This was my second time staying at William’s cabin. This unique HipCamp is my favorite. Peace, solitude and a warm wood stove on a freezing night! Weekend Trip to Peaceful Haven Cabin

We loved it! The cabin is cozy and cute! Plenty of hiking onsite and friendly dogs/cats to keep you company! Helga was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed. She gave great local recommendations and even had fire wood ready for us on arrival! This was great because it had rained the day prior and we had dry wood! The hiking on her property is beautiful. Plenty of rock formations and views. Thank you for a great stay!

Weekend Trip to Beech Hollow Hideout

This was a camping trip I'll never forget. William was such a kind and hospitable man, his property was nothing short of breathtaking. This place was a great escape from 9-5 city life and I can't wait to return. Don't ignore other reviews about how steep the small trek up to the shack is! It's a short walk but very steep and uneven/rocky ground. Make sure you wear good shoes/boots! Rocket and Bo 🐕 we're the sweetest dogs and great company when they weren't busy chasing squirrels. I very much enjoyed the hike along an old logging road on Will's land, about 1.5 miles and took me less than an hour at a slow pace, saw deer tracks and the deer that left them about half-way through. It was such a beautiful and peaceful hike; I wish I looped back around to make longer! There were no mosquitoes or ticks to be seen but be prepared for lots of Chinese lady beetles (look like lady bugs but are very invasive and annoying!) And stink bugs, if you come in the fall or spring. The shack had bedding, an amazing wood stove, cooking/art supplies, books and much more. Again, Will was so gracious and hospital. He checked in on me by msg in the mornings, showed me around his woodworking studio and informed me about his property and animals. His artwork is truly something else, the man is a real artist and beautiful soul. I bought a cutting board and Will picked me some greens from his garden before I left. I would highly recommend staying here and can't wait to return myself!

Wow! My boyfriend and I came out to William’s land after needing a break from living in the city. I’ve never done Hipcamp before so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it was absolutely serene and the perfect reset. Our only regret is not staying more than one night to fully unplug. We will be back - and will pack MUCH lighter next time for the hike up the hill! Such a haven!

Host William is amazing. Very friendly, definitely the spot for “off the beaten path” travelers. Everyone is correct about the hike- its ROUGH. Rougher than i anticipated 😂 If you're used to that & the elevation, totally fine. The place itself is amazing. Had a great time meeting William, the dogs who protected me all night, & walked me to & from the site, and Johnny the goat of course. Really really cool place, it was a great start to the roadtrip. We loved our stay at the Stone Branch Cabin. Cute cabin on a nice piece of land in a beautiful part of TN! Everyone including the dog had the best time. The solar lights were a nice surprise. Thanks! We will be back!
