The secured shelter is located atop the ridge on our property. The hiking trail is 0.46 miles long with an elevation gain of 328 feet. I can pack in your gear and provide transport for young children with my ATV.
There is no electricity, but water and an outhouse are available. Inside, you’ll find a wood stove for cold weather and an outdoor fireplace on the porch. The shelter includes two indoor bunks with camping pads provided, along with two hammock hooks on the porch.
The indoor space measures 10x10 feet, with a front porch of the same size. A fire ring with grill and some basic cookware are available—please bring your own utensils. A bear cable is on site for securing food (we do have one known bear in the area).

Our location is phenomenal we are an hour from Knoxville and Asheville and just about 1/4 mile off I-40. Right at the foothills of the Smoky Mountains and 35 minutes from Gatlinburg about 40 minutes to Pigeon Forge (Dollywood), also about 45 minutes to Sevierville and one of my favorite Tanger Outlets!! The beautiful Smoky Mountains the National Park is filled with hiking trails and horse stables and trails. Some of the best white water rafting is less then 5 miles up the road along with zip lining and a lil taste of moonshine here and there.
This property is primitive with no electric and has a camping style bathhouse. IT’s recommended for outdoor lovers and people that are not too needy. Hurricane Helene brought unforecasted changes in the land but the tranquility of the River remains. We have worked to restore as much as we could. As for us it’s still our happy place in the Smoky Mountains!

Neighborhood overview
Very quiet here almost all of the time but there is a possibility for noise especially on some major holiday weekends. Usually if someone comes down the road it is the Post Man, UPS or Fed EX except for the 4th of July when our boat dock is often a prime location for a big fireworks display. Usually can't tell a Saturday from a Tuesday most of the time as 80-90% of houses in the area are second vacation homes and unoccupied most of the year. Only 2 houses are located past ours before the cul-de-sac. We are separated by trees and woods on both sides. Private yet very Conveniently located.
Getting around
Plenty of Convenient Parking located across the concrete driveway. A Large Heavy Duty Wagon is Available for loading and unloading. Plenty of Great biking and hiking spaces are all around. Close to Knoxville, Cumberland Gap, The Smokey Mountains, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Cherokee NC and plenty of options should you choose to leave the lake for a while or your against fishing in the rain.
We are located approximately 8 Miles to New Tazewell Municipal Airport and about 9 Miles to Woodlake Golf & Country Club. Hospital, Veterinarian, Groceries, Walmart, Dollar Stores, Subway, McDonalds, KFC, Taco Bell, Local Dining, Antiques & Thrift Shops, etc. all within a 5-7 Mile Drive. Awesome hiking in and around the national and state parks and all over the area to Magic Places like The White Rocks or the Sand Cave or water falls and rivers as well as more historical trails from Daniel Boone heading west to the Tri State Marker. Glamping in one of our three amazing luxury tents – located right on the river, the creek or tucked away in the mountains – is the ultimate in camping meets comfort. All three locations are nestled up against our farm and have full access to the river and gathering spots. Tents have their own private restroom with double compost toilets and an off grid hot shower heated by propane.
Barnyard
Staying overnight in our barnyard camper gives you the complete farm life experience. You will be staying right in the middle of our farm—between our barn and our milking parlor—surrounded by chickens, turkeys, and guinea hens! Inside your camper, you will have running water, a restroom, and a small kitchen. If you’re curious about life on a family farm or just want to get some good quality time in with farm animals, this is the place to stay.
Boondocking
Your own RV is welcome to park riverside, we currently do not have hookups so you will be dry camping. You are also welcome to use our fire pit and restrooms if they are available, as guests staying in our glamping tents will have the option to reserve them. The restrooms have double compost toilets and an off grid hot shower heated by propane. You can check with us prior to making your reservation to see if other guests have already reserved these amenities for their stay.

Classic tent camping is a blast here! You can bring your own tent or rent one from us. This is the ultimate experience for living off the land and reconnecting with nature. You will have your own fire pit, and you will be surrounded by an abundance of wildlife.
When you stay overnight with us here on the farm you become part of our family. We want to make sure that you not only unwind but also get to take advantage of all the amazing things this beautiful homestead has to offer. You will have direct access to the river for kayaking, tubing, fishing, swimming, hiking, or just sitting along the bank enjoying the fresh air. Our family’s favorite activity is gathering by the fire pit at night, listening to the river, and gazing at the stars, which shine brighter here than anywhere we’ve ever been. We would love to share everything this peaceful place has with you.
Waking up by the river is rejuvenating and is the perfect way to start your day as you reconnect with nature. While you’re perfectly welcome to cook all of your meals over a campfire for the full “roughing it” experience, we understand that there are times when you just want to kick back and relax. With that in mind, we also offer hot, home cooked family meals, delivered directly to your door upon request and at an additional expense.

The secured shelter is located atop the ridge on our property. The hiking trail is 0.46 miles long with an elevation gain of 328 feet. I can pack in your gear and provide transport for young children with my ATV.
There is no electricity, but water and an outhouse are available. Inside, you’ll find a wood stove for cold weather and an outdoor fireplace on the porch. The shelter includes two indoor bunks with camping pads provided, along with two hammock hooks on the porch.
The indoor space measures 10x10 feet, with a front porch of the same size. A fire ring with grill and some basic cookware are available—please bring your own utensils. A bear cable is on site for securing food (we do have one known bear in the area).

Our location is phenomenal we are an hour from Knoxville and Asheville and just about 1/4 mile off I-40. Right at the foothills of the Smoky Mountains and 35 minutes from Gatlinburg about 40 minutes to Pigeon Forge (Dollywood), also about 45 minutes to Sevierville and one of my favorite Tanger Outlets!! The beautiful Smoky Mountains the National Park is filled with hiking trails and horse stables and trails. Some of the best white water rafting is less then 5 miles up the road along with zip lining and a lil taste of moonshine here and there.
This property is primitive with no electric and has a camping style bathhouse. IT’s recommended for outdoor lovers and people that are not too needy. Hurricane Helene brought unforecasted changes in the land but the tranquility of the River remains. We have worked to restore as much as we could. As for us it’s still our happy place in the Smoky Mountains!

Neighborhood overview
Very quiet here almost all of the time but there is a possibility for noise especially on some major holiday weekends. Usually if someone comes down the road it is the Post Man, UPS or Fed EX except for the 4th of July when our boat dock is often a prime location for a big fireworks display. Usually can't tell a Saturday from a Tuesday most of the time as 80-90% of houses in the area are second vacation homes and unoccupied most of the year. Only 2 houses are located past ours before the cul-de-sac. We are separated by trees and woods on both sides. Private yet very Conveniently located.
Getting around
Plenty of Convenient Parking located across the concrete driveway. A Large Heavy Duty Wagon is Available for loading and unloading. Plenty of Great biking and hiking spaces are all around. Close to Knoxville, Cumberland Gap, The Smokey Mountains, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Cherokee NC and plenty of options should you choose to leave the lake for a while or your against fishing in the rain.
We are located approximately 8 Miles to New Tazewell Municipal Airport and about 9 Miles to Woodlake Golf & Country Club. Hospital, Veterinarian, Groceries, Walmart, Dollar Stores, Subway, McDonalds, KFC, Taco Bell, Local Dining, Antiques & Thrift Shops, etc. all within a 5-7 Mile Drive. Awesome hiking in and around the national and state parks and all over the area to Magic Places like The White Rocks or the Sand Cave or water falls and rivers as well as more historical trails from Daniel Boone heading west to the Tri State Marker. Barnyard
Staying overnight in our barnyard camper gives you the complete farm life experience. You will be staying right in the middle of our farm—between our barn and our milking parlor—surrounded by chickens, turkeys, and guinea hens! Boondocking
Your own RV is welcome to park riverside, we currently do not have hookups so you will be dry camping. You are also welcome to use our fire pit and restrooms if they are available, as guests staying in our glamping tents will have the option to reserve them. The restrooms have double compost toilets and an off grid hot shower heated by propane. You can check with us prior to making your reservation to see if other guests have already reserved these amenities for their stay.

Classic tent camping is a blast here! You can bring your own tent or rent one from us. This is the ultimate experience for living off the land and reconnecting with nature. You will have your own fire pit, and you will be surrounded by an abundance of wildlife.
When you stay overnight with us here on the farm you become part of our family. We want to make sure that you not only unwind but also get to take advantage of all the amazing things this beautiful homestead has to offer. You will have direct access to the river for kayaking, tubing, fishing, swimming, hiking, or just sitting along the bank enjoying the fresh air. This place was exactly as described! Host was welcoming and helpful in setting up a comfortable stay, plus the indoor bathroom/outdoor shower space was a great amenity. Close to Knoxville, and about an hour from popular Great Smoky Mountains trailheads. Great location to disconnect without being too far from the city or dealing with the traffic in the park.

It’s hard to get a simple spot to pitch a tent for less than $30 these days. Staying here was definitely worth a few more dollars! The beds were surprisingly comfortable and even though we had temperatures in the low 30s one night the provided space heater with our propane tank kept us more than warm.

Weekend Trip to Crystal Mountain Camping Shelter
It was exactly what I was looking for. I did 4 days alone. You park at the house and head up to the site on a dirt road made for a sidekick or off-road golf cart. The views were great, Noone out there but you and nature. Maynard was a gracious host and communicative. Otherwise he left me alone until check out when he came to pick me and my gear up and take me back to my car.
A well built shack, something to be proud of, with enough room comfortably for two. Two that want to camp, but start with shelter vs a tent. Had a little woodburner inside with plenty of wood and two shelf beds. No water, but potted water for cleaning and whatnot. No electricity. The fire and a simple headlamp was all that was needed. The deck had an old cast iron woodburning stove, perfect for when you want to move from the firepit to the deck and chill with a fire or cook on. I cooked over the firepit though. It was the end of Oct. and fall setting in. Got a little chilly, but with the inside burner, it was cozy. It also had a shelf/sink deal on the outside, perfect for washing up, cleaning up and prepping food.
A small and private outhouse style bathroom. Far enough away from the shack and it also had a great view. Lol
My recommendations would be to ensure you bring enough drinking water. I took a 40pack of bottled water for one, for 4 days and it was enough.
Hands down, I will definitely come back. Maybe this time with a friend.

Tom’s camper was the perfect getaway on a long weekend for this single mama and two kiddos! It’s perfectly located between the region’s three state parks, with cozy beds, ample heat, plenty of towels and bedding, and all the kitchenware needed. The hot tub, hammock, and fire pit were perfect - the wood and snores supplies were a great touch! The outdoor tv/projection screen were super easy to figure out thanks to their excellent instructions. My kids can’t wait to come back!

I had a great experience at GlampKnox. You can asily navigate to the site via Google Maps, and the directions provided by the GlampKnox staff were very clear, as were the signs on site. You drive up an inclined gravel road to the camp site, where 3 sturdy canvas tents are set up on wooden platforms. There is a single parking spot in front of each tent. My tent held up perfectly in the rain, was clean, mostly bug-free [one stink bug which I ignored], with a very comfortable bed and extra blankets. I loved the phone charger pack, fan, lantern, and available propane heater [which I did not use in October]. I used the restroom and outdoor shower attached to the barn, and they got the job done [shower water was warm enough but not very hot], but the shower might be a bit cold in the winter months. I did not have time to visit with the horses or set a campfire, but those options are available if you're taking it easy. I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

GlamKnox is an excellent place to stay, whether for a night or for several. I was in Clare which is a small tent, but it was just me. Very comfortable, roomy and clean. Bed was super comfortable, I worried I might be cold with the blankets provided - I need not have worried. The charging station was helpful, the fans were great at midday. Bathrooms by barn were spotless, outdoor shower had nice hot water. Loved the location, close to Knoxville, close to Smoky Mountain National Park (avoid going the main route to avoid traffic).
Excellent communication, host is willing to work with you if there are issues. Extremely friendly.
Somehow I made friends with Smoky, the barn cat and she adopted me for the last three nights of my stay. Super friendly animal and added a lot of relaxing unwind time to my visit as I got to pet her on the porch.

I visited during the week and it was perfect. Secluded and peaceful. I did wander around to find the shower down at the barn but after I found it outside, it was great. Shampoo, conditioner and towels provided, which was greatly appreciated.
Note that the walk to the barn is down a hill and a little steep, but there is a rope to hold. Would recommend

This place is so cute and was perfect for us, our 3 year old, and our dog. Our son loved the tiny home, calling it, "my house". The house is thoughtfully designed making the most of the such a small space. We had everything we needed and more. We are used to primitive camping so it was nice to have more accommodations available like shower, stove, dishes, a Keurig & microwave. It's only about a 25 minute drive to Gatlinburg with a Walmart down the street as well to grab some groceries or extras you may need.

We stayed on cabin 11 for 3 nights and we loved it, the staff were very kind, the bathhouse was perfect, the cleanest I’ve seen in my many trips, the kitchen is fully equipped and very clean as well, very convenient since there are not too many options for breakfast around. The farm is close to Asheville, Gatlinburg, etc, very quiet, peaceful, I will definitely stay there again soon! I recommend this place 110%!

Tents are well appointed with chargers, light and fan. Beds were VERY comfortable. Host was very responsive and brought us ice last minute.. very friendly and accommodating.
We had the place to ourselves and built a fire even though it was warm. Sat in the rocking chairs and enjoyed the evening.
