My husband and I traveled from Florida to the Smokey Mountain Lakeside Resort to celebrate our anniversary and enjoy the great outdoors with some tent camping — and we absolutely loved it! We had a site with electric and water, which came in super handy. The weather was perfect, and the entire campground was beautiful and so well-kept. I was especially impressed by how clean the bathrooms were!
The gentleman who guided us to our site was so kind and helpful — he even gave us some extra firewood, which we really appreciated. The campers next to us were friendly too, which made the whole experience even better.
Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better stay. We’re already planning another trip for next year and will definitely be coming back!

Had a great stay at Turkey Creek Campground in October 2025 to see the leaves change in the mountains. It was the cleanest Campground we've ever stayed at, the bathrooms were impeccable. There's not much of a creek, but it is pretty close to some fantastic Rivers. Rick is an outstanding host, we had forgot our water hose, and he longest one no questions asked. Will definitely be staying there again five stars

We had a lovely time! Maynard, our host, was very kind and made us feel welcome. Firewood aplenty, running water, and two tables at the site. Very clean and well kept! Bonus points - we didn’t see any ticks after three days, impressive in TN. Our dogs enjoyed romping in the sun near our campsite. We could hear some neighboring hounds at night, and the nearby horses / donkey were sweet. Very quiet throughout the day. Would absolutely visit again!

We picked a HOT weekend but thankfully the campsite is nestled back into the trees. The shade made a noticeable difference in temperature. We were very comfortable despite the heat wave. The site also butts up against a fence line so we were delighted when a group of horses, ponies, goats, and one donkey stopped by to say hi. They were curious but weren’t any trouble. Enjoyed the two nights we were there.

Everything was great! Maynard has great hospitality, he checked in on us a few times as we got set up. Bit of a walk to get large firewood, but it is included so its worth the walk (maybe 100yd if that.). Steep but fun hiking trails right on the property, behind the cabin at the end of the drive. Site was flat and had a great view, it rained our whole visit practically and the ground never flooded. 10/10!

We loved our stay at Turkey Creek! The amenities and amazing hospitality provided by Rick were top notch! Rick checked on us every day to make sure we had what we needed and even accommodated a move mid-week when our site flooded due to unusual amounts of rain. We loved the proximity to nearby attractions including Nantahala Outdoor Center, Bryson City and both the Fontana Dam and Oconaluftee sides of the Smokies! We were so sad to leave and will definitely return!!

Turkey Creek campground was wonderful. It’s beautifully landscaped and well kept. The bath houses are truly very clean and comfortable. We had an easy time finding the campground and Rick was wonderful and helpful in every way imaginable. Our camper Van got a leak in the radiator and he was helpful in trying to get us information about mechanics and offering to give us a ride if we needed it. I would definitely come back here again and would recommend to anyone.
The campground is near a beautiful river and lake. They’re hiking and bike trails at the campground. It’s close to Bryson city and Cherokee. There’s also easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway.

WE LOVED CRYSTAL MOUNTAIN AND PLANNED TO RETURN!! Maynard was very professional and friendly, he gave us helpful camping tips and advice and his hospitality was very welcoming. The views were beautiful and so was the campsite. We have nothing to complain about and we highly recommend the campsite at crystal Mountain. We will be booking very shortly again:)

Very Nice Campsite. Maynard was very professional and gave us tips for our next camping adventure. It was very private and there was plenty of firewood available for us to use. All around I would rate 10/10. Would definitely recommend to anyone camping for one night or one week.
