my time there. Will definitely book again. 60 acres to roam and I was lucky to catch the leaves changing. They’re serious about allowing dogs off leash. Not an issue for me. I love dogs and enjoyed my several sweet dog visitors.

Jill and Anthony have a great place. Super clean campground. We loved that it's so dog friendly. The outdoor shower and close bathroom were super appreciated. The Nest felt very secluded and was exactly what we were looking for. The picnic table was used and enjoyed as well as the fire pit box.

The string lights were beautiful. Had the tent camping site basically to ourselves for the night. Jill was amazingly helpful. My husband and I were only there for a short time but hope to come back again soon.

Camped for a couple of nights and was surprised. it’s got lights an outhouse and running water along with the standard campground stuff. Owner was out and about and great about making sure everything was working properly. Also had a thunderstorm the last night and the sand at the site actually held up and packing out was a breeze. I appreciated the peaceful stop conveniently off of the interstate. I was concerned about being a lone, female traveler but Anthony made me feel welcome, safe, and seemed to really care for the campsites and guests, checking on everyone and tending to the site. There was a small creek near the campsite where I could sit and journal on some fallen trees- it was nice having access to explore their property a little bit.
The grounds were well kept and the tent camping vibes were cute with the bulb lights. I would recommend this for group trips, for sure, but it’s also good for solo or couple camping if you like to be friendly with neighbors. The toilet was clean and I liked that there was potable water.
I would have appreciated a fire ring for each individual tent site, otherwise there is a group fire fit (unless I missed one). Other than that- I would 100% come back:))))

I thoroughly enjoyed camping in my RV in site 1. Being surrounded by woods and the countryside location, allowed me to recharge through nature. The hosts even fixed me up with kindling in the fire pit so I could enjoy a campfire at night. What a thoughtful touch!

We loved camping on Jill & Anthony’s land. They were very accommodating and informative. It was very peaceful and relaxing. The privacy and ability to let my child run and have activities to do was very nice. We will definitely be back.

Very hospitable hosts. Clean sites, well maintained. A couple of upgrades would be welcomed. Possibly a different latch on the outhouse. The lock would occasionally get stuck while inside. And also maybe a solar powered light. Solar panel on the roof and light on the ceiling that’s motion activated.
Gaming shed was cool. Maybe add a basketball hoop. Next time will check out one of the vacation rentals. They looked really nice.

Host is very friendly and responsive but not intrusive, they go above and beyond to ensure enjoyment of your stay with them. Lots of space and very friendly pup neighbors to wear your (friendly) pups out! Stay with them if needing a place to stay in Tyler, you won’t be disappointed!

The day before we left, my girlfriend and I wanted to extend the stay by a day, but the app wasn’t working with us. Anthony (who had just restocked the firewood while we were gone. We didn’t need to ask, we just came back from a drive and it was restocked) came down to meet us. I sent him the money for the extra night on Zelle and we called it even. Nice people, nice campsite, will likely be back
