It is a paved road drive all the way to the entrance. Located at the edge of the prarie on the main trail is a sunrise/sunset/bird-watching platform that is 20 feet in the air with a 2 stage bridge to access it. We updated the outdoor kitchen with a 3 burner propane stove, propane grill and hot running water with a 3 bay sink. Other cooking options include a tripod over the fire and a charcoal grill. A short 10-minute drive to fire tower rd. brings you to a 2 mile loop trail with 2 waterfalls, Upper and Lower Piney Falls. Ozone falls is just a 20 minute drive. Then toward Spring City is Stinging Fork Falls at 25 minutes. Black mountain is my new favorite place especially the south overlook! The Hiking possibilities are nearly endless and close. I'll highlight one thru hike here since both trailheads are only 20 minutes away and is easy to coordinate with only 2 vehicles. It's a 10.2 mile hike that can be done in either direction and has a little something for everyone including a cave, boulder field, cascade and waterfall. Then you have massive Watts Bar Lake which is only 20 minutes away with a plethora of activities including the excursions we offer! We look forward to hosting you!

Stone Branch Cabin is a completely off the grid with no electricity or running water located in a wooded, rural area on Waldens Ridge close to several segments of the Cumberland Trail. There are ample opportunities for day trips to hiking trails, swimming holes, waterfalls, climbing spots, and more. The cabin is nestled on over 5 acres of wooded land complete with 2 wet weather streams. Just off the covered back porch you'll find an outdoor fire pit, chairs, an outdoor kitchen with a rain collection barrel for washing dishes, and a picnic table illuminated by solar string lights. We have one disc golf goal and a croquet set if yard games are your thing. We just retired from Active Duty Air Force! My ancestors have owned the land our NC cabins sit on since 1836. In fact, my mother grew up there after my Grandfather returned from WWII when there was no electricity and the outhouse was a bench over the creek. I grew up hiking the mountains with my brothers and our BB guns and my Uncle Frank at our family reunions. In 2005 he deeded us a parcel of land and we built our first cabin - Smawlie. We love to come to the cabin and Hike the trails on our own property, and of course, the world famous ones that join them, namely the Bartram and the Appalachian Trails. As you explore the lake, the trails, the rivers, and the mountain roads you'll see why our ancestors settled here. In 2018 - we bought the remainder of Uncle Frank's land - and in his honor built our second cabin - Frank's Landing. Also in that year I started managing my brother Bill's cabin. When we were stationed in Alaska for 6 heavenly years - we purchased a remote parcel of property and have slowly begun to develop it. We just completed building our cabin there. Take a spur trail off the main trail loop and there is a prayer shelter with a fire pit inspired by Luke 6:12 in the back corner of the property. Located at the edge of the prarie on the main trail is a sunrise/sunset/bird-watching platform that is 20 feet in the air with a 2 stage bridge to access it. We updated the outdoor kitchen with a 3 burner propane stove, propane grill and hot running water with a 3 bay sink. Other cooking options include a tripod over the fire and a charcoal grill. A short 10-minute drive to fire tower rd. brings you to a 2 mile loop trail with 2 waterfalls, Upper and Lower Piney Falls. Ozone falls is just a 20 minute drive. Then toward Spring City is Stinging Fork Falls at 25 minutes. Black mountain is my new favorite place especially the south overlook! The Hiking possibilities are nearly endless and close. I'll highlight one thru hike here since both trailheads are only 20 minutes away and is easy to coordinate with only 2 vehicles. It's a 10.2 mile hike that can be done in either direction and has a little something for everyone including a cave, boulder field, cascade and waterfall. Then you have massive Watts Bar Lake which is only 20 minutes away with a plethora of activities including the excursions we offer! We look forward to hosting you!

Another great trip to the Cove! For anyone who comes right after us, we set up your first fire logs in the firepit. We brought our own firewood but you’ll find enough logs in the wood crib to do about two fires, plus the giant stumps that are great to prolong the fire if you can get one going. George also has a bale of pine straw in there which is super helpful to get a fire started. My whole review is about fires, can you tell it was cold while we were there haha! Saw several deer and hawks. Lots of stars and quiet.

We had a wonderful time staying at Private Glamping w/ Outdoor Shower at Private Glamper/HOT TUB/MNTN VIEWS. Our hosts were so kind and thoughtful, and the setup was excellent and had everything one needs for a very comfortable and memorable glamping experience. The hot tub was definitely a highlight for us. Despite a sudden cold front coming in, the camper was always at a comfortable temperature and we never felt cold at night, even with outside temperatures dropping below freezing. Thank you again to our generous hosts for a great stay in this little oasis in Bryson City. We look forward to visiting again.

Weekend Trip to Private Glamper/HOT TUB/MNTN VIEWS

Picture this: Wake up in your cozy camper (very clean and comfortable bed) and hop in the hot tub (extra towels included), take a hot outdoor shower surrounded by fall leaves and head down into Bryson City for some coffee and breakfast. After that, spend the day hiking in the Smokeys, come back into town to explore some shops and breweries, then head back to your cozy trailer for a fire and to soak some more in the hot tub. That was our exact experience- even though it was about 50 degrees and raining by the evening, that actually made everything even more fun, hot tub included. This site is so unique, convenient, and well designed. You can tell the host takes pride in making it a perfect stay for everyone, with attention to detail (like putting out a Halloween themed basket with Kurig pods). She even refunded money for firewood we didn’t use. One note: the hot tub was set at 95 when we arrived, and after a few hours was only 97 even though we set it to 104. It took overnight to get up to temperature, but after that it stayed hot and we got plenty of use out of it.

I cannot emphasize enough how beautiful this spot is. The stream, the trees, the quiet. I have camped in almost every state, and this is easily one of my favorite sites. The road in a bit bumpy, but doable. I easily made the trek in a civic. The road is also great for taking a scenic walk. The covered porch was perfect for a rainy afternoon, and the heater was a welcome addition on cool autumn evenings. Close to the stunning Joyce Kilmer Wilderness & Nantahala National Forest. I hope to come back again!

This is such a gorgeous and relaxing spot. The cabin is clean and roomy and the outhouse is pretty nice lol! One of the best parts is that the dogs got to be off leash around the site. It was a perfect way to spend a few chilly October night. We had everything we needed: a fire pit to keep warm, cozy blankets in the cabin, and forest sounds to keep us company. I highly recommend giving this spot a try. George is a phenomenal host who was available immediately when I called him with a question. 10/10 would come back!!

We loved our stay at the Magical Resorts Groundskeeper Cabin! Mary truly thought of every detail when designing and decorating each space. The beautiful stained glass, cozy bedding, fire torches, and even the dishes made us feel like we were actually in Hagrid’s cabin! Even if you’re not a Harry Potter fan, the cabin is simply beautiful and so thoughtfully done. We have two younger children who absolutely loved it—they spent hours on the swings and the play area by the water and enjoyed feeding and petting the animals. One evening we visited downtown Haynesville and had a great meal at a local restaurant. We probably could have spent more time exploring the town, but we just loved relaxing in nature. Mary was so kind and quick to respond to all of my messages. We will definitely be back!

Weekend Trip to TeePee Village Ocoee Hiwassee River

What a value!!!!!!! 😍🤑 Dirk our host was very accommodating. We felt very safe and secure on site. We really appreciated all the communal amenities like the grill, hot tub, fire pit. Being able to bring pets with no additional al charge, also a big plus. Each teepee rental receives their OWN bathroom (away from the teepee) and each teepee has a mini fridge and air conditioning!! Dirk mentioned they might switch them out for heaters in the cold months. Also not mentioned in the listing, there is a stocked pond on site with small mouth and crappie. Special tip, the chilhowee recreation area can be reached in LESS than 20 min via Benton Springs road, which is a mildly adventurous, low speed gravel switchback mountain road. Any vehicle should be fine in dry conditions with minimal clearance. Excited to come back with friends and family!

I stayed in the Dogwood cabin and it was perfect. The cabin was clean when I checked in and the bed (queen) was very comfortable. The bathrooms were also clean and it was nice having a microwave nearby. The campground was quiet. There seemed to be quite a few full-timer sites that weren’t occupied. Would definitely stay there again.

Overall, we really loved this cabin. There are a lot of cute touches with the art work and cat perches. It was well appointed for camping (glamping?) and had games, cooking pans, and lighter, etc. Cute and cozy.

The clear walls and ceiling make for a forest emersed one of a kind experience. It is like sleeping on the porch when you were young. Comfy for the whole family.

Such a great experience! The cottages were super cute, the property was peaceful, and we loved the animals and the little fairy village—it added so much charm. The hammock area was a really fun and relaxing touch. The host was kind, thoughtful, and very understanding when we had to leave earlier than planned. Everything was clean and cozy, and we truly enjoyed our time there. If I could make a small suggestion, it would be to add a few towel hooks for after showers and maybe clean the AC units or consider fans for better airflow. Other than that, everything was perfect—we’d happily stay again!

I really enjoyed my stay here! The campground is quiet, peaceful, and has a unique charm that makes it feel special. The rental was well stocked. Also, the owner was friendly and welcoming, which added to the great experience. The only thing I’d mention is that the air conditioning unit could use some cleaning or maybe an upgrade, and having a ceiling fan or two would really help with air circulation. Other than that, everything was great — I’d definitely stay here again!
